We know where Billy, Michael and Sadie get their work ethics from....Mick....what a wonderful human being, Dad and Grandfather!! Hats off to you Mick!! ❤. Rick is worth his weight in gold for all of his hard work! You too Ryan!
Billy love your honesty when it comes to the running and practicality of living full time in a chateau especially when you have two young children. It’s not all easy sailing that’s what makes you all so down to earth and lovely to watch Great videos ❤❤🎉
Great vlog Billy! I understand Gwendolyn’s trouble with having toddlers and baby’s in a chateau! As a mother of 4 there is no way I could have watched them in that enormous castle!
This brought back some memories....About 40 years ago my husband, I and a friend once moved a hide-a-bed couch for and elderly couple. At the time we didn't know you were to tie down the expanding frame before moving. Needless to say, while going up a very tight stairwell it began to open up. It was one of those moments where fear and uncontrollable laughter set in as we were unable to go up or down with the incredibly heavy couch and we were becoming weaker from laughter. Somehow we got the strength to get the frame back in find some rope and continue with the move. Just watching this made me laugh again at our fiasco. Billy is much wiser...not only tied down but you took out the matteress. Genius!!
The monkey wrench originated in Worcester, Massachusetts USA. The company was called Coes Wrench Co. that evolved into Coes Knife Co. I was a clerk there, my dad was the treasurer, and many of my great uncles worked in the shop. It was always called a monkey wrench.
There is nothing Rick won’t help with. He is an absolute gem whose talent and perseverance is topped only by his lovable, congenial personality. Thanks for participating in these vlogs Rick. Hard to keep up with the likes of Billy and Ryan, but you fit right in👏🏻🤗
Tip for moving heavy or awkward objects. Put the furniture, bed, washer etc on an old blanket or on a piece of carpet turned carpet side dow (large enough for said item) and pull /push to where wanted. No scratches on wood floor, no dirty couches, nicked antique furniture or new furniture. We have moved antique furniture, woodstoves, household furniture this way with just the two of us....and I have even moved heavy furniture myself. Useful tip to remember 👍
I agree with you Billy! I watch The Muppets Christmas Carol every year before Christmas. Ever since my daughter was born 32 years ago! I’m still singing the songs when her birthday comes around on ‘the ides of March’! The best Christmas music ever! 🎄
Mine died at 37, I always dream of how it would have been to have him now that he would be in his 70s, so many years without him. My mom a widow at 34, never dated again… I begged her to, but he was the love of her life😢
Just so happens, I enjoy your opening of the sink traps, you never know what possibilities of you finding something. And may I say your channel is the best. You’re awesome, Billy.
Billy , I just wanted to say that me and my wife have been watching your videos for little over a month and love the whole crew over there in France. From the u.s we give you fellas, and fellettes much love.. ryan, Gwendolyn, Rick, Michael and Billy... crack on!
The soundtrack to a Charlie Brown Christmas is the best Christmas music. Love the channel keep up the good work Gotta say two thumbs up to Rick for always having a smile on his face. And two more thumbs up to Ryan and Billy and everyone else for making these videos they make me happy.
It has been awhile, really happy to see your Dad again. Felt comforting somehow to see Rick sweeping up in the wood shop. A second no trap advent calendar, very impressive
Yes!! Definitely Muppet Christmas Carol! Watched it every year with my kids growing up, they are 31 and 36 now. We were just saying the other day what a great music score it is!!
Sleeper sofas are the worst and usually go with the house FOR FREE...so nice to have a workshop at the chateau, very handy for all the projects...excited for the bell...AND the next drain trap...!
My thoughts on the Château boiler , would be to keep it as is for now, considering the possibility of electrical and other fuel shortages. You can burn dead wood from your forest or even scrap lumber and pallets in it if necessary. Sometimes technology gets in the way in an emergency.
