I appreciate your balanced discussion. As a new W Club member, I’m not discouraged, even though I have yet to actually order a doll (I didn’t like any of the upgrade dolls). My biggest concern is potential quality control issues. Whatever Integrity does, I would rather have a good doll when I get one, rather than have more availability of mediocre dolls.
I wish we talked more about quality control! But yes, totally agree! Prices are keep going up, so one would expect the quality would be better or the same. They also reduced the warranty down to 4 months. Maybe we will discuss it in detail in another video ❤️ -Sang
I’m so glad they are doing this Basic line, bc I’m 44 years old. And I’ve always wanted to own a Poppy doll. I’ve always Collected Barbies, an dolls In general. But I’ve always wanted Poppy doll. Now I can finally afford one.. so fingers crossed I can one. I love watching you guys, you do give great Information about all this. So thank u both much love!💕
Poppy is so cute! And the gateway doll for collectors from different brands. I hope you'll get to pick out a Poppy soon :). It's hard to say no to that face. And thank you for watching! We appreciate your comment ❤️ -Sang
Great discussion guys. I'm a first year W club member and I can truely say that I am not comfortable (yet) with the idea of contacting dealers to pre-order. I prefer a more direct purchase/pre-order experience. So far I have gone through IT/WClub direct links to pre-order or purchase, and also used the Sideshow option. I have been pretty successful.
I definitely prefer dealing with an automated system when ordering rather than talk to a person haha. But we gotta do what we have to if a dealer has a doll we really want. I am happy to hear that you been having a successful experience with your purchases this year! -Sang
I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on all this. I don’t have any collector friends or time to spend on the W Club forum, so this scratched an itch for me! Thank you and I hope you do more of this in addition to your doll reviews.
First, love the new hair Sang!!! I think you hit the nail on the head about growing pains because truly they have to balance and it's all a trade off. Convention is really a main focus for them and will get the most dolls (even this year with them cutting down on an event but charging the same????) so it becomes 'if they spend more time or money on non con releases where does that leave con' or 'if they make larger editions of public releases will that mean less time/dolls in other places and longer wait times?' Who can know? And definitely there's the question of if they expand then by how much should they go for and is that growth sustainable at all? If they make a big leap on spending to make more things they could be left holding the bag on paying for that investment. Plus there is a large subset of the community that enjoys having access to something smaller in edition, it's just getting it that's the problem. Having steadily collected since 2017 there's definitely been a major boom within the last 2 years IMO. Navigating the system of dealer dolls can be very tough and quite often mean luck but also learning the rhythm of collecting and going with that flow. For instance Reckless 2 definitely was a fight unlike any other & with my hesitation I missed out but when the newest wave of things was announced I was ready to pounce and because I both had an email draft ready to send and was quick on the draw I managed to get something but that was no guarantee. Mainly I'm glad they're growing but I'm also exhausted ever so slightly with the dealer doll process and even the prices inching up little by little. I'm still here to happily collect but there's also balancing what to spend on IT vs. remembering my other doll passions so again it's balance. I'm confident they'll figure it out tho and look forward to what club dolls will pop up (even if I end up not getting any/most like last year) while spending elsewhere in the meantime.
Most definitely agreed with everything you mentioned. I wouldn't want to be in IT's shoes in terms of trying to figure out the right balance. Conventions are really big for IT, for sure. The hype of the events and dolls usually means their con productions sell out and they don't have to worry about overstock and loss. The 2020 convention felt more like an extended webinar, than a year celebration. It's been pretty unfortunate with the last few live reveals that collectors didn't have time to decide if they truly love the dolls or not. Either you commit quickly or the doll sells out. But you're right, we as collectors need to find the balance in our own spending with IT. Most collectors collect other things too. And we shouldn't get to caught up in the hype and overspend. -Sang
Hey Sang love your hair color!!! Hi Guys, great video discussion!! You both were very on point on all the topics you covered in the video. And besides all the factory situation and edition sizes, I think you nail on the suggestions to IT.. If they balanced out the offering of dolls with one or two made to order dolls (besides the upgrades) like the Club doll, probably some collectors (new ones) would feel less mad about loosing opportunities to "buy dolls".. (and not presents almost the majority of the club dolls or made to order dolls at the end of the year)... I do think the open edition sizes were an amazing idea and the dolls were gorgeous, but the most coveted ones still it adds a lil bit of frustration to people who can't get any, yet. Yes, they can order one in a future.. but some may feel like they still have "no dolls yet". I was able to secure a an Agnes, but no Lilith for me in the first batch. But I am not mad about it.. I know some day in a future I will get one.. so no hurry, But I do see the negativity and complain on the forum and on social media... About convention; I was not able to secure a ticket so I was sad about it... but I didn't buy that many dolls either, so hopefully I will get the doll or two that I liked the most [crossing fingers]. I do think IT is testing the waters with the open editions, but I don't see them going to extremely bigger sizes.. As you said at the beginning it involves warehouses, material availability and personal.. so who knows... BTW I think it is good that they choose to have some open edition dolls (in batches) and the usual limited edition sizes. But I do agree that there should be bigger collection editions, or more dolls presented at once, like a proper collection as you both pointed out.. so people can hace a variety to select, or at least can have an opportunity to get one or two. But I do think that the capsule collection could be related with what the factory can handle with the new global situation.. Who knows.. But probably next year, the craziness of this year will be addressed.. Thanks for your video discussion, it was awesome as always, and looking forward for the conspiration/leaking video... Or the Alejandra review!!!
