Daniel says one thing on UA-cam where he has a lot of followers, but says other things that are more extreme on other platforms. Many of the people that defend him are takfiris, hizbul tahrir and Muslim Brotherhood supporters. He associates mostly with these people and hates those that call to obeying the rulers. This is definitely not by accident. Many of the Salafis have told him he can denounce the wrongs that happen in these countries, but denouncing the rulers will only lead to hatred for them, which can easily lead to rebellion. Daniel is smart enough to realize that openly calling to revolting against the rulers will be very hard to defend and he could lose a lot of followers, so instead he tries to slither through what he thinks is a small crack. I feel like the whole talk was a desperate attempt to defend the evil rulers by abusing the Quran and the Sunnah. Islam commands the Muslims to obey the rulers as long as they rule by following the Quran and the Sunnah. No obedience if the rules order to disobey the Quran and the Sunnah. This Shiekh is saying that advice the rulers “privately” in person” only i.e., not publicly. This is not according to the Sunnah. There’s ample authentic evidence of the Sahabah publicly correcting the rulers. The current rulers we have nowadays especially in the Middle East are terrified of losing power. They employ army of “scholars” to ensure people are controlled. These “Palace Scholars” would find ways to justify anything their rulers decide to do, e.g.: 1. Mass murder of Muslim men, women and children in Yemen 2. Taking the non-Muslims as allies e.g., West and Israel 3. Opening Synagogue and Temples in the Arabian Peninsula 4. Celebrating Halloween in the land of Islam - a pagan festival which even many Christians in the West frown upon for its pagan origin 5. Concerts, cinemas in Al Ula (Madaain Saleh) the Dwellings of Saleh Many more can be added to this list (but I feel I made my point).

With all due respect to this Shiekh, he’s full of waffles. It’s all about “obey the rulers” i.e., Saudi rulers and others oppressors in the Muslim world. I feel like the whole talk was a desperate attempt to defend the evil rulers by abusing the Quran and the Sunnah.
Islam commands the Muslims to obey the rulers as long as they rule by following the Quran and the Sunnah. No obedience if the rules order to disobey the Quran and the Sunnah.
This Shiekh is saying that advice the rulers “privately” in person” only i.e., not publicly. This is not according to the Sunnah. There’s ample authentic evidence of the Sahabah publicly correcting the rulers.
The current rulers we have nowadays especially in the Middle East are terrified of losing power. They employ army of “scholars” to ensure people are controlled. These “Palace Scholars” would find ways to justify anything their rulers decide to do, e.g.:
1. Mass murder of Muslim men, women and children in Yemen
2. Taking the non-Muslims as allies e.g., West and Israel
3. Opening Synagogue and Temples in the Arabian Peninsula
4. Celebrating Halloween in the land of Islam - a pagan festival which even many Christians in the West frown upon for its pagan origin
5. Concerts, cinemas in Al Ula (Madaain Saleh) the Dwellings of Saleh
Many more can be added to this list (but I feel I made my point).

However what the “palace scholars” seem to say is that even when it is evident that the rules are not applying the Quran and the Sunnah they still refuse to come out and speak the truth against the rulers.
