If you visit Gothenburg during the winter Liseberg has an event called "Christmas at Liseberg Park" and its one of the coziest and magical places in all of sweden during that time in my opinion. They put up over 5 million christmas lights and coupled with the scandinavian darkness at the time it literally transforms into something straight out of a fantasy book :) Glad you enjoyed your stay, Liseberg is Gothenburgs pride and joy and almost everybody in sweden has atleast visited it once.
Cations about timing: In the summer there is the worlds two biggest youth tournaments in Gothenburg. Partille Cup (handball) and Gothia Cup (football/soccer) You don’t want to plan go to Liseberg in those weeks. There is tens of thousands of youngsters all over town, an ALL of them will visit Liseberg.
True my family went there during Gothia cup during the summer this year and while we could get many rides thanks to the online queue thing in their app there were so many football kids-
I went to liseberg 2022 when gothia cup was, a lot of the teens started singing that “one kiss is all it takes” song really loudly in the helix queue lol
The virtual queueing in the app is just brilliant, if you're a group of say 3 or 4 people and you all have the app, you can all queue for different (or even the same) ride/rides and make sure it's not the same exact time, and you get to bypass all the tedious physical queues (which can be 30+ or even 60+ minutes sometimes) for the most popular rides, and if you find that you have some time between your virtual bookings you just go ride some of the mid or low tier stuff. :)
I was on Liseberg with a friend on halloween last year. It was magical. Also been on Liseberg when they do christmas-theme. I mean what a job. In halloween for sure. Thousands of thousands carved pumpkins. Everyone unique and not same faces at all. They got horrorthemes both for grownups and the mild ones for the younger audience. It was truly amazing. Living in Sweden but have been on Liseberg since I was a kid, so I have seen the parks developement through the years. Well, now I don't go on all the rides though, but they had some really awsome stuff in it's earlier life like Hang-Over, Top-Spin and so on. The one I loved the most was called AeroVarvet. It was a big ship that went around. Then they took that away and I asked them why? I got the answer: "Well, many people didn't like it because it was to scary so we didn't had any profit having it like that way." So they rebuilt it to a gigantic swing that doesn't makes you go upside down. Even if I don't go on rides nowdays, but if that comes back I will ride it until I puke. I rode it 4 times in a row once, and geez, I couldn't walk straight and my head was pumping. I mean, 3 times I was alone on the ride so yeah, I understand why they took it away.
The tower for Atmosfear used to be an observation deck that would slowly spin up to the top, so you could get a view of the park and the city before it was rebuilt to its current one.
Before you entered it, there was a video that played, which was about Gothenburg. It also went to the basement level before going up, where you could see the Land of the Liseberg bunnies. There used to be a movie simulator turned 3D cinema to the right, which is now the entrance to Helix. Atmosfear replaced the two previous ones, Uppskjutet and Höjdskräcken. (The Lift-off and the Vertigo). They were located, which is now the green park and has the Victorian-styled attractions.
Love Liseberg. Went there a few times as a kid in the 80s. Revisited last year. It has changed a lot but was also the same as I remember it. Beautiful park. Atmosphere used to be a gentle observation tower - no longer! Great fun. Great video.
This is my city. When I was a teen I went to Liseberg almost everyday in the summer. We had our trix to find tickets to all the rides. A favorite was to take girls on the Flume ride with our tickets. But at that time arcade games was a big thing and they had so much more of it. The teens in and around Gothenburg hung out in Liseberg more than what teens do today. I don't think teens really hang out there any more like we did. I met my first big love at Liseberg.
You forgot to visit the ghosthouse "Gasten". Sadly there was supose to be a waterpark finnished but there was a huge fire and it burnt down. They started to build it up again

I was just there with my sister and her son, and her son's friend the other day, it's sort of a summer tradition that we try to visit Liseberg at least once every summer. :) Fantastic day. Sorry to see you didn't get to the giant swing ride Loke, I'm assuming it wasn't available on the day (or it just didn't make the video). I think Loke is actually up there with Helix as my favorite, but they're obviously two completely different rides so you can't really compare the two.

There used to be a darkride called Sagoslottet (the Fairytale Castle), which they closed down to expand the Norse mythology section of the park. The animatronics and the ship-like wagons that you sit on has been saved and stored. You can watch a ride-along of it on UA-cam. Another thing that I remember as a kid is that there used to be Mickey Mouse museum. Owned and curated by the actor/artist/director/sing & songwriter Lasse Åberg. This was during the 90's. The museum aka. mouseum moved to a place outside of Stockholm. Lasse Åberg acted as one of the consults for the game Epic Mickey.