Thank you, Carlos! It's still early in the club year so I hope IT finds a good balance in dolly offerings. I have a feeling they are being cautious on what they put out, in fear of angering collectors further. Then again, us collectors are a hard to please crowd. Honestly as we discussed, we really won't get to see the results a lot of these changes until probably the end of the club year or the following. The small capsule collections has been a thing prior to 2020 and we have seen "micro" capsule collections as a result of last year. I hope IT could cut a better deal with the factory to allow them to produce more dolls. It is a sad reality that conventions are the bulk of where the dolls are at. Which resulted in con tickets being more coveted. I wish there will be more balance between convention exclusivity and regular doll offerings. Hopefully this and last year are not the standard for IT moving forward. -Sang
@@ToyChat I really hope the same.. I am Ok with how things are going.. and I am prepared mentally for what is coming (in social media).. But yes, I really hope things get better for IT and the dolls offerings..
definitely prefer limited edition dolls. that's why ive decided not to go for any of the open edition dolls. id rather win something rare and be ok with missing out on them too.
I for one, DO NOT want Integrity Toy's to become as big as Mattel or Hasbro! The main reason the Fashion Royalty dolls are consistently higher quality is because they produce a smaller quantity of product. More time can be spent on each doll when the numbers are lower. Mass production equals lower quality.
I have been collecting IT since 2006 or 2007. I miss out on dolls now and I missed out on dolls then. There is always another pretty doll around the corner. I am more bummed about not making it in to convention last year or this year.
You have the right mindset! We actually get quite a few dolls through out the club year, not to mention overall. We should focus on what dolls truly connects with us, rather than get caught up in the hype. And I am sorry to hear about the convention. I do miss in-person conventions. Virtual conventions seems more like an extended webinar than an event. This year's process was particularly stressful. But I hope you'll be able to pick up any dolls you really need for your collection. Or like you said, there's always another pretty doll around the corner! ❤️ -Sang
It is always so interestng to listen to your discussions, especially IT. I'm also a new member this year and trying to understand, what I want, what I need or what I'm capable of. I missed Reckless collection, but snagged Victoire from sideshow almost out of despair. And did you notice that this East 59th collection also sold out pretty fast? p.s. Sang, your whole look is BOMB
Thanks for watching! It's pretty overwhelming as a new member but I hope you stick with it! Also New York Bound Victoire is stunning. I also preordered her :). I'm glad East 59th is finally getting some love. I think it's a combination of its growing popularity and collectors jumping on board cuz they missed out on other lines. And finally thank you for the nice compliment! :) -Sang
Great discussion. As an International collector it is harder and more expensive (International shipping adds so much to the price) to get the dolls you want. There are not many dealers in Europe and they sell out immediately. This has been already for many years even if you have a good relationship with the dealers. It has discouraged me to invest time and money (and stress!!!) to get the dolls from the newer lines. So personally for me the fun and excitement for collecting IT is bit over. I do wish there was a better way for International collectors to get the dolls. I collected IT dolls from early on ( Still have few with the older body and face sculpts) and I still love the dolls and I am happy with the collection I have. I wish IT all the succes and they deserve it because the dolls and fashions are impeccable.
