In reality she couldn’t fire her for that. She wasn’t disobeying orders or putting patients at risk. She was stated her feelings to Bailey. Not to mention they would have to consult the head of the residency program. You can’t fire someone for being up set and speak g their mind. Just one question since I’m barely in S4 but know that Meredith owns the hospital later on. As far as I’m aware the living members the group own the hospital, and Meredith was a major shareholder. Her friends owned shares as well. And as far as ik Bailey had Christina’s seat on the board but Alex was the owner of he shares. Bailey kind of got her position on the board because they voted for her. So how was she able to fire Meredith? Because I doubt her friends would fire her.
@@xtxpxhx the SHARES were never given to Bailey, she just was appointed new member of the board!!! Board seats and share holding don't go together necessary!! Don't spread wrong info, honey, it's stupid!😂

And she had more shares than anyone other than Avery bc she also got Derick’s as well. Miranda never had shares…only a member on the board. Christina left hers go Alex and later Alex left his to jo, and they were sold again to Tom. But nah. Meredith is tech Miranda boss and she is the only one who has never thrown that up in her face, yet she still has a chip when it comes to Grey bc she is jealous.

People are saying Quadri spoke out of turn but let’s not forget that Christina said the exact same thing to Webber when he was unable to find a good cardio attending. If the quality of the general surgery program declined when Meredith left, Quadri had the right to speak up.
Sad thing is, this is actually the attitude of a lot of hospitals have. If the talent is too good and it makes the rest of the veteran employees look Bad, get rid of that good Talent in the hospital just so that the old codgers at the top Stay looking professional and good. Which translates to your parents and grandparents. Dying unnecessarily because the actual talent is no longer in the hospital.😢
Clearly, you've never worked in a hospital. If you had, you'd know, there are very few doctors that are even close to as great as the doctors you see on TV. You'd also know there are few hospitals that will pay the money it costs for the great ones.
But that's not why Meredith was fired. Haven't kept up with Grey's anatomy in a while but I believe in this particular incident, she was fired because she committed insurance fraud for a patient. So you're getting mad for totally illegitimate reasons, as Meredith wasn't fired because she was too good, she was fired because she did something illegal and unethical
For everybody thinking I am inaccurate in my statement. I am very grateful that you have ever lost loved ones to medical malpractice. My family is too poor to afford a lawsuit. Otherwise, there would be 3 hospitals out of business for the treatment of my family. One in Texas, 1 in Utah. In the other, Pennsylvania. Three different hospitals in three different States due to negligence I truly am grateful you have never experienced anything like this. If you had you would very much understand what I'm talking about. There is a very defined lack of care in a surprisingly vast number of medical hospitals Here in Amerika if you don't believe me. Look at how many big celebrities go to the UK for medical treatment. It's because they don't trust American doctors. It's not just the medical industry, it's the integrity of America itself very lacking.
To be honest, the whole show became a joke. I’m an original with Greys. The way they through in struggles like Izzy being taken seriously because she was a model, Bailey dealing with a skin head, O’Malley working with a transvestite and the gay patient of Chief’s. Everything early on touched on every day differences like races, sexual preference, religion, etc. remember the hmong woman who was not allowed to get surgery because her elder told her no because she was missing a soul and needed her shaman. This show touched base with so many societal differences without being extreme so everyone could enjoy and learn. Then it became far left in every aspect. The show destroyed so many characters for politics and it showed. Far right and far left in any shows, culture and life destroy everything. So they didn’t just destroy Bailey who was one of my favorite character but many characters. For the sake of…agendas.
@@bethannfeng5062stop after season 11 at the latest. It only goes to crap more and more after that. I liked Miranda, but how she treated a lot of people kind of annoyed me. She committed the same crime as Meredith, but got Meredith fired for the same crime. She turned back the clock to make sure this guy could have his insurance cover the surgery. Meredith used her daughters name to make sure a little girl could have insurance for her surgery. Miranda kept it a secret when she did it but as soon as Meredith did, the exact same thing, she got her fired when she could’ve kept it a secret. She threw fits when she didn’t get what she wanted like a seat on the medical board. As soon as she thought Alex was going to get it instead of her, she started complaining about it. Every time she was competitive with someone she threw a fit. She had some amazing moments, but she also had some low moments too and the lower moments stuck out to me more because of how frequent they were
I have a feeling that Bailey is just jealous of Meredith... I've read from comments that Bailey taught Meredith, that Meredith is where she is coz of Bailey. Meredith is where she is bcoz she's good with her job, Bailey just pushed her to do better.