When you guys were coming around the corner with the sofa bed, it brought to mind an episode of Friends when Ross was yelling Pivot Pivot Pivot! when they were struggling with sofa. Hahaha. Well done men
Billy, Ryan, Rick, and Michael my darlings. Boy! That sofa look heavy. Using the lift was a good idea. Michael did a good job with the wood. Heating the chateau takes a lot of logs. Everything seems to be going great. See ya tomorrow. Love you guys. Take care and stay safe 🍺🍺🍺🍺🙏🕊🌹🌞❤️🇺🇸😇🌈👍🎈
I’m so happy when Ryan and Billy are together again. And so good to see Michael. Such fine work you all do. And lots of talent and skill in this group. I soak up inspiration from you all and don’t get near as much done as you do! Lol.
I love watching Ryan and Sadies channels but Billy you are a natural in front of the camera - so easy to watch! Its amazing to me that most men your dads age will be sat in a chair watching telly all day - Your dad is just as vital and energetic as you young guys. Amazing.
Thank goodness, for a while I didn’t think we were going to have the 6th day of sink traps! My day would have been absolutely miserable. A good day’s work right from the beginning when Papa Petherick started the tractor, Michael and Rick planing the timber and then all hands on deck to move the lounge.
That was an interesting mix of activities at the chateau and convent with the best people!! I love to unwind after a day of working with people who work much harder than me😅. Thanks for the escape!
Billy....I am so glad to hear that eventually you and fam will move back into the Chateau. It is a marvel in itself. I appreciate all of your hard work and you letting us into your lives. Sending love to you and Gwen and the kids from Michigan...the Upper Peninsula to be exact
Nice wood.😊 Also, Ryan saves the day in numerous ways. Good work all, once again. If we are voting for Christmas tunes, I vote for Pentatonix and Andrea Bocelli. He sings with Muppets too! 😊
I think it was a smart idea moving into the guest house...its hard chasing after two babies in a chateau!❤ Glad to hear eventually you will move back in. Oh my word, sofa beds are a pain...so heavy!!! Things are moving onward..loving it ❤
Billy, when my kids were young I would play that soundtrack at Christmastime and we’d all dance around the house. I agree with you. You have the best group of family, friends, workers who have become friends surrounding you. You are truly blessed, but it’s your character that unites everyone. Your dad and mom did an amazing job raising you, Michael and Sadie. xx
I understand Gwens feelings with two little ones in a huge chateau, especially when it comes to stairs and heating. It will be wonderful to live in there when the kids are bigger and can manage the stairs and also have respect for the chateau and contents. I know when my kids were little many antiques I had purchased were ruined by them inadvertently, simply not knowing their value. Michael seems happy in the workshop and seems proficient with the tools. Not going to lie - that elevator scares me! At least you got the sofa bed up OK. I'd love to see your faces if you did find anything in a sink drain. lol 😂
I still remember walking into the dining room where I was working on sewing a quilt and discovered - to my horror - my youngest had drawn stick figures onto our dining room table (my husband’s grandparent’s dining room table!) Oh, and did I mention he did it with my seam ripper? He carved two stick figures and his name. Lesson learned.
@@digsindirt4490 The same thing happened to me. Thankfully I hadn't moved the heirloom table and chairs in. My oldest grandson was 5 or so and he carved his name in my bar table I had there just as something to have meals on while we were working on the house. Then the duo brothers got a sharpie marker. (where they found it idk) and marked all over the bottom of my newly painted living room walls. They never did it again when grandma gave them a My Eraser and soapy water and they spent the next 2 hours cleaning it off so we could repaint that wall. They are now 14 and 13. They never did that again. lol
Totally agree with Gwendolin's instincts where the boys safety and welfare are concerned. My family and I lived in a 3 story villa, with steep stairs with open railing and very young children.
Just a suggestion. Next time you move the couch/sofa or anything heave like that use a sheet, Put the item on it and use the sheet like a furniture dolly. Less risk of tearing the fabric and getting it dirty.
Your Dad is amazing and it is so nice to see him again in the video. You can see where his two sons have got their good humour and patience from dad and mom. Lovely to see Michael with the crew again you are all such lovely friends and people. Looking forward to see the bell installation. Have a great day.
