Hi Sovic. I used an embedded system called 'Texuino'. I then developed an android app to communicate with the embedded system firmware. The only downside so far is that there is no nonce challenge set up between the app and the embedded system so potential security risk there however i am in the process of rewriting the firmware to incorporate such a feature.

@@St3f4N101 anyhing open source mate? I want to use my phone to start my engine which will be ideal for when I want to have a warmed up engine in the cold mornings so I can just blast the heaters when the engine temperature has been heated enough. I have audi a4 b8

@@ChaseEverything What module are you planning to use? You will need to wire some sort of relay hub inside the car. The one i am using here is called 'Texuino'. You will need to be quite technically competent if you want to attempt this otherwise you could just opt for an off the shelf solution like the 'viper smartstart' one

@@St3f4N101 I want to start the engine without being inside the car and honk horn without being inside. What would you suggest and I'm a novice but if i watch tutorials I can get the hang of it. I wired a train horn in to my 2008 hyundai coupe siii if that's any good lol

@@St3f4N101 from what I have seen viper smart start also needs to be installed as a module aswell. I have an Elm327 obd2 tool. Isn't there anything that will send a command to the car telling it to start?
