@@Bruno-ck4hl I want you (shes so heavy) The long one (the abbey road medley) While my guitar gently weeps The long and winding road Stairway to heaven The rain song Since ive been loving you Ten years gone Wish you were here Carry on wayword son
This song could have been recorded this year as it is so advanced, but in fact it is 55 years old and really shows how those people were ahead of their time!
A beautiful and therapeutic sound for sore ears! Abbey Road is, I think, the most masterful and musically sophisticated of all the Beatles albums and requires the highest standard of musicianship to reproduce live. The Analogues exude a kind of virtuosity and polish in live performance that brings to my mind (despite the different style of music) the Eagles more than the Beatles, very good though the latter apparently were in live performance.
I remember hearing this song on the Abbey Road LP when it first came out and it completely blew me away .I played it over and over again . And at 65 it still does blow me away .What a wild departure from their other music . Very Very well done Analogues !!!
67 and I am still amazed by this piece. The Moog, the Rick bass line, guitar layering, and the organ are so damn cool. Billy Preston cooked up something in between church, Bach, and a haunted house. Phenomenal.
I'm 33 and started listening to The Beatles when I was 15ish. Ever since I heard it the first time, it's been my favorite one of their songs. Especially the way it contrasts with Here Comes The Sun on a full listen.
I love what these fellows are doing. Consider the Beatles { except for some tracks on Abbey Road } only ever played and created these songs in a lab-like studio with layers of over dubbed orchestral arrangements. The Analogues are doing what has never been done! My musical tastes are very broad,. Rock, country, blues , jazz, bluegrass, Texas swing etc. The Beatles were just a " rock & roll band " { As John Lennon would describe them} I believe they were/are the greatest of all time. There are all the others.... but the Beatles were on a different artistic plane. Never to be equaled. I was 12 years old when they entered my life. We should all be grateful to the Beatles for what they gave us. If there is a God... I am sure he is a fan to.
I was born in 1965, and I always said „it was time when The Beatles plays”. Now I’m 57 years old, and The Beatles plays again 😉 It’s fantasitc 😁 Thank You Gentlemen’s 😄👍
The variety and range of compositions is astounding. And to think how this was done with very basic multitracking in 1969. I can hardly grasp how they can reproduce this so accurately live. .
@@TheBallznweenerz Good one, right to the point. Haha! Twice excellent musicians, BTW according to my ears. And second I wonder if good sound engineers have to mix it live delicately?
I appreciate The Beatles even more after watching them perform the songs. These live performances let one see what they were doing vocally and instrumentally in a way that illuminates the original recordings. Great work!!!!
The Beatles probably never played it again after recording it at Abbey studios and it’s great to hear it played the way it was meant to be. A great idea from John but a masterpiece once Paul and George put their two cents in to make it amazing. 😎
The Beatles were great at channeling the spirit of classical sounds. Then again, having three singers of some quality meant harmony, which meant having the tool of a symphonic mindset. As a singer who was once told by his voice instructor that I could make a living singing, I now know why. A voice is something you pretty much have to have as a gift. It all begins for me with the human voice. It was to their advantage to have studied something other than music. So, for me, this is what made the Beatles so influential. They encouraged us to learn and grow, to challenge ourselves by their example. This is why the Beatle I admire most is Paul, the teacher. At the core of the group was Paul’s dedication to music as a craft and art form. This sort of thing must always come from the working class. For Paul, it was always "eight days a week." He nearly killed poor George. And yet the old general seems to sleep well at night. "Sir Paul," a true "working class hero" of mine.
Note for note perfect!! I bet that tricky ending took a little practice to coordinate the timing. I wish these guys would come to California. If they did...I would go no matter where they perform.
Wààuw! What a super group. How I love the voice, his singing of Jan Vander Mey. I've seen them 3 times: fantastic! If I get the chance there Will be more tot come.
The music i grew up with. Born in 51 and have listened to everything the Beatles did when it was released. Their music was so magical and as great as so many other bands are no one came close to the Fab 4.
This is insane, you guys are unique. Notice that John Lennon was 29 yo when The Beatles recorded "I want you (She's so heavy)". Mr. Jan van der Meij was 64 when this performance was done... and listen to him, (wow). All respect to everyone of these musicians.
Fantastic! Bravo! The one thiing that's very subtle near the end of the recorded song is what I think they use large rain stick, as well as the wind noise that their using a synth for on stage.
Pretty, pretty good! I've heard a quite a few decent cover versions of this song but this one has the little extra bit of groove to it that makes you wanna listen over and over again.
if i was stuck on an island and could only have 10 songs, that would be one of them
I'm OK with you , really 😊 !! What are the nine other ones ?

You are all incredible musicians! It's unreal how close it sounds to the original
They use the same brand and type of instruments as used by the Beatles, so it sounds the same!
@@t.versteeg3723 and they are incredible musicans

But sure we all miss Lennon at the vocals. He is kind hard to replace. ; )
This is the greatest cover band I have ever heard!

Likewise at 71.
Likewise at 68!!

Blew you off so heavily you can't even do easiest punctuation. That's crazy.
One of the greatest songs writing by John...and one of the greatest performances of The Analogues...
Big shoes to fill on the bass with McCartneys lines...he nails it to the wall...beautiful...!!

well, first you need twice the musicians.
@@TheBallznweenerz Good one, right to the point. Haha! Twice excellent musicians, BTW according to my ears. And second I wonder if good sound engineers have to mix it live delicately?
Proof the Beatles were metal before anyone else.
These guys were probably the earliest to do heavy metal
I think if they had wanted to play bluesy-British hard rock like Cream, they could have.

Deep purple, around the same time as this record (abbey road), started heavy metal imo
Helter skelter was over a year earlier too

You guys are not a cover band, you are historically informed performers🎶
I’m enjoying every song with speakers on my tummy so my son can hear too❤️
these guys on stage are doing a studio quality on stage , not sure if Beatles had the same quality on stage , this guys are awesome
not doubt they were and will be

The main track was recorded at Trident.
Dit is een geval van "ik wist niet dat het op mijn bucket-list stond totdat ik het beleefde": dit nummer live horen. Zó ongelooflijk... wauw!!

The timing and layering of sound is so spot on. Can only imagine what this sounds like in person

This is a powerful song, doesn't matter who's playing it.
Amazing! I never got to see the Beatles live but if I could see the Analogues that would be so damn close!

God...that's just great!!!
Even the increasing noise as the piece comes to a close is in there. Really cool to see a live performance of this. Wish I could have been there...