I agree Billy!🎶 "Life is full of sweet surprises Everyday's a gift The sun comes up and I can feel it lift my spirit Fills me up with laughter Fills me up with song....."🎄 Thank you all for sharing your adventure! I know I can count on seeing your smiling faces and positive attitudes! 👍🤟🪡🎨
My kids are the same age and I totally understand the choice! We live in a small house but I'm still not comfortable with a kid playing upstairs while I'm downstairs. Maybe at 5 or 6 with a baby cam on.
It looks freezing outside there. I am in Florida and it was in the low ‘60’s Fahrenheit last night. But I don’t put the heat on much as I spend a lot on air conditioning in the warmer months when it was 100 F., this passed summer and fall at 10 or 11 am. So Save $ and I am with Gwen…those stairs are steep and long. And a great attraction for kids who have no fear yet. Family is so important. And precious!
Looks like Michael is really getting into carpentry. Now you can make your own frames for your artwork, even perhaps make the frame part of the art. The Celts would draw things in squares, and then have the painting extend outside the square. It is an amazing effect, and you can do it in 3D with wood. Hope that makes sense, lol. 🧡
At first, I thought Rick was carrying a couple of cushions down the stairs at the château. Then I realized it was a chair! He made it look so easy! That man is a marvel!
The craftsmanship on the wood brace for the bell is immaculate. Also little seats and sofas are definitely a pain in bum to maneuver around corners without chipping the plaster.
I think it would be fabulous if you got the bell installed and rang it on New Years Day 2023. I honestly don't think you're going to find anything in the sinks because of the drain plugs that prevent anything big going down the drain, but happy hunting anyways. LOL Thanks for sharing your day. 😀
This is so amazing, if I was their just exploring that building would of been amazing. Thank you for sharing this and letting us explore via the Internet and watch you transform this building like you have
Such a bonus seeing Mick, Billy and Michael working together. It’s easy to see where the boys get their work ethics. Billy has a great team helping him out. Can’t wait to see the bell back in the chapel as I’m sure everyone else is. Lovely to see Michael being creative again. Love the humor and Rick is more than useful 😅😅😅 excellent filming Ryan. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Watching your dad try to start the Fergie and had a giggle because here in Australia we have a product by Nulon called Start Ya Bastard 😂 (which is exactly what most people say trying to start stuff!!). 👋 🇦🇺
HELLO to you! Just found this! I live in the State of Ohio, USA. Years ago we used to have a sofa bed, and it was terribly heavy. Have a wonderful day! 🙋🤗
I fully agree with your love of "A Muppet's Christmas Carol" which is a favorite of mine. The wrench you referenced is generally called a pipe wrench in the U.S.A. Hope your Christmas was blessed and you have a healthy ad safe New Year!
Well that was different, in a good way! Good to see the Petherick men working together. The guest house is perfect for a young family, the chateau isn’t going anywhere and will make a wonderful home when the boys are older. Thanks Billy & Ryan🎄🙏🏼❤️
Yes I was thinking with small children too many step in the chateau…Billy you and Gwen have made a beautiful life for the whole very talented family and the fabulous Mo and Ryan etc…Many blessing you deserve the best from your fan in Lynsted..
I love all the team here but I must admit Rick is my favourite. So natural, you can tell he is a lovely guy with an amazing smile. You can tell a lot from someone’s eyes and smile
We used to have wood fired boilers. The fire beds of the boilers were five feet long so ALL our wood was cut to that length. Only used shorter stuff for relighting after a shutdown. Only used a fraction of the wood that way with a lot less work!
Thank goodness you can use the lift that sofa bed looked sooooo heavy. Rick must have muscles like Popeye. Lovely video of all the boys working together. Ryan's camera work is brilliant. till the next installment toodle pip xx
Another sink bites the dust. You guys need a good feed of Mac Donald's after carrying that heavy sofa bed. Great work on the wood Micheal. Glad you guys moved into the guest house, it is better for small children. So guys that Mick had the boys to help with the wood.
We know where Billy, Michael and Sadie get their work ethics from....Mick....what a wonderful human being, Dad and Grandfather!! Hats off to you Mick!! ❤. Rick is worth his weight in gold for all of his hard work! You too Ryan!
He's a good man. A real gem and very cute.
