Bungie really should watch this documentary now that they are away from Microsoft and Activision, recapture the spirit of who they were and can be.
Sadly, if you watch the making of videos from each Halo game, you will notice how almost the 90% of the people who were key elements for the franchise are not more in Bungie.
Bungie is not the same. Halo is not the same.
But the memories are with us forever.

Halo 2 was one of the best games I have ever played in my life. Great memories on xbox live.
Halo 2 will always hold my best online gaming moments. I was in grade 9 when Halo 2 dropped.
Am I the only one who plays Halo more for it's story, than it's multiplayer? I think Halo's storyline is one of the best ever made. I don't know, maybe it was because I didn't have didn't have any friends when I was younger.
Sean Johnson I've played every Halo game mainly for the singleplayer storyline. I haven't cared about Halo multiplayer since Halo 2.

@@MrBlackspoon literally a number less than 10. A common misconception. I saw a reddit article a few years ago that mentioned over 50 employees that worked on halo 2 and are still there. But yeah, people move on.

I can't make it through this without crying.. this documentary Doesn't just capture the struggles of the game industry, which I personally understand being a former member of it. It captures the essence of youth. And still very young myself, I've come to value that period time, seeing the similarities in the college videos, comparing it to my friends and the work that we do… it's scary. I was HUGE Halo fan and this is Bungie's very last Halo video documentary...and...I made it in to the video,at 49:29! Righteous! :_)

Destiny is lackluster. consoles MMO's are unsatisfying grindfest transaction markets. Destiny is not better than even super different made by other ppl Halo.
try something else bungie. but it likely wont beat Halo 5 say what you will about Halo's changes. but it has a full campaign and all free DLC and now PVE because i love friefight warzone far more than strikes.

Seriously, I was wet from tears from half way in to the end of the clip... Words can not describe what emotions which runs through me when I read, play and listen to what have to do with Halo. Halo one was the one game my father bought me before he died, now these games are portals to the nostalgic childhood when everything was innocent and perfect. My father was the one I ever cared about and this is one of my good memories.
i feel like crying now. Halo was such a good and amazing game. And dont even mention the amazing music. God it gave us as fans a feeling only halo can, now that halo is gone. What do we do now? hope for 343i to bring back halo? 343 already screwed up almost 3 times. This is the last chance. I wish i could meet up with the old whole community instead of the multiple seperated new, old and even different communities. Is the fight over or will halo come back?

there is talk of Microsoft buying them back.... they see how the 343 industry's are doing things and looking back to the good days when halo was there bread and butter. With out bungie there would almost be no Xbox. So Microsoft could end up writing a check, but I'm sure 343 won't wanna let go.

Bungie should never have cut ties with Microsoft and fired Martin. Halo and Bungie have suffered a fall from grace. I'm sure Bungie did what they felt was the right choice... But hindsight is 20\20, and it appears past decisions, toxic publishers like Activision, and unrealistic development schedules have developed into disasterous mistakes over the years...
Destiny just isn't the successor Halo deserved.

In my heart, Halo 2 is still what I remember most, when we used to play "Zombie" mode, where we Team Slayer, being Red or Green.

I watch this and then I read the comments and it saddens me that another community is going to tear something down that it helped build. A community that's going to tear a company down that wants to do nothing more than to please them. Most people when they want more content want 4 things: they want it bigger, they want it prettier, they want the story to be developed and explained, and they want improvements. Bungie and Microsoft captured that magic and the community harnessed it. The trilogy closed and books were written and the Halo trilogy was done. But there were comments, articles, forums, letters, etc. asking what happens next. People wanted more multiplayer, more maps, wanted the servers to stay, and with the known announcement of another console people wanted to know if Master Chief would exist anywhere. How does a company respond to a community that's been good to them? HD REMAKES! then the answer to people wanting bigger, badder and developed Halo 4! Master Chief gets more personality we see how broken he is. We see how messed up the spartan program is.we find out about the forerunners, and all this other amazing things plus a MC collection that brings back all the games you love and the servers and multiplayer. Why is it so hard to please some of you people?

God... I was 7 years old when I first experienced Halo. I'm not a big fan of the Halo series (I loved the first one a lot but the next ones didn't keep that charm) but now that I look back, I realize how that game modeled the FPS industry into what it is today as well as our gaming experience.

Hi Bungie my son is a huge fan of destiny and halo and his dream is to work for you one day . He would love to upload more videos and has educational learning difficulties and I wondered if you could follow him He is Simian 99 and adores the game destiny. I had breast cancer this time last year and my dream is for him to get lots of followers for him and ideas to support him on his gaming and uploading on you tube. For this entire hour long documentary all of the background music was composed by Marty. Not only this but he fills a considerable number of the interview segments as the COMPOSER, someone who in most cases has little to no effect on game design. And to anyone who followed Bungie Marty was one of the most prominent names that came to mind when the company's name was mentioned. The moment Marty was fired is when Bungie fell. Other Bungie greats have been lost along the years, but Marty's loss shines among the rest as one of the most damning company moves. Regardless of if Marty's supposed burnout was to blame for his firing, regardless of if Activision was to blame and wanted to silence him, The loss of Marty should and always will be remembered as the death of Bungie, or at least what we remember Bungie as.
Like or not guys 343 has done as much as bungie people say halo 4 sucks...why...because it wasn't bungie. Halo 4 is an amazing title and kept the series going now with 343 remastering halo 1,2,3,4 on xbox one is the ultimate tribute to bungie and the best gift to halo fans like Halo CE anniversary.
***** Halo reach was light years better than 4.Not only in the fact that Halo Reach made everyone's dreams come true but in the fact hat it's single player and multi-player were balanced and fun unlike Halo 4.
Halo 4 was trying to hard on multi-player and ended up screwing everyone instead. Halo 4 was in general a lot less enjoyable halo game and was a step in the wrong direction.
Fort Legend Well you can't really call Halo 4 a Halo game, it falls short on the standard, that makes a halo , a "Halo Game", Also Reach is my favorite multiplayer but it is quite unbalanced with Armour abilities, they are essentially power weapons that you get to start of with, )they are as powerful/useful as "Power weapons"

Great documentary. Halo has many key elements all working together to make it successful. Trying to duplicate that with another game will be very difficult. Good luck to Bungie.

RyzeN King Dude not even. Most of the story telling and background lore is on those digital "cards" or whatever you can find on their website. They aren't even IN the main game and it's the stuff that gives you the most story... they really screwed the pooch with storytelling in Destiny. It could have been so good, rich and deep...

My first video game console was an Atari 2800 (grew up in the late 70's and early 80's). I could sit and play for hours. Then the NES came out, I could play for hours. When the XBOX came out, I could play for days! Halo blew me away, the story and the locations were really cool.
i've only played halo 1, 2 and 3(played 3's campaign 3 times) but this actually made me want to pick up ODST, sounds awesome.
Finally an IGN video actually worth watching from start to finish...

I remember my Halo days. My first Halo was Halo 2 but I was too young to know how to connect to xbl, but when I got Halo 3 and my first Xbox 360 the rest was history. I used to play 8 hours a day, hell, I've had nights where I've played for 12 hours straight. Those were the days. It's interesting to see some college students living life turn into something as big as this.
Man, bungie era halo was fun, a lot of lighthearted fun, so many awesome moments in multiplayer.

i really enjoyed the halo series especially my first experience playing halo2 multiplayer on Live for the first time. halo is really fun and just more fun, i just feel sorry for all the other people who never became part of the community.
Halo:odst was SOOO underrated. It's campaign was the best with it's film-noir theme and the best video game music ever!
