This was super useful. While applying this, using the "period" button to slowly move the video forward, I found it was really easy to do that while using the arrow buttons to move the blur (rather than using the mouse). Made it very quick to produce the moving blur in line with the element to be blurred. Thanks!
You know, I regard myself to be pretty knowledgeable with regards to Camtasia. I have animated lots of things using it, but the details of doing it frame by frame as Jewel shows here have eluded me for some reason. Thank you Jewel! I now have some more in my arsenal of techniques :-).
Excellent! Thank you. I was looking for a way to "chase" around the sensitive information on a screen recording, and this is how you do it. Very useful.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! This is the first time I've had to blur something in my video that was moving. And it was I - me, myself, & I - who kept moving a box that had a sticker on it with my address. I had removed the main/big sticker with the address but didn't notice the second smaller sticker until my video was complete and uploaded (scheduled) to YT. Yikes. Pressing the period key on the keyboard was the "key" to doing this successfully. I had Camtasia running in one monitor and my earlier produced video in the other monitor.
Excelente, muchas gracias!!!!! Me estaba volviendo loco con esto!!!
Game changer. Thank you Jewel! 🎂
Thank you very much. Literally, you made my day. I used to do it manually; this trick (using animation) saves e lot of time.
Extremely helpful, thank you Jewel! 💯🎉👨🏼💻
This tutorial really enabled me to address this nagging issue I, and I know many others have had Thank You Jewel, great stuff!
after long hours of searching.. thank you

Thank you for the tip!
thank you very much. that's very helpful for me!!!!
Thanks. This helped as I've had Camtasia for years but need to now blur out things when I do certain UA-cam uploads (license plate numbers, etc.). :)
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this helpful video.
Is there a way to move the video on half a second or even one second for each press of the period key, so that it moves more than just one frame at a time
thankyou so much for this
Thank you very much, very helpful, will apply it to my video too.
Thank you!
I'm running the latest 2020 version. It doesn't seem to drop a keyframe, when I move the blur. I'm I missing a step or am I doing something wrong?
Same problem here
@@nadergalo4317 It looks like you can drop multiple custom animation arrows onto an item in your timeline which will essentially look the same as hers. Not ideal but it is a functional workaround.
Thanks so much for this, been annoying me for sooooo long!
Best explained moving blur tutorial.
thank you very mush

Nice tutorial! btw you are very pretty.
How to i make the blur around a person's body not rectangle?. So match the shape of the head and shoulders.
Hi, I have a question, how can I make an oval blur that follows a moving object?
what's the period button? Is it something in camtasia or keyboard? are you talking about dot?
you are the best
This doesn't seem to work for Camtasia 2022 for Mac.
when I move my blurr it doesn't cut the animation up like yours
did you ever figure it out?
Gerardo Penaloza guess it is not a Mac feature yet
Same experience here… I wonder if there’s any update.

Thanks for the video. That helped me! Just one thing: Can you use something more inclusive than "Hi guys, and you guys". I feel that I am not the only one who does not feel included. Thank you.
