Been wanting a kayak for years. Finally got out on one for the first time a month or so ago. Opens up so many new possibilities for fishing. Once i get the constant work on my car done that's going to be my next big purchase. Wish i could get one like you have but anything will be OK for me

Hell yeah brother! Skateboarding and fishing have more things in common than some people think. That's why i love them both. Fishing from a kayak gets very addicting.

I recently got a 12 ft jon boat with a trolling motor and a marine battery for $300. Such a steal, right when i saw it I was praying i was the first to reach out. Got it and was on the water for the next 2 weeks everyday lol tight lines brother! stoked for some fishing content.

Bro its crazy, im 28 years old and i stopped skating when in 8th grade. I koined the army for 6 years and within the time of my adulthood my hobbies include camping, fishing, guns among many other things. Got yourself a sub. hey Nigel i didn't know you're in the area melones is a good fishery but those big lakes will get you winded if you pedal all day but you're definitely more fit than me haha you can always add an electric trolling motor as well but you will have to register your kayak at the dmv. im glad youre getting into yaks and fishing more. cant wait to see how this journey unfolds!

My dad has this thing you sit the Kayak on and it has wheels so you can pull it around. Might be something to look into.

congrats on the kayak! i did the same thing with my first one. I was gunna go check but them i saw how nice the expensive ones are and went all out. it was well worth it and kayak fishing has been so fun. i did not grow up fishing so learning it in my adult years has been fun.

I had a yak for a year or so and it was tons of fun but by the end I had so much sht attached to it moving around or grabbing anything was pain…my buddy and I got a little aluminum deep v now it’s much more comfortable but yak fishing definitely has its own appeal.
Eventually I’ll graduate to a boat but definitely want to see how far I can take the Yak!
@@NigelJonesTv Get out there and nail some tail I’ll be looking forward to some fishing vids. Couple years ago we were fishing the salt river in phoenix from shore for flatheads and my buddy had a big fish get caught up in some rocks or something so he jumped in the yak at 3 am pitch black and went to see if he could get it unstuck. He did. I ran down river next to him with a flashlight for what had to be a couple hundred yards until I couldn’t follow him anymore and he disappeared into the night but about 20 min later he came paddling back upstream with a 50 lb flathead in his lap. Yak fishing can be pretty gnarly.
You gotta kickflip while catching a feesh. Get a good spot on the shore with some flat concrete, cast, get one on, and do tehe flip while cranking it in.