I would have sent her home. Sleep a night over it. Ant give her the opportunity to apologize. The attending did wrong, but notting unforgivable. Just my opinion.
Agreed. I think they were both in the wrong and the resident needs to go cool off. And Miranda just fired her out of anger cause she didn’t Come to the program for her. As the chief she should’ve handled it better imo
She said clearly and over and over again that she was there for Meredith grey. Even turning a blind eye to her insubordination, she clearly wasnt there for herself but her hero, she got handed what she wanted
Especially compared to the other stuff that bailey has not only overlooked but done herself in the past. Like the constant hospital sex or illegal operations done.
Everyone’s talking about the fact that Miranda taught Meredith which is valid but the thing I thought of is like why are you trying to work alongside someone when you’re supposed to be saving lives and not choosing who to work with that whole rant was just shitting on other doctors bc they didn’t become as famous as Meredith which is kinda sad and disappointing to those doctors she’s supposed to be working with
That's definitely an illegal firing, you can't fire her for speaking, nothing she said effects her job or how she works, she just stated her truth, if this were real it would be a massive lawsuit.
I mean, you can say what you want, but it could also result in your termination due to insubordination. Tried that once with a manager when I worked at Wal-Mart. I got walked out.
Word alone won’t ever be enough to fire anyone. That being said, talking shit about your boss and others are almost always within a contract, code of conduct? You cannot talk bad about someone basically..
Technically in California employment is at will. Not sure about Washington, but in some cases that isn't illegal. Also, Bailey taught Meredith everything she knows. So, when she says she didn't go there for her, it was a bit moronic. 🤷🏻♀️
It's honestly so weird to me how much this show glorifies Meredith. Like for the first 10 seasons, it was Cristina being the top of their class and the best surgeon out of all of them. She even got cheated out of a harper-avery the same season Meredith did the 3D portal vein. But bc Cristina's not there anymore, everyone treats Mer like she's the best
Stop using work "position" for control. Your emotions. Separate work from your need to feel your need to be #1. She expressed her opinion. Dont be anul.
Perfect response to a self entitled individual. You want to complain and not focus on the priorities, which in this context is saving lives, then leave. If it's so bad, if the work environment makes you cry, then work somewhere else. Too many people are getting validation for their idiotic and emotional outbursts.
Agreed! Sucks that she got fired but it was deserved. When you're a resident you're literally at the bottom of the food chain. You're there to learn and be trained. She was rude, insulting and insubordinate. Like what in God's name possessed her to tell her attending and the chief of freaking surgery that she didn't come to that hospital for HER, is beyond me. That was dumb
@@notoyaarthur1990wait. Isn’t Grey the actual “talent” here? If they wanted to save lives they should suck their pride and keep the better people instead of firing them for being annoying.
Yeah, you're just talking bullshit. Bailey, Meredith, Alex and the others are doctors who are there to saves lives, Qadri and the other residents are there to LEARN, this is a TEACHING hospital, their duty is to learn, not yet to save lives. Your whole argument is idiotic.
I rescued a dog from a home that left her outside in a dirt pen 24/7, she has severe anxiety and attachment issues and I refuse to force her to stay outside ever again, outside is for fun times only and she sleeps in my room always
Has nothing to do with unions, code of conduct are almost always a part of a contract, and I’m pretty sure that this amount of trash talking about your boss and the bosses coworkers is breaking the code of conduct. General rule, don’t talk had about your boss when you are taking to them ^^
It’s funny that we are now in a time where we all know it’s a show, we all know it isn’t real, yet we still talk about it like it is. Watching so many people argue it’s hilarious 😂😂😂😂
TV producers tuned her rough and direct personality into her whole character. You can have a rough and hard to work with character, without turning them into a karen.
Bailey isn’t jealous. She invited a tool to help with fistulas and now she’s rich. Plus, Meredith and Christiana are her legacy. She’s not jealous. She’s proud.
The best measure of a true leader is not in how many you guided but by how far they surpass you due to your guidance. Bailey may have resented some of their choices, especially the personal ones, but never did she lose sight of the fact that they were out there saving lives that would have been lost otherwise.
Dr. Bailey tried to be nice. Truthfully, who taught Meredith Grey? And as that being your Superior, your boss, it was a courtesy she did not have to give you.
she says it like if she didn't have to study she would've played beer pong as well😂dear writers, muslims don't drink alcohol if they do the under islamic law they get flogged.
Meredith committed insurance fraud. There was a little girl who needed a life saving surgery but her insurance wouldn’t cover it. Meredith lot her youngest daughter’s name on the little girl’s chart so her insurance would cover the costs.