Billy love your honesty when it comes to the running and practicality of living full time in a chateau especially when you have two young children. It’s not all easy sailing that’s what makes you all so down to earth and lovely to watch Great videos ❤❤🎉
love rick's smile. lights up the room and gives me a happy heart.
Great vlog Billy! I understand Gwendolyn’s trouble with having toddlers and baby’s in a chateau! As a mother of 4 there is no way I could have watched them in that enormous castle!
Right! Even just keeping the temperature stable for a baby must be impossible.
Did you sale chau
Monkey wrench
Wonderful to see Dad and Sons working together and having a laugh! How fortunate you are to have each other! Wonderful vlogs! Thanks Ryan!

I could picture that happening. LOL
I was rolling with laughter. I could just see it in my mind. Thank you for sharing.
PIVOT!! (iykyk)
Sounds like an episode of I Love Lucy!
"Mary did you Know" is a beautiful Christmas hymn of Mary while watching her new born Son.
The monkey wrench originated in Worcester, Massachusetts USA. The company was called Coes Wrench Co. that evolved into Coes Knife Co. I was a clerk there, my dad was the treasurer, and many of my great uncles worked in the shop. It was always called a monkey wrench.

Great to see Mick and his tried and true tractor.
Micheals attention to finish on the oak for the bell is beautiful to see.

The Muppets A Christmas Carol is top tier, I watch it every Christmas though my family hates it 😂
Love seeing your dad on here. Cherish him, because mine died at 89, and Mick so reminds me of my dad.
Cindly I lost my Dad too at 85. I feel for you.
My goodness these great men leave such massive holes in our lives dont they xx
Mine died at 37, I always dream of how it would have been to have him now that he would be in his 70s, so many years without him.
My mom a widow at 34, never dated again…
I begged her to, but he was the love of her life😢

Such a blessing to be able to take this journey with you all. The Dalies have easily become one of the highlights of my day!
Your father is fab. He is an amazing person. Blessings to you all.
It has been awhile, really happy to see your Dad again. Felt comforting somehow to see Rick sweeping up in the wood shop. A second no trap advent calendar, very impressive
The skills gone into filming and editing these videos, Ryan, are pretty amazing 👏💪🤩
We had to remove the door AND the molding to get one into my 1970's home. We did get it out when we moved.
My thoughts on the Château boiler , would be to keep it as is for now, considering the possibility of electrical and other fuel shortages. You can burn dead wood from your forest or even scrap lumber and pallets in it if necessary. Sometimes technology gets in the way in an emergency.

For future reference the bed mechanism unscrews from inside sofa quite easily. Makes it so much lighter to move. Great vids! Keep it up. Thanks
I’m so happy when Ryan and Billy are together again. And so good to see Michael. Such fine work you all do. And lots of talent and skill in this group. I soak up inspiration from you all and don’t get near as much done as you do! Lol.
Michael did an excellent Billy introduction. Billy, I like your wood.🤣 And it is always a pleasure to see Rick.
You all work so well together, and I love your good humored, bantering amongst yourselves.
I love watching Ryan and Sadies channels but Billy you are a natural in front of the camera - so easy to watch! Its amazing to me that most men your dads age will be sat in a chair watching telly all day - Your dad is just as vital and energetic as you young guys. Amazing.
Good to see Mic again. Loved Michael's opening almost as good as Billy's. Good to see there is comfort coming to the Convent. Hugs
The Muppets Christmas Carol is superb, we saw it at the Albert Hall last year with a live orchestra... It was excellent!
Thank goodness, for a while I didn’t think we were going to have the 6th day of sink traps! My day would have been absolutely miserable.
A good day’s work right from the beginning when Papa Petherick started the tractor, Michael and Rick planing the timber and then all hands on deck to move the lounge.
I love seeing all the different family and friends in all the videos. I feel I’m part of the family after watching the different family channels.
That was an interesting mix of activities at the chateau and convent with the best people!! I love to unwind after a day of working with people who work much harder than me😅. Thanks for the escape!