We are glad! We keep hearing bad stories that we often forget or don't hear about good dealer interactions! We been collecting around the same time :) -Sang
As a new Integrity collector within the last year, and seeing how big they are growing, I think a slightly bigger addition size would be nice. Also, I feel hopeless to even try to get a lottery doll. It’s very frustrating not having much of a chance, to get more dolls that are released.
They need quality control I noticed the red dress I got with The Bands Breakup Stormer doll the Jem And The Holograms line. The black squiggly liner around the dress rubbed off, and flaked all over the place. Upset about that because it is a nice dress, and I can't replace it not sure what to do except sew some other fabric over it.
I would like to join the W Club next year if possible (would be my first time joining), and watching your series on IT and their dolls has been really helpful with my research!! I'm not as interested in the new and yet-to-be-released dolls as I am in the exclusive second-hand market, because it seems like there really isn't another second-hand market for old dolls anywhere besides the W Club. I'm curious if you can address that aspect of the membership, or if you can't really say anything about it because of W Club rules. Thanks!! Ah, by the way, IT seems like it's being managed by a smart team of people - I'm sure they'll figure out a way to accommodate their growing pains without expanding so much that they collapse. I'd prefer it if they kept themselves to the smaller side, but ultimately it's up to them to decide what's best!! They just have to do it in a way that keeps fans involved and informed.
We would love to see you join the W Club next year! The more the merrier! Keep a look out for the open enrollment that's usually in Feb-March. In terms of secondary-hand market, there's a few places you can check out: eBay, w club forums, and facebook IT groups! Hope that helps! And yes, IT has been around for 25 years. I have faith that they will do what's best for the company. -Sang
Really interesting discussion. Thanks. I agree with you guys mostly and not sure how IT can grow. As you mentioned, maybe things will be better when IT has larger collections rather than these tiny capsule collections.
The 2007 FR Style du Jour Collection were released in editions of 1200 each. Ditto the 2009 Future Perfect FR Collection. The 2009 Spring "On The Fringe" Nu.Face Agency Collection each had an Edition Size of 1000. Of course, back then, they didn't sell out in less than 1 minute. Over the years, IT has calibrated their Edition Sizes over the years based on demand versus how many were left on the shelf. I believe the Dealers complained about the overstock. IT would need a crystal ball to predict the popularity of any given doll (for the most part).
Hiya Jenn! Thank you for the info! I only researched on past edition sizes. It's nice to hear from someone with more info on it! I wouldn't want to be in IT's shoes and figure out how to balance supply and demand. Especially when you have to decide so far in advance, and hope that once the dolls are produced, the interest in them will remain high. We as collectors, have trouble imagining how much space dolls can take up. Especially ones that don't sell and have to sit on the limited space in shops. It's a juggling act that I think IT prefers to produce less to avoid over-saturation. -Sang
Hopefully the first W Club exclusive will be ready next month or so! They do take forever. I remember the last 3 out of 5 exclusive was announced in the last two months of the club year! -Sang
Excellent commentary very eye opening .. Conventions- 2020 killed all doll conventions, I’m not apart of any IT clubs, can’t afford it , if I want to buy any particular doll I usually buy one off the cuff from dealer left overs, or EBay, or the new open additions... I’m fully vaccinated, but this year I’m still a bit Leary to attend any of my fav convention’s even if/when they announce, why? ,, Not enough people in the States have been vaccinated, and these variant’s are scary ... Finger’s crossed after the summer , and if new infection’s remain low I’ll be ready.... Question, I’ve been late to the new open addition doll’s on their website , how do you get notification’s for new listings? ...Thanks
It's hard to tell what the future will look like for in-person conventions. It's very unfortunate that the US is struggling to get everyone on board with vaccinations. But we are hopeful that we will get to a point that it is safe to attend another convention one day. -Sang
I think as far as branching they should move up to hot toys and sideshow level. Not Mattel and Hasbro level those companies are cheep and qty over quality but currently IT is to small in order to survive they need to get to edition sizes close to 4k. It's low end for most companies but closer to hot toys exclusive edition size.
