Frank Sinclair is still playing. I know because I watch him week in week out playing for Huddersfield Town. Doesn't score own goals (touch wood), but does get sent off in stupid ways every now and then.
I was in the crowd that day for the Boro game, we won 1-0 and eventually stayed up!! I think Leicester went down that year, so it was actually a crucial win 👍
Wonderful review on Frank, really. Hilarious. I still think you can't even enter a football pitch when you think you can hit a ball DIRECTLY to your own goal and not the opposite way round. Watch out: I'm not talking about chance situations where you're just trying to prevent the ball from getting in your own goal but you manage to do worse... nope... I'm talking about being 90 minutes in the game and head-kicking STRAIGHT to your own goal! Even if the goalie had remained stuck on the line he'd have NEVER had the chance to catch that one! Let alone a SHOT (it wasn't a back pass, come on... it was hit very badly and tough) If you think you can treat a ball like that, there's something absolutely wrong about your playing. Moreover, you made it into scoring the same absurd own goal in two consecutive matches. Well, game over to me, lad, yer fired...
Mysteries of British football... and British people psyche!!! I'm from Scotland, and I can tell you we sometimes get somehow sympathetic to such players, I'm not saying we all do, but there's quite a tendency towards this.
