What Nick didn't mention is that Reckless was notorious for eating stuff like the campaign hat the Aussies gave her and one of her blankets and in cold nights in Korea she would sleep in the tents with the Marines Also when customs held Reckless they inferred that one of the diseases she might have was a STD which pissed the Marines off for questioning her honor
I wager the last one was just as much the Marines pissed at him questioning her honor as it was a 'what, PRECISELY, are you implying?' moment. Leading directly to the silently confirmed plan to add another unmarked grave to Doolan Canyon.
@@tanall5959 I very much doubt that the guy was trying to imply anything. STDs didn't start with humans and have been around almost since sexual reproduction became a thing. As a example Koalas have a big problem with chlamydia.
"24 pounds up a 45 degree incline equals the suck in any language you can possibly imagine." New favorite quote right there, and you're totally right as well. I wouldn't want to do that hill with NO gear, let alone however much shit they want to load down on their "light" infantry. Also if you're wondering, that bit at the end about the toilet paper is referencing his video on single ply toilet paper, which is also awesome.
So I work with horses for a living and here's a crazy fact you probably never knew about horses: It's not uncommon to give horses beer to help muscle recovery after doing strenuous work. So when the Marines gave Sergeant Reckless beer it actually helped her. Now I can't comment on the mixed drinks or the amount of beer the Marines gave her but it wasn't all bad for Sergeant Reckless.😁😅
Another neat fact that many people may not realize is that even tho horses are herbivores they can and will eat meat if the opportunity presents itself. So the marines feeding her bacon and eggs (tho probably not the healthiest due to the grease) isn’t as strange as you might think.
When it comes to marines there’s basically two things you don’t mess with: 1) Their crayons and 2) Their friends even if that friend happens to be a horse or duck
The Lance Corporal Underground, like the E-4 Mafia, is fully capable of getting shit done very quickly when properly motivated such as in the case of Reckless or when told that they can't go home until the work is done.
I absolutely LOVE how when reactors that watches this video get to the point where leadership doesn't think the American public would want to pay to bring Reckless back to the US, everybody, whether their American or not, instantly agrees that _yes, yes they would absolutely pay to bring her home._ *Because she's a fucking war hero and she deserves to come home.*
She was a Mongolian, as in the horse breed, so while yes she was quite small at 14 hands she was also super sturdy. Probably also where she got her tenacity from.
I was going to say something about drawing the pug's attention with that treat...that look every dog gets when they're less than an inch from something tasty, followed by that immediate grumble of "...Really?" But then you started laughing and gave her the numnum, so I'm okay now. :P
Back when I worked at sonic in Denison Texas i don't remember if it was the California fire that burned most of the west coast or the one from up north but i remember the sky looked a little orange and you can vaguely smell smoke from Denison to Bells
Oh god... Imagine the CGI horse they'll put in. Even worse if disney does it and they have to give her a mickey "cutie mark" like a freaking little pony.
I would pay to get that horse back myself if I could. As long as I can give her a hug. I also worked in a kitchen during the pandemic and wildfires having to wear a respirator in Portland Oregon.
They should make a series about the Korean War in the vein of Band of Brothers, and the battle of outpost Vegas and Reckless could be the last few episodes. I would watch the hell out of that
42:26 Bro i was in 29 Palms when that fire happened, i remember going to class and it was clear as day then when we got out for chow it was suddenly dark and we looked out to see a giant curtain of smoke blocking out the sun. Good times.
Where's the movie for this? My question is, why doesn't chubby electron guy have his own show yet? Imagine what Nic could do with a large studio budget and resources.
Every time I see a new Fat Electrician video I'm like "Why tf is this not a modern major motion picture?" Like the Eager Beavers for example, or Lewis Millett, or the DeHavlin Mosquito, these are all outstanding movie idea. Aimo, eh I dunno, it would be pretty funny I think. The Ghost of Battan I think would be another good one, or a modernized one for Jake McNeice.
@@raymurray3401 Well you know the movie the Dirty Dozen is based off him and his troops' exploits right? Only question is who would they get to play McNeice? Only good modern day action guy that comes to my mind is Chris Pratt, a lot of the other action stars would be too old to play the part.
Me when the dog came on camera: BABY! PETTING BABY! lol Love my dogs too, two beautiful pit bulls, one almost a year and one almost seven. Younger one gets so sad when I go anywhere she sometimes vomits from stress, older one is honestly too well behaved for her own good, and oh BOY do I have examples...
Fortunately I'm in Ohio, but i do remember that gender reveal fiasco after the wildfires. I WAS PIZZED OFF FOR ALL THE OTHERS IN THE SOUTHWEST. I mean my GAWD that is some b.s. that someone from the midwest would do. Yes, i live in intelligence hell. It's like "Idiocracy" here. Anyways, yeah, gender reveals were dumb before, but now i think it should be a class 2 felony.
Just thought I should add context to the toilet paper comment in the post credit scene. Mr fat electrician’s wife bought 1ply toilet rolls. Or as Nick says they are military grade toilet paper. He was not happy, so not happy that he actually made a video on it. I think for the end credit scene Nick actually made it a joke, for those of us have actually seen that video.
you may want to llok up the us / russian war of 1918/21 when the us went to war against russia ... yeah it happenedseveral channels have the story ive suggested it to the fat electritian maybe he will get around to it
@WonderMonkey-xp3xk tell me then why where russian and american soldiers killing each other yes we invaded russia we got involved courtisy of good ole woodrow but it did happen look up some of the videos it was called a war
Hey, I grew up in Tahoe and now live in Norway. I was wondering if you're still in the Reno/Sparks area. Can you do me a favor? i now live in Norway and have not been home in over 10 years. Could you go eat an Aweful, Aweful for me? Thanks ;)
As a Marine, I am slightly upset that I never learned about Sergeant Reckless. But then FE gave me that good knowledge.
I feel the same way. Rahhh
Or even Sgt Daly. Or the pirate wars after the revolutionary war.
The minute she finished hoof camp she was no longer a horse, that's a God damn marine.
Marines: "Look at our horse, our horse is amazing!"
Super underrated comment 🤣
give it a lick. now you gonna DIE. XD
Shuld one continue that song...
LOL
Give it a lick.
That jockey wasn't lying about that horse being intelligent.
That jockey sold the Marines, a guardian angel.

