I loved Lesley Ann Warren in the movie and I equally love Rachel York in the Broadway show. I don't get the need to hate on one to elevate the other. Both are wonderful!
I am so HAPPY I saw the movie when in frist came out and 15 more times and the play in MPLS. and in NEW YORK and the ladys bring JOY JOY JOY every Time.I must say. thanks much.
Wonderful acting ^^ I absolutely hate her character in this movie. She played it perfectly and you can certainly tell she puts....everything into her performance.
@dougbowser yes it does in my opinion i dont know if this is from the movie but wat i do know is tht she's an amazing performer and either way even if they do do tht then they still hav to b actually performing to make the perfect number. just my opinion though.
if one sees leslie ann warren doing the original movie version before or after this video, it will be obvious this woman is no where near the talent. warren nailed the performance and was nominated for an academy award for her performance. it was, for me, THE highlight in a many highlighted movie musical, not withstanding preston's version of "the shady dame from seville".
@@richardmayora1289Rachel is copying a character Leslie Ann Warren created with Blake Edwards. Yours is the stupidest comment on UA-cam. It makes zero sense. Rachel is a very pale imitation of the original.
Leslie's version is amazing but Rachel has a unique voice. Her vocal range and singing style is amazing and she is a great actress. I'd prefer her instead of Leslie.
Leslie Ann Warren is the only person that can do this role. Rachel York isn't convincing. You have to look the part to do the role and Rachel isn't sexy.
York received some of the best reviews of the year in this role and Warren was so forced. I would guess you didn't see the stage show or had too many drinks before the curtain went up.
Exactly. Rachel York live Broadway. There's a difference in required skills. LOVE YOU RACHEL!

check out the 3rd most highest ranked YT version of this!
Hey I recognized Rachel from the Lucy movie. She is adorable!
Aha, love the little parody of Le Jazz Hot and the end...
that was amazing!!!

FAVOLOSAAAA!!!!!!!
@wntoply6 Leslie Ann Warren, for me, is the only person for this role.
fantastica.

The best Norma ever
I think how it was done for the movie was better. Hilarious and sticks in your head. It's like they tried to hard for stage.

@srsocfn I know it's Rachel York. What I meant was that she wasn't as good as Leslie Ann Warren. She's no Leslie Ann Warren.
Nonsense. Warren was soooo forced.
@hjb103055 no...she is Rachel York...
She's no Leslie Ann Warren.
@rlee1976 shes putting nasality into her voice and i think she is a soprano and shes mixing and in her head voice not belting lol!

Stupidest comment I have ever read on You Tube. Rachel York was MAGNIFICENT and Lesley Ann Warren was SOOOOOO forced. Still fun but VERY obvious.

Yay! It's a man! ;O)
Rachel overshadows Leslie Ann Warren, I'd have to say.
Yo're right. Dear Leslie would kill to be this good!
@bozpity no it isnt but tht performance isnt for younger veiwers who have dirty minds!
