Mark just said the same thing to Marques that MrBeast said to MrWhoseTheBoss. "It makes sense for you to have to high end shots because you do tech, but for me, I don't want it to seem over produced"
I've noticed it too. I was expecting to Mark say that, who wants to watch a 4K shot of elephant toothpaste or glitter bomb? Another thing is when people realize this is not overproduced content they'll think that, oh I can make it too. So, this realization connects the content creator to the audience so fast.
Mark it was awesome listening to you on the podcast! Looking forward to seeing your new show, and keep on inspiring! It's so awesome to see the two most inspirational UA-camrs talk. Marques, you're getting so good at interviewing.
my thought on mark, i thought he was overrated, but then after year working as software developer that being part of big project, i can say that mark is deserve people admiration.. yes he look cocky and he embrace it become part of his persona, but to plan and execute viral video product about an engineering product, he really is a good product owner and product manager at the very least..
While I can agree with the sentiment, it's kinda funny how most people who say the tech doesn't matter and "I just film with my iPhone" don't think about how they're using the most expensive smartphone which most people can't get, which costs about as much as a professional camera in most markets, and which has arguably the best video camera on mobile lol. Like in many events most people will ask around if someone has an iPhone when they wanna capture something with just a mobile coz it's better and less common than what most have, if someone has it I'd also say just shoot with your phone, otherwise it's likely ugly footage from a cheaper phone. Either way though, the biggest compromise is always the audio which is hard to get around without proper gear as far as I've seen. People will watch a vid they're interested in regardless but it's also easier to recommend said video to others when it's better produced if it's not just incredibly entertaining content for everyone. But storytelling is probably one of the most important skills to have overall if not the most important.
There are youtubers who can make more complicated things than mark rober but they lack the storytelling part. That's what sets him apart from others. That's what makes a video viral!
No hate towards Mark, he seems like a cool guy, but I’ve been seeing this trend everywhere of interviewees not using professional mics, opting for AirPods or something of the sort instead. It’s baffling. I have decent mic setup at my house and I mainly just use it for zoom calls. It’s not difficult, nor expensive to ensure good audio quality, especially if you’re a guest on someone’s show. The funny part about when it’s Internet personalities, like bro you have the mics just use them
@@papa_NCF yeah he literally has a bunch of nice mics. I think it’s to seem more “normal”, basically anyone might have a pair of AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones but not a 2000$ boom mic

Yeah literally using ear pods instead of air pods would have yielded significantly better audio.
