    You're a Fantastic demonstrator! Thank you so much for showing how to make this particular box card because it's so intricate (& gives that great element of surprise in a pop-up card), but you've made it very clear to understand while editing out all the unnecessary time consuming stuff. I'm excited about this because I now know what I'm going to make my friend for his birthday in Feb. & I can't wait to surprise him. I'm looking forward to more videos from you. Thank you so much again!! :D

    Wow! Did this have a LOT of steps. I was able to follow along with you - and wrote everything down so I'd remember (even drew rough pictures too to help me visualize). :-) You did a tremendous job of making an awesome project look easy. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I learned a lot and enjoyed your step-by-step instructions. Again, Thanks a box-full!

    Absolutely love this idea but for multiple card making I wonder if there is a way of making something that springs out of the box that isn’t quite so lengthy to produce ?? I think I need to play a little but thankyou so much for your great ideas again 😘❤️ xx

    • @MixedUpCraft
      @MixedUpCraft  6 років тому

      Hi Gail, these aren't easy to do and due to the style, there is a lot involved when making them. I've taken shop bought ones apart before and the construction is simple, but they are machine made and I can't seem to find a simpler way to make this pop-up mechanism. I'm sure something will come to me one day :)

    Well done Sam. I have done one in June for my grandson's birthday but yours is much sturdier than mine. Which cardstock did you use, may be it is the reason why mine look flimsy compare to yours

    I made one of these popping boxes as well as the matching tray for it and was pleased with how it turned out. However, after the cube had popped up about three times, the rubber band broke so it was then useless. It was disappointing after all the work that went into it.

    ok round 2 - I remade the box and it all came together but the final 1/4 tab did not hold - I used double sided score tape like your but it simply ripped apart - I have tried gluing a think strip over the torn away piece and have it sitting under a heavy weight to dry.

  • @mukwah1111
    @mukwah1111 6 років тому

    Hi again. 3rd time making this box - I used white construction cardstock this time. My basic cardstock just wasn't up to the job. I allowed 1/2 tabs instead of 1/4" for more strength. Question? What is the purpose of the 2nd elastic band? As per your instructions we fold the project over and just slip 1 elastic band onto the other side? I don't understand the purpose for the 2nd elastic? Please reply I want to make more of these boxes. Many thanks

    • @MixedUpCraft
      @MixedUpCraft  6 років тому

      Hi, where do I say you need 2 elastic bands? I've just watched the tutorial and I only use 1

    • @mukwah1111
      @mukwah1111 6 років тому

      My apologies - I have no idea why I thought there were 2 elastic bands? OY The construction card box did turn out better and stronger but I believe my elastic band was older and had too much give even though it was the right size. My final box doesn't pop much and doesn't meet up well at the ends without fiddling with it. Undaunted I am going to keep trying until I get it right. Many thanks

    • @MixedUpCraft
      @MixedUpCraft  6 років тому

      This is a more challenging tutorial because everyone will have different elastic bands, different weight cardstock etc. It does work tho, and it's very satisfying when it does. :)

    Correct verb tense please: " I did." is correct, "I done." is incorrect. Who taught you basic English? "I have done." is correct. Maybe I didn't hear the contraction, "I've." Otherwise, well done directions.
