Let's paint a decorative pumpkin in Ukrainian folk art style of Petrykivka. I am using only 3 Fall-inspired colors: White, Orange and Venetian red 🧡 I am using ‪@winsornewton‬ and Turner gouache on black Fabriano paper. Enjoy!

Anna how many coats of orange and how many white do u think you might have on this ??

Hi Leann - I would say it depends on the quality of white gouache. If you use professional like W&N, one coat is enough , and for every color on top one would be enough. Cheaper student brand unfortunately don’t have enough pigment for 1 coat and some black will come through muting the colors on top, in this case we would need 2 coats 😊 I used one coat here because my white zinc is heavily pigmented.