I'm curious what your opinion on the cost of IT dolls if they were able to transition to the scale of Hot Toys. Would you be comfortable with paying around the same price? I agree the current edition sizes are too small compared to the demand. Maybe they are can slowly increase the edition sizes until they find a good balance? 4K seems like a lot. Even the made to order dolls had capped out at around 2500. But I think we would have a better idea what the interest is in the brand once we find out what the numbers are for the 2021 upgrade dolls. -Sang
@@ToyChat well phicen is the best representation of a small company who is competing at that end. 4k is kinda standard for global collectable market. It may appear alot but poppy should be the only one to start that transition. Sideshow offers payment plans so even if you have a more conservative wallet you could purchase poppy. But there is high expectations if you expect to compete at hot toys level because even action figure fan boys may buy her if doll looks good next to phicen. The pedestal stands will need to be corrected so doll can securely stand in a detoff (Mattel has a leg gripper that grips one leg loosely but balances the other but it's cheap and easily breaks so IT will need to do a variant of this. In general IT quality is great so clothes need to be on point. But hand gestures you need more not (action figure gestures) but hand model gestures. Poppy needs to grip a cell phone with confidence so groves put in place for one hand or a purse grip hand is important. Feet options are important as well most collectibles at that level should have versatility. If you intend to boost $$$ you need glothing and shoe/boot packs. That being said when you go up the resale goes down so this will piss off the people who have been gaming the system and ruining it for new members with the buy and scalp significantly. Because more people can buy poppy than ever before. It will boost value of all older poppies by contrast because they will all be OG at that stage. I think 59th will only get to 2.5k edition size due to its dated 50's flair unless they go into rockabilly and pinup 50's fashion. Because mad Men 60's is what people of xgen and younger purchasing r8ght now is collecting when it comes to "vintage" poppy sold well because of "MOD" Era fashion. Which most millennial say come back in fashion in 2009-2011 and movie queens gambet reinforced. Poppy is going to have expectations to see fashions from YSL, pacco rabanne, emilo pucci, Mary Quant, Andre courgees (white collection) etc. #IT only done some but not the wow factor mod.
@@ToyChat a side note Chip will be expected to be brought up to par and he may want to sport 60's mod Era fashion from Beatles to psychedelic. Men's fashion back then was up there but not all crazy but some outfits in 1967 were unisex Men accessories with stylish belts, footwear, hats. Bold prints on blazers to peacock for poppy. Each of the designers had menswear they didn't fly off shelf as much because only 20yr Olds from my research was buying fashion they put together from thrift stores in Chelsea UK which on Carnaby street was the huge location where people hanged out to be seen. The phenomena caught on in USA and China had a conservative version(strict hemline laws) For men blazers almost never matched pants. Unless it was deliberate by a designer and had to be worn by Beatles or hendrix to be taken seriously by young men. You'll see military coats from civil war and around that Era sported by men due to celebrities wearing it 1st. I call it (protest fashion) CHIP will need male friends added to poppies universe so ginger will also be released. Darla will also need a Man he will need to model hair more in line with time. So when poppy goes up so will that modeling friends. Don't be surprised if Poppy is the only line by IT to get the spotlight to grow the company for awhile. The Homme line will also be a required feature at that time due to expectations for more male dolls are in heights not even Mattel was prepared for when Ken started getting more demands collectors are fed up with lack of men for all there female dolls.
@@ToyChat alot of doll collectors may not like what I have to say about accessories but here it goes. Not every doll needs earrings or gaudy rings. Gabriella Chanel was right less is more with accessories. IT will be put into the spot light by the fashion world so jewelry will be scrutinized intensly. The heads on dolls will need a peg in ears to allow for when you remove you can easily slip earrings in. But if outfit demands earrings something will have to go like bracelets or necklace or no ring.ive been doing that on my dolls so my dolls don't look borderline tacky. Purses will always have to come with a doll. But so will representing hand to hold it either a clutch hand or a handbag gripper. When coming with a fur coat she will need a hand to grip to "walk" this coat. Yes that is a term when your modeling a fur. Is walking the coat. IT will need to see poppy as if she is on a runway not just photoshoot
We did review the Adonis dolls from the same company a little while ago. And Max owns a few of the Mizi dolls. Aaaaannnnd we might have something on the schedule soon, so stay tuned! ;) -Sang
I agree that the exclusiveness of Integrity dolls does create a lot of hype around every release so I don't see them moving away from that business model anytime soon. However, I do hope that they make it easier for collectors to at least have a chance of buying the dolls they want. Right now Integrity has found a nice niche for itself for higher end fashion dolls, but that doesn't mean that they won't have competitors coming up in the future. JHD Toys is releasing a Mizi that looks very similar to Poppy Parker for example and they are clearly aiming their brand at the same demographic that collects Integrity.
