How to paint folk art designs:
Step 1) Paint your background with one solid color
Step 2) Print a picture of your favorite folk art design
Step 3) Use a dark graphite pencil to fill in all of the shapes in the folk art design
Step 4) Press the paper face down onto your painted surface
Step 5) Rub the paper very thoroughly and press hard to transfer the pencil onto the surface
Step 6) Fill in all of the shapes with any paint colors of your choice

Your end result is very pretty, just not what I was looking for. The pencil tip is good to know though. I've been spending money on graphite paper for years, lol.

You can get these designs free and also purchase anywhere 🙄 and FYI it doesn’t say who “created” them .. maybe an old granny from Poland ffs 🤦🏽♀️

Meghan, a stencil has parts cut away that you paint through. This video used a pattern.
