this is a really good set up ....for AC at low speeds.....if you want to increase the efficiency more you can switch to R152a Refrigerant ( computer duster s pray at 60% of the R134a weight added......30% less power draw ..can barely hear the compressor kick in ... Jay.
@@tuninginnovations5481 in the real world it does not matter....think about it .....people spray their computer keyboard while smoking cigarette's at their home .. my one experiment now is over 3 years...runs and cools a 01 Olds Alero perfect.....can't hear the compressor even kick in .... 15% more efficient that R12 at idle and about the same at highway speeds.. spent a billion hours looking at alternant refrigerants ever since my boss told me in 1998 that Propane is an excellent refrigerant ..cheers : ) Jay.
@@charlesleake930 Had that one for a while and don't remember the brand. Its a cheap one. I have a thick Spal going in next after I cut and reweld the brace.

I may try the HFC 152a sometime. I can't remember if it is an A1 or A2 flammability.

How much has it helped, Ted?
Its noticeable on that car. AC subcooling reading changes between on/off also.
