- The Presidential Debates is set for Tuesday, July 26.
Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara, NTV’s Smriti Vidyarthi and Joe Ageyo, KTN’s Ken Mijungu and Eric Latiff of Spice FM and KTN News will moderate the third and final debate in readiness for the August 9, 2022 General Election.
The Presidential Debates Secretariat on Thursday said the five will steer the debate which will see Roots Party leader Prof. George Wajackoyah, Azimio La Umoja’s Raila Odinga, Agano Party’s David Mwaure and Kenya Kwanza leader William Ruto show what they have in store for the country should they get elected on August 9.

There is no other leader who is audited and subjected to such questions like Ruto and that's only because he's from a different breed, common mwananchi, unlike the existing ones and his only crime is that he's from unknown background and his father was not among the "chosen" ones.
It's high time that as common wananchi we stand for our own as they stand for one another! Only that time we can attain the respect we deserve in this country!

Moderators were great, they represented kenyans and their issues well.
However, i feel some of the Dp's answers were unsatisfying and full of dodging. Whether we were expecting different answers or not.
As his supporter, i believe he should have done better.

It seems the questions were changed and emphasis directed on interrogating the DP. This was a calculated move for the other candidates to decline stage appearance because the questions would have been synonymous to all… They knew baba would crumble or dose off😆& they cannot stand Ruto shine hence tactical questions to humiliate him were set. I have to say, this was more of a call to account for all of what he's achieved while in govt rather than an interview. I approve it though because it informs us of why we should give him another chance. I have to say he handled the matter well. So much so that the moderators had to keep moving on since his answers were well articulated

The interviewers came to do a hatchet job and largely had their way over the 90 minutes. I suspect, though, that most Kenyans saw right through the entire charade.
The moderators were pathetic in my honest opinion. They dwelled so much on the past and we all wanted to hear what the manifesto has for our future...it appeared their objective was to grill/interrogate the DP rather than to allow him debate the issues

Raila’s plan not to appear was a well thought strategy,in my opinion in most cases the DP was pushed to the wall regarding some questions he was not able to answer about his manifesto…secondly we all know this is a strategy that started in 2017 when railA himself appeared alone in then debate (history repeating itself) after that we know the outcome of the elections then …I tend to think that it’s actually a wise strategy to let an opponent who is over confident and high tempered like ruto to take the podium alone (not forgetting railA can do well in such situations,he’s always composed) but we can’t rule out the fact that…what if he appeared and faced ruto…then it would be a tough battle I agree .anyway I hope Kenyans make the right decision and vote peacefully…PEACE 2022💯🇰🇪FRESHI BARIDA
