This is the effect Metal Music has on me. I'm like "Am I the only one around here that can hear how shite this pish is?" But everyone loves metal music and talks about how great it is. But it's terrible haha.
@@childofthesun32 what metal have you listened to? If you got to an amateur death metal band performing live for the 1st time it's not likely to be as easy to appreciate as say... listening to Metallica's Black Album on a sound system you know...
@@ReadyMindsetGo I wasn't meaning Metallica, I know that they're one of the first metal bands, but I think of them mostly as Hard Rock now, same with Black Sabbath. You know what I actually really like this. It's really abstract and somehow uneasy with the way it presents itself. If the song is called Pop is Dead it makes so much sense, it's probably representing the quality of contemporary-pop within the eyes and ears of Thom Yorke. The haunting voice of his is really beautiful too. It's just very abstract and weird in the way it presents itself, disoriented, broken, yet haunting.
This song is so unbelievable. The beautiful chords in the middle, the chaotic playing of the piano (most likely Thom's place of mind), and the amazingly distant vocals. The industrial drumbeat clashing with the somber and dreadful piano could be a symbolization of something like nature and industrialization of society clashing together. Truly a musical genius.
Thanks Anthony Fantano. I agree that his avant garde approach to songwriting is definitely underappreciated. He's always been so experimental with his sound.

*it's objectively good, you just don't understand it*
Many people who say they’re bad actually don’t understand it though, it’s like saying The Beatles or Pink Floyd is bad… Which is just as untrue
