This is just ridiculously powerful. There is not a note or word wasted, everything has purpose and power and meaning. I prefer this performance to the album version, it's absolutely feral and gorgeous. I bitterly regret never seeing Cardiacs live. I'm a musician myself, and in the late '90s/early 2000s I played a show at The Square in Harlow the night after Cardiacs had played, on the tour for Guns I believe. I remember the SM telling me that audience numbers were barely in double figures...unthinkable.
Immense. Majestic. Amazing. I went to all 3 of those shows at the Garage . Each night was epic and this must have been the best 10 minutes out of the 6 hours or so of music they played over those nights...

I would be fine with Kavus doing vocals for it, even Jim could probably do it. Hell, I'd be happy if they just released the instrumentals. If nothing more ever happens with the "new" (I used quotation marks here since it's 12 or 13 years old at this point) then it's alright because Cardiacs already have a great catalog.
