Just found your poppin box. Oh my word, this is most delightful!! 😃
Sam although it's 2022 I love this popping box. Thank you so much
You are such an INCREDIBLE teacher! I'm going back and rewatching some of your videos and I'm just as amazed as I was the first time around. Thank you for sharing your gift with us! 😉
Wow !! What a difficult looking project that you made so simple !!! Nice clear and concise directions.. It's a little involved but you made the directions very simple.... great job !!! Thank you for the tutorial !!!
Love these boxes! I follow Jan Brown too and I made a poppin box for my son's birthday. He's 30, but he loved it!
Jan Brown is a wonderful card maker. It doesn't matter how old you are, fun cards are appreciated by all ages. x
You're a Fantastic demonstrator! Thank you so much for showing how to make this particular box card because it's so intricate (& gives that great element of surprise in a pop-up card), but you've made it very clear to understand while editing out all the unnecessary time consuming stuff. I'm excited about this because I now know what I'm going to make my friend for his birthday in Feb. & I can't wait to surprise him. I'm looking forward to more videos from you. Thank you so much again!! :D
Hello, thank you for taking the time to write this lovely message. I'm so pleased you found it easy to follow, I try to make my tutorials fun, clear and as easy as possible. x
Never seen this before. I'm just taking a look atm at some of your older makes. I can see a little girl liking this as a 2nd birthday card (June). No real reason to keep just for Christmas x
É estamos sempre a necessitar de rever os seus projetos,😊. Obrigada
Wow! Did this have a LOT of steps. I was able to follow along with you - and wrote everything down so I'd remember (even drew rough pictures too to help me visualize). :-) You did a tremendous job of making an awesome project look easy. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I learned a lot and enjoyed your step-by-step instructions. Again, Thanks a box-full!
Hi Beth, I loved reading your message, so pleased you could follow along well and you had success making this, its such a fun project and card to make x
The like button should be a love button. This is fabulous. Love love this. Just found your channel.
Hi Linda, that's very sweet of you, thank you. I hope you enjoy my channel, I try to share a mix of tutorials for beginners and advanced paper crafter's and share, 3D projects, card making projects and tips and tricks. x
This is really a unique project. I haven't seen this yet and anxious to give it a try. Another amazing idea, thanks
Thank you Doreen, there are others on UA-cam, not many mind and I've put my spin on it. Hope you enjoy making it x
Omg, this is the cutest box, that I have ever seen. Would give this a try after the holidays..
Must get a scoring board. You make it look so easy. I've subscribed!
Thanks for this video! I was having such a hard time with the other designs. This one looks so much more doable!
Hey Jean, some videos of this style are quite confusing, I'm hoping that my mix of a view different videos makes it more easier for others to make. Hope this one works for you x
Oh mam supr i made this after seeying this video 19 times !. It is also perfect as you. Thank you so much for this great idea
Thank you for explaining this project so well and very clearly.