I just noticed you have 214k subs! Awesome! Congrats for all the work you put into the team and vlogs. Thank you
I agree Billy! Muppets Christmas Carol is now a yearly ritual of the Christmas Season for me!😁❤🍻
Love your sense of humour Michael and Billy and yet you both do amazing things around the Chateau and Convent. ❤
As Billy and Rick struggled with sofa on the stairs. In my head I was yelling “PIVOT….PIVOT…”
like that Friends episode where they’re trying to move the couch😂
😂
Rick is a great guy. Very hard worker, always in a good mood, and super cooperative. You're lucky to have him.
Billy....I am so glad to hear that eventually you and fam will move back into the Chateau. It is a marvel in itself. I appreciate all of your hard work and you letting us into your lives. Sending love to you and Gwen and the kids from Michigan...the Upper Peninsula to be exact
So pretty up there!
Poor Rick he has to clean no matter where he goes. Way to go Rick👍🏻
Muppets with John Denver! The most beautiful song ever. The Peace Carol
I am really enjoying watching Rick. I'm glad he's joined your team. And he has a killer smile!
I absolutely love & adore this family and their extended "family".
Good video as always, enjoyed seeing you all working together.
Nice wood.😊 Also, Ryan saves the day in numerous ways. Good work all, once again. If we are voting for Christmas tunes, I vote for Pentatonix and Andrea Bocelli. He sings with Muppets too! 😊

So good to be seeing more of Michael lately! Merry Christmas, all!
I absolutely love all the gang but…as a newbie, Rick takes the cake! Great guy, hard worker and funny!

"Let's crack on" .. I think that's the same as "Let's do this" ... cool!!! Great job! ✌️🐾🐾🇺🇲
You are quite right about the Muppet Christmas Carol! Every member of our family has a copy of that one.
Or an upside down piece of carpet
Worth investing in furniture straps with the amount of stuff they move. Makes such a difference. I also use furniture sliders on smooth surfaces.
Merry Christmas to you and your family and all those who help with this. God bless you.

OMGosh. Muppet’s Christmas Carole is the best!!❤️
I agree Billy!🎶
"Life is full of sweet surprises
Everyday's a gift
The sun comes up and I can feel it lift my spirit
Fills me up with laughter
Fills me up with song....."🎄
Thank you all for sharing your adventure! I know I can count on seeing your smiling faces and positive attitudes! 👍🤟🪡🎨
So lovely to see such team work. The bell project is so exciting.
I agree with you Billy! The muppet’s Christmas carol soundtrack is amazing!!
the opening of the sinks every days are like a advent calendar😂
every day opening a sink and hopfully someday you find a treasure!
My kids are the same age and I totally understand the choice! We live in a small house but I'm still not comfortable with a kid playing upstairs while I'm downstairs. Maybe at 5 or 6 with a baby cam on.
Lovely to see granddad and his two lads working on storeing the wood together.
The metal bed frame pulls out of the sofa sleeper. Makes it much easier to move. 🙂
You guys are so interesting to watch and listen to! Keep your chin up, you're bound to find a treasure in one of the traps!!!!
Agreed!
"The Little Drummer Boy" is my favorite Christmas song. Great video, you guys. 😉
Rick has the best smile! These guys are a fab team. In my opinion, Vince Guaraldi's Charlie brown Christmas is the best sound track. Love that music!
At first, I thought Rick was carrying a couple of cushions down the stairs at the château. Then I realized it was a chair! He made it look so easy! That man is a marvel!
When we were watching Billy and Rick carrying the sofa into the convent I just kept hearing “Pivot!…Pivot!….Pivot!” lol ❤️🇨🇦
LOL
Thanks for sharing your day. 😀
Love watching you all do your thing and working together!!!!!!!!
I really like the way you all interact with lost of humor
This is so amazing, if I was their just exploring that building would of been amazing. Thank you for sharing this and letting us explore via the Internet and watch you transform this building like you have
Billy you know the best Xmas carol is Bing Crosby I'm dreaming of a white christmas!!!! Merry Christmas!!❤🎄😃
Thank you Billy and crew, enjoyed that, you all seem a happy lot, good to see.xx
Fun to see Michael introduce things. You are all family!
Yeah the bell is amazing and can't wait to hear it Ring i love love love bells indeed 😍 ♥️
Mick knew why he was cutting all that wood! Smart man with years of life lessons.