We are very curious with what IT will do to address the demand. There's been a lot of negative feedback online over the last few releases. But I hope collectors will give IT some time to adjust to their growth. The new Mizi doll that looks like Poppy? Max just received her. I think a little competition is always good for the consumer. The doll is cute. Maybe we should review her! -Sang
Yes! Less waste is great and we appreciate that. Sometimes we forget about that since we are the type of collector that keep all the packaging as storage for our dolls. But IT does have the right idea to reduce on plastic packaging. -Sang
in person conventions is what keeps me collecting. if there isn't a social aspect..then id just stop collecting and enjoy what I have in my little corner.
I also appreciate the social aspect of collecting as well. I would, by far, collect a lot less if my hobby wasn't doll photography or if I wasn't reviewing for our channel. Part of the thrill of collecting is sharing our experiences and collection with others. I hope we get back to in-person conventions soon! -Sang

I have ordered from 3 different dealers and have never had a bad experience. I started collecting in 2017!
-Sang
Sang, love your hair and that sweater!
Thank you! ☺️
Really interesting discussion. Thanks. I agree with you guys mostly and not sure how IT can grow. As you mentioned, maybe things will be better when IT has larger collections rather than these tiny capsule collections.
Exactly! Hoping for the return of larger collections! -Sang
Yes, more Hommes! Conventions from the past three years have been pretty dry. 😕
Yeah, the monarchs are not really my thing when it comes to male dolls. I'd love to see more Hommes in some of the other lines. -Sang
-Sang
I just want the W club exclusives . Not the right to buy just the open ones like when you signed up, and I swear they’re taking forever.
Hopefully the first W Club exclusive will be ready next month or so! They do take forever. I remember the last 3 out of 5 exclusive was announced in the last two months of the club year! -Sang
@@ToyChat well it does give people time to save! I’ll twiddle my thumbs in practicing patience! Thanks for replying!!! You guys are amazing!
-Sang
FR have always been hard to get
From the very first offering. I would be able to get some but it was always a challenge.
@@ToyChat when I wrote glothing it's gear plus clothing (accessories)
@@ToyChat a side note Chip will be expected to be brought up to par and he may want to sport 60's mod Era fashion from Beatles to psychedelic. Men's fashion back then was up there but not all crazy but some outfits in 1967 were unisex
Men accessories with stylish belts, footwear, hats. The phenomena caught on in USA and China had a conservative version(strict hemline laws)
For men blazers almost never matched pants. Unless it was deliberate by a designer and had to be worn by Beatles or hendrix to be taken seriously by young men. You'll see military coats from civil war and around that Era sported by men due to celebrities wearing it 1st. I call it (protest fashion)
CHIP will need male friends added to poppies universe so ginger will also be released.
Have you guys seen or reviewed Mizi Doll? I would love to hear your thoughts on them and maybe compare the dolls
-Sang
I’m new to this world so thank you for sharing this info!
Bad Kimber's clothes from Jem And The Holograms was hell to get on. Even with my small fingers I don't know how those guys at Integrity Toys do it.
Love the purple hair, Sang!😘
Awe thank you so much ☺️
Great video again! Love the hair Sang :)

I hope they make more Aria💕
I love you guys channel It’s really helpful thank you because you tell From our point of you
Awe we are glad that you been enjoying our videos! Thank you so much for watching! -Sang
Did u get tickets
I think their model is ridiculous. I am not working this hard to give anyone my money! And the scalpers are pure evil!!
You know that goes on. Keep and sell at inflated prices. Come on.
The whole point of the boxes it to keep shipping down. Also, to minimise the excessive junk that comes in terms of packaging for these dolls.
-Sang
@@ToyChat absolutely
Love your look SANG

So it sounds like u both hot tickets? A lot of we W club members think the dealers and well both of u, Suresh ect get tickets. Not to b offensive but many of us think there is favoriteisiam going on. Please tell me if I’m wrong. Just the way you talk it’s a done deal. Like you two just assume u will get tickets
We understand that there was a limited number of tickets and we sympathize with the collectors that did not get in. There's nothing to assume because ticket sales already happened by the time this video was filmed. And we had to go through the same process as everyone else. There has never been any special treatment or perks given to us. -Sang
Dave by saying that you are being very unfair, many people weren't able to get tickets for the convention, I spoke to both of these guys through Instagram, and neither won the lottery for the tickets, but luckily they were able to get in through the Google form, unfortunately you're not the only one that feels left out!