Hi Sam, I just love your tutorial!!! Can you tell me what size rubber band did you used on this box?
Love this lovely fun project . Been following all your wonderful creations and really enjoy watching you . Your very talented samantha. Can't wait to give this a try . 😀
Thank you xoxo
Astonishing love this a gift on its own. Loving your tutorials thank you for sharing. 🤗
Your welcome Brenda glad you like them x
Oh Sam, I have just made your pop up box it was brilliant until my laggy band broke, serves me right for using old stuff, but I will certainly do another when I get new bands. love your ideas and easy to follow tutorials.🙂
Oh no, how frustrating, I hate it when stuff like that happens, right at the end of a project usually! thanks Steven, glad your enjoying my channel :)
Wonderful video. You make it all so nice and concise and clean. You are ready with your materials and don't waste time. What a clever idea. Thank you so much.
Thank you Laurie, glad you enjoyed it :)
Wonderful tutorial. So clear and precise. What a treat, Thanks
Thank you, your very welcome x
WOW what a fabulous and clever card - I plan to make 2 for my grandsons for Xmas. Thanks a bundle!
I am super late to the party, but this poppin card is awesome. I have already completed 1 to check my elastic bands hold up. They are all good. Lots more to make!
Looks tricky but worth all the effort 😉 Think I may try this for special people Christmas cards. Thank you 👏👏👏
Definitely a card for that special person, glad you like it x
THIS is my new Halloween card for 2017 ! How fun ! I'm going to put BOO! across the top of the pop up (of course !) THANK YOU for such innovative and inspirational projects !
Patricia that is a wonderful idea which I may have to pinch from you. Your very kind, glad you enjoyed it x
Sam, for what I've already "pinched" from your videos, you may CERTAINLY use that idea ! LOL !!!
Absolutely love this idea but for multiple card making I wonder if there is a way of making something that springs out of the box that isn’t quite so lengthy to produce ?? I think I need to play a little but thankyou so much for your great ideas again 😘❤️ xx
Hi Gail, these aren't easy to do and due to the style, there is a lot involved when making them. I've taken shop bought ones apart before and the construction is simple, but they are machine made and I can't seem to find a simpler way to make this pop-up mechanism. I'm sure something will come to me one day :)
I love your cards! I was wondering if you could use a belly band on these instead of the box. I think these would make a unique graduation announcement, but would need a way to mail them.
Hi Geneva, I think a belly band would work brilliantly and would make it easy to post. x
Well done Sam. I have done one in June for my grandson's birthday but yours is much sturdier than mine. Which cardstock did you use, may be it is the reason why mine look flimsy compare to yours
Thanks Lilette. I used my 280gsm Kraft Card and 260gsm coloured card.
😃🥰 Oh my Stars 🌟😮
I love it 👍😇🌷
Great card! Deffo got to make a few. Could you tell me is the name of your score board? Thanks
So cute and very unique. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome, thanks Teresa x
I made one of these popping boxes as well as the matching tray for it and was pleased with how it turned out. However, after the cube had popped up about three times, the rubber band broke so it was then useless. It was disappointing after all the work that went into it.
I've seen a few videos and I like yours the best. I will be attempting to make this card for Xmas 2018.
Thank you.
Thank you, that's kind of you to say :)
very clever. love them.
Thanks Sally x
Love this one too! Thank you!
Glad you like it x
Was the rubber band a particular size? I made three of these and the box's started out springy but then lost there bounce. It was very deflating experience..lol
Love It !!!!! Great Job !!
Thank you Linda x
I love this what size is the elastic band approximately??
Hi Chris, Im sorry but it's been so long since i did this. Have a play around with different sizes, and tie a knot in the band if you need to make it smaller.
Love this! So excited to make one 🤓😁😊
What base card are you using for this? Is it just cardstock or are you going with the 300 gsm?
Love this! Thanks so much for this genius project! :)
Thank you Susan, glad you like it x
ok round 2 - I remade the box and it all came together but the final 1/4 tab did not hold - I used double sided score tape like your but it simply ripped apart - I have tried gluing a think strip over the torn away piece and have it sitting under a heavy weight to dry.
Hi again. 3rd time making this box - I used white construction cardstock this time. My basic cardstock just wasn't up to the job. I allowed 1/2 tabs instead of 1/4" for more strength. Question? What is the purpose of the 2nd elastic band? As per your instructions we fold the project over and just slip 1 elastic band onto the other side? I don't understand the purpose for the 2nd elastic? Please reply I want to make more of these boxes. Many thanks
Hi, where do I say you need 2 elastic bands? I've just watched the tutorial and I only use 1
My apologies - I have no idea why I thought there were 2 elastic bands? OY The construction card box did turn out better and stronger but I believe my elastic band was older and had too much give even though it was the right size. My final box doesn't pop much and doesn't meet up well at the ends without fiddling with it. Undaunted I am going to keep trying until I get it right. Many thanks
This is a more challenging tutorial because everyone will have different elastic bands, different weight cardstock etc. It does work tho, and it's very satisfying when it does. :)
Hi, ohhhh this is soooooo nice. Love it.👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you xx
Brilliant
Fantastic tutorial thank you!
Your welcome Wendy x

Dear Lady! I can't access you directions for this Christmas Poppin Box Card! Could you send it to me? I think it's fabulous, and want to give this a go! But can't do it without your directions from your blog! Thank you so much!
Hello, Elizabeth I've attached the blog with the written measurements in the description box below the video. Hope it helps. Sam
Wow!!!
Thank you x
Ohh so lovely
Oh my goodness. I spent all day making this box - it didn't work out well at all - everything was off in terms of fit. I am going to try again.
Keep trying, it's been very popular and I've been sent lots of photos of peoples versions. Have you joined my Mixed Up Crafters FB page? you have to answers a couple questions to join but then can share any projects you make inspired by my tutorials. This project has been shared a lot and some other ladies have had queries with it which may help you. :)

Thank you x
This is THE one!!! Sam. in going to make my 2 sisters one. I just hope I don't give them a heart attack, 😂😂😂. This will be their funny one and then I'm going to make them the Bookatrix card also. Thanks Sam for being a great teacher!!!
Sounds wonderful, they will love them both :)
Correct verb tense please: " I did." is correct, "I done." is incorrect. Who taught you basic English? "I have done." is correct. Maybe I didn't hear the contraction, "I've." Otherwise, well done directions.
