You probably dont give a shit but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
Dr. Max, great points on all levels, especially the huge point to not lie or make up an answer to something you don't know or have not done. Far too many of us in the medical field during our training years are almost 'bullied' into never asking for help. A fatal mistake on too many levels and as I always told my students, "The truth only hurts for 2 minutes...(mostly).
I found this video particularly insightful. Considering what path I chose as an actor, those two factors that you stressed, being motivated and well organized have been key in getting what I've achieved in the industry, meaning consistent work. I'm not an A-lister, not do I strive for that, just to do the best work possible given whatever role offered, and those two factors are right at the top. You'll get out of it what you put into it. I guess you could say that about any venture, be it vocation or avocation. Thanks, Doctor.
Gosh you are helping so many with great advice! Love you add so much humor. Thanks for your videos. You have your act together. Love how you stress being organized Yes the pt needs a translator if they don't speak English thats awesome to stress that! Thank you.
@@MaxFeinsteinMD When I got out of pa school I had very rough time with reading ekg’s. I would constantly call the on call cardiologist and second guess myself. After approximately 6 months working in the emergency department i was much more familiar with them and more confident. I purchased a nice Christmas gift that year for the cardiologist that I would pester the most. Take care and please stay safe and healthy.
Glad you enjoyed, and thank you for the feedback! I think a clerkship-related video would be fun to make and hopefully helpful, so it's something I'll do a little later on!

Terrible badly written powerpoints.Interactive studying,Blackboard assignment submissions have to be done correctly no second chances blowing a quizz from forgotten algebra,Biology phylum changes each year. The text pubishers have to make their billions. My free spell checker goes to town on badly written powerpoints word documents from the professors. When marticulated in School the school owns the student .One missed lecture or assignment can cause a low grade which cannot be made up.In the University world you have complete freedom to do only what the professor wants on a task not to deviate at all.
Mine was less than yours, I wouldn’t worry about it. 3.8 is a fantastic GPA. I made a video about becoming an anesthesiologist in which I offer some suggestions about what to study in college, hope that’s helpful.
I’m gonna start my internship this August however I’m gonna work for a full year for free cus the rules here if you’re not a local you don’t get paid. That’s smth really not motivating unfortunately.
i'm not a med student, but after hearing your day to day life. i almost wish i was. writing notes for 30 patients??????? Wow. Be thankful you don't suffer from inflammatory bowel disease or have peanut/wheat/nut allergy. That combination REALLY is fatiguing.
Yes sometimes as an intern I rotated on services where I had to write lots of notes and look after a lot of patients at once! Going thru med school has made me very grateful for my health. IBD sounds really tough, I remember thinking that as I learned more about it.
Let me know if there are specific rotations during MS3, MS4, or intern year you'd like advice on!
Surgery rotation!
SICU, especially with presenting via systems based (objective data systems based) and how to interpret data especially for complicated patients
@@lisacoleman7275 I second this one

Double check
Yes, exactly.
Internship is like driving after getting the license : you learn.
So is practicing law. We lucky ones find a mentor (attending) who gets us through to where we can do it ourselves competently and safely.
LOL. Can you manage the floor patients and also see new consults and also scrub in and retract for 8 hours?
So many more typical lines I could have included in that part 😂
Boy, do I relate with the first few consults 😂😂😂, panicked and just parroting information then more panic when they asked for clarification 😂.
I lost it at “this patients on a ventilator so were gonna need you to stand there for 3 hrs “ T . T
thanks dude! loved it!
This is awesome. You saved me!!
I constantly get negative evaluations in my intern year. please help me. I'm losing my self-confidence!

Should I still consider becoming an anesthesiologist with a 3.8 gpa ? What are some tips going into a university ?

You're going to be responsible for a ton of people going into anesthesiology.
Can you bring in a CRNA and tell us the differences in scope of practice between the physican and CRNA?
What do you do about body fluids?
