Lobster Mushroom Hunting EP.11 (Good Karma)

I had to go down the mountain to get some service for a call. I came back up the mountain and spotted some guys trying to change a flat tire. I stopped and helped them. I had s heavy duty jack that made the job very easy. I then picked up a deflated ballon in the forest as to give Mother Nature a hand to clean up our forests. I ended up using the ballon, because i picked too many lobster mushrooms. Final part.

i just moved to Oregon and finding mushrooms is not too much fun but picking them is. A lot of exhausting foraging before striking and the competition is fierce. mapping is essential and returning pays off but going places where no men go is the key for me.The frustrating part is that environment is key and yet 200 yards away and there is absolutely nothing.I am learning still. YW.When you start looking in the beginning, it is frustrating. I remember the hardship during when I first started. Many days of skunking out. 😔 I actually love scouting now, especially when you find untouched grounds and finding lots of mushrooms there. You feel a sense of accomplishment. Yes, lots of fun to pick them, even better when no one is there to compete against. 😃 I am over with competing now. I just want to have fun doing what I love to do, that is, picking and teaching what I know.

I never went down to pick in Ontario, Oregon for Lobster Mushrooms. I really don't know. You can pick spring King Bolete and morels in Baker.
