Just picked Emotiva Airmotive speakers,T1+'s, a C1+, and E2+'s. Have been looking at this player. I have a huge collection of CD's, and Hybrid SACD's. Great looking machine, looks like it is built as good as my Emotiva speakers. Love the XLR's. Great work on the review guys. Have a great day guys!
Other transports at this price point mention specs that include read ahead buffers or clocking mechanisms that reduce jitter. There is no talk of this on their site. Do the the balanced outputs have internal balanced circuitry? Or is there a single line conversion to the XLR outputs?
How reliable is the DAC when connecting a newer TV (optical input) to an older stereo receiver (analog output)? I have had issues with cheaper DACs when it comes to audio and video syncing up.
That's a very tough question as we've never had a chance to test this configuration. You may want to reach out to Emotiva directly. Our guess is that if you're going from TV optical to analog...then you may end up with sync issues regardless. Best of luck!
The Emotiva looks like a great player and I'd buy it right now if it was gapless. I have many CDs that although the "track" numbers change one song blends seamlessly into next or they are recordings of live concerts that have tracks but play continuously and there is no way I can listen to these CDs with artificial gaps inserted by the CD player, that's not the way the artist intended the recording be heard and not the way I want to hear them. As a possible way around this gap problem does anybody know of a way to rip and burn a CD to make it all appear as one track to the Emotiva?
I use the XLD ripper that can rip to various lossless formats and has the option to rip gapless or as one file which would perhaps be a solution for copying live albums without a slight hiccup between tracks…
They both admitted to this being their 1st reference quality player. I'm thinking that they should've spent half as much to experience similar sound quality in the likes of Cambridge Audio's axc35 or Onkyo c7030 and maybe later add a dac with the balance saved? A for effort
Lads get a freebie from Emotiva and the praises start torrenting from the very get go, and never end. I guess this was s good ad deal for both parties. The benefit to viewers, on the other hand? Nought.
I know, how could they make a CD player that isn't gapless? I have many CDs that although the "tracks" change one song blends into the next, it's the way the artist intended the music be played and to put gaps into that is beyond me.
I own an ERC-1 CD Player and I love it. I have heard many CD players and the ERC-1 is my favourite.

Los hermanos de alta fielidad!
What's the CD tray made from? Plastic, metal, vibranium?

I used to. But that was in like high school. I have no cd burned now. And now that you brought it up. I’m getting the itch to burn a cd
If you can honestly recommend this CD player, I have serious concerns about how many CD players you have experience with.

Can I stream spotify on this
No, this is a dedicated CD player. It doesn't have a UI for streaming services.
@@HiFiBrothers do you anything emotiva makes that I can stream spotify to it and send audio via optical out to my processor?
@@DurtySpriteEnt check out the TA-100
@@HiFiBrothers I did, but it only has optical input
@@DurtySpriteEnt Not sure if you'll be able to find any products unless you replace your processor with their XMC-1
I think that’s more than a 20 lb weight CD player…

This unit does not support gapless playback. That's a deal breaker for me.
CDs or mp3s?
@@joshuamartindale868 CDs, I don't know about mp3s.
