- The Weather Channel's on-TV report on Super Typhoon Yolanda (International Name: Haiyan) as it makes its landfall on Guian, Visayas at 4:40am (GMT +8). Scary monster this typhoon is!
Dammmnnnn, that is extremely scary. I feel terrible for the locations in the eye of the storm.
The eye is always calm. The part you're going to worry is the eyewall.
A literal buzzsaw. Blades with teeth consuming people's lives. Mother nature ain't no slouch...
It looks like a donut. That's when you know things are serious--when the circle of a hurricane/typhoon is so perfect in every direction that it looks like a delicious pink donut...
This is AMAZING to see on radar, but I've followed this ALL day on The Internet. in a time when weather technology is at its best, this is indeed the most powerful tropical cyclone not only on record, but to hit land. I've read 3 or 4 articles of the mbar at 862 & another 858. inSANE. this will no doubt be very very very bad it's good to know most in phillipines have evacuated more north, but anyone who hasn't, LEAVE. NOW! i'd usually watch this on weather channel, but don't like to wait near an hour for tropical update. thanks for uploading & my thoughts will be for phillipines

@pyerzai welll. Due to climate change we could have c6 with 300 mph winds in the future
It's not A hurricane and at the Philippines we call it a signal number 4 super typhoon the highest and luckily not in path
Did you invent the enhanced Fujita scale?
Thank God i wasn't in the typhoon and live south of Mindanao which is under visayas or where the typhoon hit