But that's not what she's saying. Qadri is saying that a huge part of the appeal of Grey Sloan was the chance to learn under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Meredith Grey. It's not about instant access; it's that learning from Meredith was an appealing draw for her and other residents. And that's a reasonable assumption to make. This is a teaching hospital; the surgeons that work there (such as Meredith) are also teachers who the residents learn from. So, when choosing a program, Qadri chose the one that would allow her to work with Meredith. Meredith's reputation was likely a huge draw for a lot of residents. But now, because Bailey fired her (which was justified, though hypocritical of her), that major draw is gone. To Qadri, it likely seems like false advertising: "Come work with the world-renowned Dr. Meredith Grey. Oh, wait, our no name chief just fired her. Sorry, but here are some other no-name surgeons you can learn from. None of them are anywhere near as famous as Dr. Grey, but shut up and be happy about it." One of the biggest draws of Grey Sloan is gone, and she's angry about it. Side Note: To stave off any comments, when I call Bailey a no-name chief, I mean in-universe. She hasn't been published or won any awards the way Meredith has. Frankly, while the audience knows that Bailey is an incredible surgeon on Meredith's level, most of the medical community would likely place Meredith leagues above her in terms of name recognition and talent.
Everyone was mad at Bailey for this but i honestly agree with this decision. Qadri was making shady comments this episode all throughout this whole episode.
Everyone loves taking Baileys side on this situation but not even five seasons before that she was administering altered HIV to children against parents wishes 😂😂 but that was okay
Baily has the biggest ego trip known to man. For one if we look at this she can’t fire her, Meredith owns the hospital and can fire her, bc not only does she have her shares she also got Derek’s as well. But to fire this girl was crappy bc I’m another few seasons baily gets mad at Meredith bc she wants to leave. And she wants to ride on the coattails of her name to get people there. She is just jealous. And she didn’t really teach her everything she knows. Everyone did. Bc they had to do things over baily and take things they found out to her. So I mean she didn’t teach her everything. I like baily but she is straight jealousy of Meredith. That’s it.
I would have fired her azz, too. She was out the door when she told Bailey they didn't come there for her. And then after talking smack to her boss, she acted surprised when she told her how they were going to fix her problem. #deuces
Students surpass teachers all the time. If you are a GOOD teacher. That is what you hope for. Also the character is a liability for her ego. Sued for unlawful termination.
I liked Qadri up until this point. They could’ve done so much more with her character but wrote her to end like this entitled, rude and bratty little resident kissing Meredith’s ass. Ugh.

@@LittleLondonCottagesumm, you missed Bailey is a shareholder, Chief, oh and a woman. You’re welcome. It was a tyraid. Not an opinion, which she sees she should have kept to herself. Loose lips sink ships.
The actress playing Bailey went through such an impressive range of motions in such a small clip.
I mean I'd come for Dr Avery....
Get her Bailey 💪🏾
She’s either brave or stupid yelling at Bailey like that 😮😮😮
She’s stupid, very very stupid. No one talks to Bailey like that
Seems like stupid. She seemed pretty surprised she got fired
Both
@@kimmiet.8962 I’ve been seeing your comments correcting these ridiculous opinions and I just wanted to say thank you! I’m not even in healthcare but I’m going crazy reading these borderline delusional comments!…
Not her upping Meredith in front of The Nazi 😭
That's what I was thinking
Perfect response. Go be with Merideth
I didn’t like Bailey in this season
I know it has her name in it, but god damn this show makes their entire world revolve around meredith and praise her constantly
That's where running your mouth gets you😅
Ehm Meredith grey did amazing things because she had amazing teachers. So why would you shout at her mentor? 😂 Learn from the same people and you'll be the next Meredith
In reality she couldn’t fire her for that. She wasn’t disobeying orders or putting patients at risk. She was stated her feelings to Bailey. Not to mention they would have to consult the head of the residency program. You can’t fire someone for being up set and speak g their mind. She wasn’t compromising patient care, really wasn’t even raising her voice much to Bailey, I hope she lawyered up and fought back
Just one question since I’m barely in S4 but know that Meredith owns the hospital later on.
