- The new federally-mandated driver's license called Real ID is contributing to wait times at DMVs across California. CBS2's Kristine Lazar helped one woman get past a mix-up that led to a long delay getting the new license.
This is just a thought, if your identity is stolen and all this sensitive information is linked to your ID who is liable for safeguarding this?

So the old ID. I have is fake? compared to the real ID
From what I understand, your Old ID (if not expired) is NOT fake.... but the Real ID gets you in at the Airport...... which is the main reason why the Real ID was started. I renewed my License and was sent a new DL with the words "Federal Limits Apply" in the upper right corner, instead of the Bear with a Gold Star stamped on it. In the meantime, I am in Pa. for family obligations.... So I am just going to get a Passport for now.... so I can come back home to visit..... hope this helps.
Anybody that says my drivers license is not compliant is crazy, in Oregon I had to prove with soc sec card,birth certificate,mailing address, that this was me. Now the devil, I mean Fed wants me to do it all over again.

You can get a real ID from +1 214 814 0406 they also do other documents like Visa, Degree, certificate, Passport, Diploma, Working permit etc
There was a delay in my dad’s REAL ID. They also couldn’t verify his passport. So he went in today and gave them his birth certificate.
Honestly everyone, just bring your original or a certified copy of your birth certificate, your social security as your first two proofs. Those are easy peasy and will never expire on you and are likely the easiest to verify as well.
Then whatever you have for your two proofs of residency.
I don't use my full name on my birth certificate since it's too long. I just use the middle initial instead of my full middle name. My ss card vehicle registration, even my current drivers license uses just my middle initial. I guess the DMV wants everything to match the name on my birth certificate otherwise they consider it a name change and want documents from a name change. It's a real cluster flop.
Yeah heading to crowded DMV would take you 2hrs+ even you have appointment, homeland security is all about, let's get kiosks.
The Parent Company, usually a Bank or Holding Company, where the money comes from with the help of Fed Gov. Plus you have the insurance from a security/insurance, usually you have to really dig in data research similar schemes. I am trying to do everything, some forms it's required to have a CPA/Attorney/Tax Preparer. I am going to the Local Fed Office, and the tutoring for low income. I would suggest getting top dollar lawyer that works strictly with cyber security.

@@chrisusand7154 we know this chris but its a failed campaign!! 3 an a half years to chip every person alive!! its taken them 6 to just chip debit cards/credit cards!! real ID which has been voted out in 08 with bush, voted out when obama wanted the swine flu pandemic, voted out when obama was going to do it as a part of obama care, and now they are getting it mandatory in cali in 2020 not sure about other states... 3 year campaign just to get everyone motivated for the real ID... so why worry? bible says be of good cheer, fear not, for your redemption is near!! What a nightmare - but I’m a news reporter and the facts I gathered reflects that REAL ID’s can be applied for beginning in March 2019 - but they won’t be issued (mailed out) until closer to 2020 in Pennsylvania. I do realize that California is rolling them out different than our state - so it’s important to know in advance of the complications folks are experiencing in Cali - so I know what to expect here starting in March. I’m curious if this lady ever received her ID yet - cause DMV employees tend to be the most uninformed workers in the nation. When new changes transpire - DMV employees are often the last to be informed LOL
