Texturally this was the greatest shift I had ever encountered when I first heard their first album the year it came out. It slayed others.It was a new aesthetic for the second wave of sampling. Sampling is now almost a dirty word, due to its chronic miss use. This album redefined the possibilities of what could be done within a small band format. Massive love and respect to The Godz for continuing to try and transcend the ordinary and the lazy. To do my bit I have pitched this band to a lot of Headz. Love from Bangkok.