She committed insurance fraud, so her license was suspended. Also Christina gifted her shares to Alex that later were given to Miranda
@@xtxpxhx the SHARES were never given to Bailey, she just was appointed new member of the board!!! Board seats and share holding don't go together necessary!! Don't spread wrong info, honey, it's stupid!😂
I mean it’s a show. But she would have never been able to fire her. She would have been suspended pending how the trial for her medical license came out. But her owning the hospital, once it was cleaned up she could have come back. That’s why she was asked back.she already knew. And she had more shares than anyone other than Avery bc she also got Derick’s as well. Miranda never had shares…only a member on the board. Christina left hers go Alex and later Alex left his to jo, and they were sold again to Tom. But nah. Meredith is tech Miranda boss and she is the only one who has never thrown that up in her face, yet she still has a chip when it comes to
Grey bc she is jealous.
@@courtneypartell2594 yeah, that’s why I hate Bailey. Since then I’ve watched up until the current season, and god I how much I hate her. She’s so annoying and arrogant.
@@pavelhristov361You need a life. As a health care worker, The Board Member can raise to get the shares revoked if something like this happened in real life. So, maybe you shouldn’t be stupid and speak out of turn. Her license could be revoked and a trial (that wouldn’t end like it did on the show, trust. )
@@RC-cc1xlI've spent 23 years working in hospitals. Op is right. Except they typically leave on their own accord due to the way they are treated.
Uh what???
Bailey became a joke. It was so sad to see the character development shatter.
That season viewers saw the ugly side of Bailey…
@brittanytrapani1837 I'd like to start watching Grey's Anatomy. Where should I stop in order to avoid the disappointment you site? Thanks 🙂
@@bethannfeng5062stop after season 11 at the latest. It only goes to crap more and more after that. I got so pissed about certain characters i started skipping whole scenes, even episodes where they where in because they botched their whole characters. Cant stand to watch one scene of kepner, Amalia, minick, Mama avery or Arizona after s11. Mind you I never liked Arizona to begin with. Just stop watching after s 11.
Now you and your hero have something in common....LOL 😂😂😂
Kadri was a good charecter and then they ruined it, they made the new Asians I tersn rude and obnoxious it was irritating you were glad they got kicked off the show cuz they wrote the charecters so bad
She undermined the talent of Baily,Corassic, karev AND Avery she well deserved being fired. They are all good doctors
Love Bailey ❤❤❤ tough love and truth all the way. You are a grown ass person life's not fair 😂😂
You're fired 👋 👋 👋 👋 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
She disrespected all those doctors and Bailey herself! Was she surprised she was fired?
Love Bailey. Get that attitude out of here.
She had some amazing moments, but she also had some low moments too and the lower moments stuck out to me more because of how frequent they were
Finally someone said it.
Yes bailey sucks
Used to like Bailey is appropriate. She became bitter and not like able as the seasons have progressed.
@@lkav1313 I didn’t like her from the start which is also appropriate lol
@@totallytorivideosI think she fired her because she was being extremely unprofessional and ungrateful
She said clearly and over and over again that she was there for Meredith grey. Even turning a blind eye to her insubordination, she clearly wasnt there for herself but her hero, she got handed what she wanted
❤❤❤AGREEEEE
Especially compared to the other stuff that bailey has not only overlooked but done herself in the past. Like the constant hospital sex or illegal operations done.
Everyone’s talking about the fact that Miranda taught Meredith which is valid but the thing I thought of is like why are you trying to work alongside someone when you’re supposed to be saving lives and not choosing who to work with that whole rant was just shitting on other doctors bc they didn’t become as famous as Meredith which is kinda sad and disappointing to those doctors she’s supposed to be working with
I liked Bailey on this one😊
Who TF do you think TAUGHT Meredith?!?
The audacity.
That's definitely an illegal firing, you can't fire her for speaking, nothing she said effects her job or how she works, she just stated her truth, if this were real it would be a massive lawsuit.
Depends on what is in her contract.
Most states can fire you for no reason.
What's in her contract.
Who knows
Technically in California employment is at will. Not sure about Washington, but in some cases that isn't illegal. Also, Bailey taught Meredith everything she knows. So, when she says she didn't go there for her, it was a bit moronic. 🤷🏻♀️
That feels like a giant HR mess
i’m sorry, i’m only on season 2… FIRED?!? MEREDITH GETS FIRED?!?!?!
Firing her was petty af
It's funny because who does she think taught Meredith Grey
@@notoyaarthur1990wait. Isn’t Grey the actual “talent” here? If they wanted to save lives they should suck their pride and keep the better people instead of firing them for being annoying.
Yeah, you're just talking bullshit.
Bailey, Meredith, Alex and the others are doctors who are there to saves lives, Qadri and the other residents are there to LEARN, this is a TEACHING hospital, their duty is to learn, not yet to save lives.
Your whole argument is idiotic.
