Every time I think I am over Relient K, I look back at them and fall in love with their music, their Lyrics, and their Love for God. They are really just a good group, I always enjoy hearing them :)
I love You JESUS!!!! Thank You for loving all of us, and for giving us the path to salvation, for long suffering with us, though we always stray--Your love abounds with glory no words can ever describe!
This song is so awesome. Most of the time I don't know what I'm getting myself into but I believe God will help me along the way. He is awesome that way :p
That's the beauty of music. People interpret different songs different ways. Lots of us interpret this as a song to God, me included. But that doesn't make it any less of a love song.
He's obviously not atheist, though. They also have another wonderful song called "For the Moments I Feel Faint," and it's about the everlasting love an compassion of Jesus. It's a beautiful song, and this band is one of my favorites because they're clean, and their messages are profound for me. :)
This is an amazingness song that I heard on the radio at 1:30-2:00(can't remember exact time) last night. I had finished my work at 1, but I was anxious and couldn't and didn't want to go to sleep. I tried talking to friends and playing mindless games, but I think this song is what really got me to start to fall asleep. ~*ALL praises to the King of kings!*~
When I heard the little blurb on iTunes I thought it was a love song to a girl, but now I know it's a love song to God and that makes it even better. Thanks Relient k for putting it in words perfectly
I'm not religious, and I have do not intend to ever be religious, but I love this song. Originally the way it sounded was what drew me in, but after really listening to it, I realized that this is the God that should have a connection to people. So many people view their God as a spiteful entity who sends people to hell for anything, and I don't think that's the kinda guy you should worship. It's that whole respect v. fear, and with a God like this you can love and respect him, as opposed to worship thru fear of being damned.
+tam f Actually- Between the old and new testament- this is exactly the way God is portrayed. the old testament is a god that enhanced fear- The New Testament brought upon a loving, forgiving God that is what Christianity is based off of now. If there are Christians who don't know the difference, they don't know Christianity.
God is not spiteful, no. He is Loving. Merciful. But He is also Just. Hell was never built for us, it was built to punish Lucifer and the other fallen angels. He has given us the path to Him--to eternal life, to completeness. It is only up to us to receive Jesus as our Savior--the Messiah who would die for unworthy people like us, people who forget that there is actually Someone out there who has been long suffering with us. He loves you, me, and every person that has ever lived in this world. This is true! He loves you too! He loves everyone! He has created you, and He loves you! Don't ever forget that! He wants all of us to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 18:23; Matthew 23:37). We can choose to chase after different temptations in this world, that will never quench our soul and just keep us hanging in the air with an empty heart. But it is only in desiring God, in loving Him above all else are we able to find peace and happiness. I have always been a depressed person. I hated myself once, for the person that I am and turned out to be. I felt empty, and I always cried. But then, God found me. He has always been trying to help me find Him, but every time He does, something grabs my attention and I look away. But right now, I think I am where I want to be. I want to continue loving God, and knowing who He is, I do not want to stray any longer---I have never felt more peaceful nor happier in my life before. God loves you. He does. You just have to open up to Him, and let Him bring love and peace in your life. Be hopeful, for there is always Hope! Remember this. For Jesus has laid down His life for us, so that we may find salvation through Him. Will you lay down your life for an unjust person? For a person you know will only even remember you in passing? For a person who will only want to testify against you? I won't. But--that is just how amazing our God is, see? He exceeds every expectation! That He would lay down His very life--with sharp nails on His hands, nailed to a cross and everything, for a whole six hours plus! He is awesome! He is unbelievable, exceptional--and do you know why He would even do that? It's so that you can be saved. So that everyone can be saved. It's because He loves you. He loves all of us. :)
do you want to know the real reason Jesus died? because of his message! His message is love everyone! Who can say that they believe in him if they don't follow? loving your enemy is really fucking hard but if you can do it I will believe you if you say you believe in him, otherwise by what right do you call yourself Christian? He most certainly did not die as a ransom but rather to educate us to save ourselves from ourselves. Evil is not a living entity. It does not exist except as an absence of love. it exists by the means of its nonexistence. Cold is an absence of heat but it can still kill you if you go out in the snow! Jesus came to educate not to ransom himself! Belief backed up by logic is called certitude :))
I love the song, it helps me with my walk with God, but I think one thing they could change is instead of, I kind of view as a son, they could do, You know, I view as a son. But that's just me, I love Relient K they are some of the most inspiring instruments of God

This song will always, always hold a special place in my heart. While I am no longer religious, it still has so much meaning to me. To help minister to people, turn the other cheek to those who slap you. Love those who anger you, and give whoever's fighting with you a hug. Be an example, not an aggressive Christian seeking to shove "love" down the throats of people. I made someone cry yesterday by telling them I loved them when we they fought me. He asked me how I could love those who've wronged me, I said I loved God, and that he loved me so I loved him back and helped everyone around me.
Can you see love? Even SCIENTISTS have called love a mystery. You can't see love. But you can feel it and act upon it. You can declare it. I can feel God working in my life. I act upon it. I've seen Him provide for me out of thin air. I've seen Him heal the sick. I've witnessed His greatness. And we're not here to try to prove to you the God exists. We're witnesses to Him, and it is your choice whether you want to believe or not. But God believes in you, He died and rose again for you.