When it comes to marines there’s basically two things you don’t mess with: 1) Their crayons and 2) Their friends even if that friend happens to be a horse or duck
Normal people: Dog is man's best friend
The Marines: Observe
Side note Horses are scary levels of intelligent
Same with elephants
horses are super stupid but every once in a wile you get a smart one

Never been more prouder to be a USMC, 1971 to 1973.
you're probably my favorite reaction UA-camr especially when reacting to the chubby electron guy, keep it up
Don't torture the preggo Puglar and give her her treatsies!
18:34 Gets me every time no matter how many times I've watched this
This needs to be a movie
She was a *little* horse, too. Closer to pony size.
She was a Mongolian, as in the horse breed, so while yes she was quite small at 14 hands she was also super sturdy. Probably also where she got her tenacity from.
@@KairiPrime Yeah, a breed like that would have to be.

Suggestions next watch Fat Electrician's video on One Ply Toilet Paper or his video on the Deadliest Spy of WW2 "The Limping Lady."
Single ply needs to be abolished
On one hand I'd love to see a movie about this, on the other hand it's most likely they'd F it up and Sergeant Reckless doesn't deserve that o7
Oh god... Imagine the CGI horse they'll put in. Even worse if disney does it and they have to give her a mickey "cutie mark" like a freaking little pony.

I have heard about the garlic.
IIRC, they chewed it like gum
I didn't even realize you hadn't reacted to this one lmao
Don’t forget about government cheese we learned about that too😂
And things like what happened with the random horse is why communication is (at least should be) key in the military lol
I used to live by the Marina too. I wonder if we ever walked by eachother. Thats wild. What a small world, man.
Finding a "Good Officer" is the same as finding a Unicorn in the wild.
Reckless was the best girl. Change my mind.
They should make a series about the Korean War in the vein of Band of Brothers, and the battle of outpost Vegas and Reckless could be the last few episodes. I would watch the hell out of that
Lol, they Did! It's called, "MASH"..
At least they didn't name the colt Horsey McHorseface.

Our military and our vets ,don't get enough credit, and I can not stress the fact ,that no vet should live on the streets, EVER !!!❤️🤍💙
They need to get you on the Unsub podcast, so you can ask him your questions lol. Love the content. Always enjoy your reactions.
Someone tell Hollywood the story of this amazing girl
Love this story, and your reaction

By the eighth shot it calmed down, you know this horse is khorne's, it was to bring blood to the blood god and bring skulls to the skull throne
GIVE ME THIS MOVIE! GIVE ME THIS FUCKING MOVIE NOW!
It's a puppy full of puppies LOVE
I love Black Beauty, I love Spirit, give me Sargent Reckless!

If i dont mistake, she got a broken or at least injure leg during the sige, yet keep moving
Marine Corps: look at our horse our horse is amazing
The duck was cool af but seargent reckless blows it out of the water imo
Finally! This is going to be good.
Cute pup! Pregnant? Poor baby. I know she's ready to get it overwith.
Our boy needs a pupers chair bed or table...or both maybe.