It’s a TV show you guys it’s just a TV show it’s not real the people aren’t real none of it’s real
Clearly the entire show morphed into a whole different story and character line by season 16. Gray was the low achiever in the first few seasons.
Bailey was mad when she said she did not come there for her 😂😂
Bailey being an absolute utter a** 😂😂😂
God, Chandra is soooo good!!! Genius!
Love me some Dr. Bailey.
I rescued a dog from a home that left her outside in a dirt pen 24/7, she has severe anxiety and attachment issues and I refuse to force her to stay outside ever again, outside is for fun times only and she sleeps in my room always
Wheres the correlation

Your answer has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the subject but I heartily approve this message. 👍 Rescues are the best pets!

This is why everyone, including residents need a union.
Has nothing to do with unions, code of conduct are almost always a part of a contract, and I’m pretty sure that this amount of trash talking about your boss and the bosses coworkers is breaking the code of conduct. General rule, don’t talk had about your boss when you are taking to them ^^
😂 get her
This show is hilarious sometimes. A surgery resident would never speak this way everrrrrr
It’s funny that we are now in a time where we all know it’s a show, we all know it isn’t real, yet we still talk about it like it is. Watching so many people argue it’s hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Bailey’s character aged so bad, she always resented Meredith and Cristina for achieving more than her and being better
TV producers tuned her rough and direct personality into her whole character. You can have a rough and hard to work with character, without turning them into a karen.
She never resented them. She's proud of shaping them. Did you even watch the show?
Bailey isn’t jealous. She invited a tool to help with fistulas and now she’s rich. Plus, Meredith and Christiana are her legacy. She’s not jealous. She’s proud.
I agree that she’s jealous of their surgical success. They progressed further than her.
The best measure of a true leader is not in how many you guided but by how far they surpass you due to your guidance.
Bailey may have resented some of their choices, especially the personal ones, but never did she lose sight of the fact that they were out there saving lives that would have been lost otherwise.
I loved Bailey ❤
Bailey don't play love her!!!
Can you fire a resident this way?
no
Just work
She just yelled at her boss.. Of course she's fired
Dr. Bailey tried to be nice. Truthfully, who taught Meredith Grey? And as that being your Superior, your boss, it was a courtesy she did not have to give you.
Both Quadre and Bailey are acting childish and entitled.
I don't think she should've left the show
Wrongful termination 😮
she says it like if she didn't have to study she would've played beer pong as well😂dear writers, muslims don't drink alcohol if they do the under islamic law they get flogged.
Why did she fire Meredith? I've only been watching this show through UA-cam shorts😁
Meredith committed insurance fraud. There was a little girl who needed a life saving surgery but her insurance wouldn’t cover it. Meredith lot her youngest daughter’s name on the little girl’s chart so her insurance would cover the costs.
@lynne709 oh, okay thank you 😊
Girl you don't even know how Bailey is the real MVP!!😂😂😂 This is what blown opportunities look like!!!😂😂😂
Coming off as entitled Ms. She may get in the program but that does not mean instant access to your hero doctor or any surgery you are interested in.
Love her 😂
Everyone loves taking Baileys side on this situation but not even five seasons before that she was administering altered HIV to children against parents wishes 😂😂 but that was okay
She something else
Chloe Frazer was a doc?
Is that bag on her hair supposed to be scarf for hijab? I'm a muslim and we don't put pillow bags on our heads
That’s it.
When keeping it real goes wrong
I would have fired her azz, too. She was out the door when she told Bailey they didn't come there for her. And then after talking smack to her boss, she acted surprised when she told her how they were going to fix her problem. #deuces
It’s as if she thinks Mer is the only Dr
Students surpass teachers all the time. If you are a GOOD teacher. That is what you hope for. Also the character is a liability for her ego. Sued for unlawful termination.
WHAT EPISODE
I liked Qadri up until this point. They could’ve done so much more with her character but wrote her to end like this entitled, rude and bratty little resident kissing Meredith’s ass. Ugh.
I mean you shouldn't demand that from your boss or talk to them that way
Ironically... I wonder how many doctors saw this show as inspiration to be doctors
Bailey has a lot of ups and downs in every season, but it’s safe to say that this was her worst season
Did she come here to be a doctor or just fangirl? Lol 🤨🧐
Uhm… she just said she worked hard to match there and she just wastes it away by being emotional. 😒
Obviously she doesn't know Bailey loves Meredith Grey
Never speak back to your attending… it does not matter how smart you are..
She let her emotions get the best of her and it cost her a job. 🤦🏽
