There's a woman that I read about about many years ago who woke up in the middle of the night and saw one of the scariest things imaginable, a strange man at the foot of her bed. The next thing she sees is her cat launching itself off of the bed and then landing on the guys face, claws and teeth ready to rumble. The cops found him when he sought medical care for his badly injured face.
And that's how cats can protect you!

      AMAZING 👏
Yea I feel she was just joking about it but I don't like when ppl make cats out to be pets that don't care about you or would help. Cats and dogs are different but they both do care and would protect us in their own way or show that care differently. Cats just love their space and have their lil boundaries, doesn't mean they're not lovable.

@@karlagonzalvez4703 "Dog" people don't understand how cats operate. My cats (all of them, but not all of them at the same time usually) will come to wherever I am and look all bothered, when someone comes into our yard or approaches the front door. They always let me know something is up. Of course, they do similar actions when a stray dog or another cat come into our yard too. But it's always worth checking out. Cats are as protective as their usually small size permits them to be. I would love a cheetah or two. "Beware the Cat" on the gate 😁😁

The last story gave me chills, when the ex said "we were supposed to get back together" I thought he planned to kill her and himself, so creepy and I'm glad she didn't meet up with him. I have a gut feeling story myself, it's not me but my grandma's. My friends invited me to go see a movie and I was given permission originally and then my grandma was acting weird asking me for my friend's number just in case and then she flat out said no you're not going, I was pissed off because she wouldn't tell me why. I later find out that one of my friends got into a small accident that night, luckily no one was hurt. When I told my grandma, she told me she knew something was off but didn't know what to tell me. I'll never question her reasonings again.

I just recently had one!! It involves my cat, Shelby.
⚠️ FAIR WARNING!! THIS DOES INVOLVE THE MENTION OF BLOOD ⚠️
The other night, I noticed blood spots all over the ground. My dad noticed a blood spot, too (he told me I believe the next day). One look at her was all it took for me to notice that something felt off. I just couldn't pinpoint what. That's also when I noticed that she was having a hard time jumping off of my bed.
The next day, I told my parents what's going on. My dad said he'll see when he can get off so we can take her to the vet. Not long after, I noticed more symptoms. One of them being of her excessively licking herself. She also didn't have her usual burst of energy. She really wasn't acting like herself. Seeing her not feeling so good made me really worried for her.
My dad and I took her to the vet the next day. Turns out she had a ruptured abscess!! The vet gave her an antibiotic injection to help prevent any infection. The vet then prescribed some pain medication and some ointment for her abscess. Her bloodwork showed that she may be dealing with borderline hyperthyroidism, so we'll have to get that rechecked in a couple of months. She'll be fine.
I'm just glad we caught that, knowing that it was that was the root cause of her not feeling too good. Imagine the outcome if we didn't catch it.

Or from the Southern United States. Sometimes word choice comes down to how someone has been raised. Not everything has a more complex reason, sometimes it's just simple force of habit.

Yes ma’am is a way of showing respect in the south so no it ain’t mommy issues my dudes. Lemme guess breathing is mommy issues as well😂. Bruv I address any adult that’s older than me by 20-60 years as yes ma’am and yes sir at my job. as I was raised to not address any adult by their first name.

I get people are like that in the south, it's a joke since people with Mommy issues would say something like that lol (this is coming from a neurodivergent person with Mommy issues)

@@outerspaceproduction Pretty safe bet that the guy mentioned in the above story (who ended up being a serial rapist) felt his most powerful when terrifying women. So I'd have to agree. Has issues around relating to women in a healthy fashion.

Have you ever seen a cat when someone they don’t know approaches their space? I learned the hard with my sister's cat😂, I had scratches on my hands, nose, and neck. Ever since then, my sister has kept the cat post near the door.

My father said the same thing as the person in the second story. That apparently you just didn't lock your doors back then when he grew up in the 70s/80s which is crazy to me. But I can definitely relate to that "being watched" feeling. I sometimes go outside to throw the trash or come home late from the grocery store, and it's dead quiet while the neighbors' lights are off, and it's so dark and unsettling. But that last story just reminded me of something that happened to my sister. It was about 7 years ago, her old friend from high school found her on Facebook and wanted to reconnect. She always had a crush on him and was single, so she took a chance and went out with him on a date. He invited her to a park right before sunset and they talked for a while. Eventually, the families and people at the park left and it was only them. He started getting more physical (holding her hand, touching her arm and shoulder, etc) even though she liked him, she thought it was going too fast and told him to stop. He got frustrated and pushed her down on the bench and kissed her and touched her inappropriately. She slapped him and he sat up and just laughed. She ran to a nearby gas station and called my dad to pick her up. She told me all of this later that night and even though she's older than me, I wish I was there to protect her because I can't imagine how scary and uncomfortable that was.

This is a bit of a different gut feeling story but during the summer holidays I stayed at my Grandad's place a lot because it's where my dad has been staying so we could spend some time with him (parents split in March and he hasn't been able to find a place even now he's staying with my aunt). Every time I went I had the worst feeling that my Grandad was going to die very soon. I had to keep convincing myself everything would be fine just to not start crying because of how overwhelming the feeling was but as a result I jumped at every opportunity to go stay the night and tried to make the most of it (apart from the one time I couldn't go as I had to get my college results). Mid September he ended up in hospital and he passed on the 10th of October. Still very sad about it but I'm glad I got to make the most of the time I could see him (we hadn't seen him very often for a while thanks to him getting into a car accident and living far ish away). Feel bad for my oldest sibling tho because they hadn't had a chance to come with us thanks to work and stuff and had just cleared up the time around when he got hospitalized so she never got to see him again.

Not a gut feeling but I experienced something similar with that story of appendix. I was at school when the lower part of my belly felt painful. I also felt feverish but I had my classmate checked my temperature and it wasn't really hot. Went home and still felt the pain. My grandma contacted my mom and she brought me to the hospital. Turns out it was appendicitis but luckily it haven't burst yet and it wasn't really goin to burst any time soon since according to the nurse, we spotted it very early. I stayed in the hospital for about 2 weeks , I think, and I got my surgery.
