Best trance CD EVER still sounds so good in 2022
I was brought this cd by a really good friend but he died two years later. It's funny that this cd can bring me to tears and smiles as well.

On the original release track 10 on CD 1 was mistitled "From One To Another" which was corrected for the second print in 2006....... DT8 made some big clunky mistakes while mixing this, especially CD 2 ... but it was the last GOOD Euphoria album......

Brilliant album, some of the progressive trance is lovely, and the deep breakdowns verging on profound. I remember listening to this loads when it came out, whatever happened to Darren Tate?

Beyond Euphoria is not even close to the first 4 Euphoria albums.Which are the best in the serie.Including the Ibiza Euphoria who is a classic.The 1998-2001 era of trance was just better.These years were when trance peaked.2002 and 2003 still had good trance.2004 also to some degree.But, 2005 is when trance started to lose its steam.The late 90s trance sound was just better.
None of the songs on this album is memorable.Unlike the first 4 Euphoria albums who are packed with memorable classic songs.Absolute Euphoria was the last descent album in the serie.All the other euphoria album went down after that.
Beyond Euphoria is very average.
I agree with the majority of what you say, I noticed the Trance 'sound' changing after 2002 with sadly more bass and less artistry being utilised, and it was sad to watch it happening in real time, it took some getting used to and the better tracks were getting harder to find. After 2005 and when AvB took over it just became extremely hard to find anything remotely different and memorable but still I try because it's still the best genre imo, my 'favourites' on my channel here attempt to justify that search for rare beauties without saturating the list with all the old skool favs that can be found on any youtube list, feel free to see if you agree.
Beyond Euphoria isn't bad imo, there are some tracks here that are worthy of a repeat listen
I respect your Opinion, but respectfully disagree. Have always loved this mix better than some of the others. But there are some nostalgic reasons behind that as well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, art is up for interpretation. Just sayin :
@@threeptt I agree to a large extent - with trance being such a global form of music even now there are literally 10's of thousands of tunes being produced - from home studio stuff all the way to the state of the art big name studio tracks. There are still a load of good tunes you just have to wade through a lot of mediocre stuff to get them. There's some good uploaders of regular mixes on here who still come up with some tucked away in their uploads. The "UK hard trance" series usually has some good ones.
However 1996-2001 was the very pinnacle to me. There were debates in the 90s about whether you could have a male trance vocal I'm firmly still of the majority opinion back then that with very few exceptions it has to be a female singer.
To me things that started to chip away at the perfection of the scene were the preponderance of over compressed technically perfect productions but with no imagination and the use for an awful period from late in the 2000's for a few years of the awful rock type male vocal - listening to Tiesto's show a few years ago it seemed to be full of the rubbish. I got the feeling those tunes were only ever entertained by Americans.
Trance was the music I'd waited for all my life and so I'll always stick with it as outside classical music nothing else comes close. Raving to some classic trance or hard trance in a decent club in the late 1990s on a mitsubishi was as good as it gets. But listening to it now in the comfort of my house can bring the memories back pretty well even now.
@@andypandy4078 Mate, you don't know how many key phrases matched my own strong opinions in that reply to me, uncanny ! Specifically:
must be female vocals, male vocals just don't work, "Trance was the music I'd waited for all my life", I've used that phrase myself many times. "technically perfect productions but with no imagination", my sentiments exactly especially missing the imagination that was so apparent in late 90's mixes.
rob shelley that’s great to hear that there’s a few (hopefully many) of us out here. Yes I’m the trance reviews in DJ magazine back in the late 90s there was this general opinion that like you say the male vocal very rarely if ever does it. I’ve noticed that in the last few years (maybe as a lot of the original ravers have started going back to it with maybe more time in their lives etc that the interest in classic trance has gone through the roof. And these 90s rave full of the 40 and 50 something ravers from back in the day have gone from strength to strength. All good stuff.
