Ron Gaddis... Man, what a great Country Singer. I loved watching him on Stage with George Jones. They always had a great time together, cuttin' up on Stage. Ron would always take time out to visit with his Fans after a Concert. A Super Great Guy. I hope that one day he gets the Praise and Recognition that he truly deserves. After he left the Jones Boys, they never sounded the same. They kinda just went down hill..... Anyway...Ron Gaddis has many Fans in South Alabama. Thanks for all the great Music over the years Ron. Your a Class Act my friend!

He deserves great success but I doubt it will happen. Not sure why but he is really outstanding.

The real George fans did indeed know how valuable Ron and the band was for George. It was especially true during the Nancy years,it was Ron and the band plus Nancy that gave us all twenty five of George's final years at such a high level. Thanks for sharing.

Rubbish Nancy was the one that got rid of Ron and eventually stopped George's closes friends and family from contacting him. Ron was the best backing singer George jones ever had.

I have known Ron for 20+ yr's, we met when i was 21 at The Palace, even had a whirlwind romance, but we never had 1 disagreement, i soon went on to meet and work with and eventually fall in love with 1 of both our hero's in the industry, he even did a duet with Ron on his cd, and he loved Ron an admired his talent, however he always kept us from seeing each other as friend's even, when we were playing the same venue, even though this legend had became my fiance'Huz Ron, Gina James

I never had the pleasure of attending a George Jones concert in person. However, when I watch him on youtube, I look at Ron as much as George. His presence, his singing, his playing the guitar seems extraordinary to me. I am curious about his private life, personal demons, what he is doing with his tremendous talent, and I can't find much. Did he really lose his job with George Jones? I would think George would have been lost without him. Just curious. Thanks.

It's funny you should say that. I felt the same way when I saw him singing with George.

Nancy got rid of Ron just has she did with most of George's family at the end.
Ron was the best backing singer George ever had and I'm surprised he let Nancy interfer.

He played with jim vest at the western room in printers alley. He would always come and talk as if he had known you for years. Jones would be there but didn't sing ,

Thing is, most of Bucks hits were duets with Don Rich, a man who doesn’t get near the recognition he deserves.

@@teenytinylordkiplet I wish I could say that you are wrong but I must have listened to the wrong cut by Buck. I just listened to the 1964 cut and it was excellent. I would rate them as a tie.
