While this launcher can be a little messy, recent updates have improved the look and customisation options. The Oppo Find X2 Pro (as well as the standard model) offers easy one-handed use and Android 10 perks like a dark mode, gesture navigation and boosted privacy features. These tips will guide you through some of my favourite options and settings and give you a feel for this premium mobile. This certainly feels like one of the greatest Android flagships of 2020, with smarter tech than Samsung's S20 handsets.

Got the Oppo X2 Pro yesterday... Beautiful phone... No issues thus far... But as for the OS... I like it a lot... I would however suggest a couple of things for the next update... Firstly, that app draw looks ugly... Please sort it.. Maybe add a 'hide app' option.... Also a 'sort' option for a-z or recently added... That would be great... Also the settings menu is far to dense.... Looks lovely and great customisation options but I still think it has way too many options... This needs to be stripped back a bit and maybe group some together rather than having a million different things to look through... Apart from that, I'm very happy with it... Nice upgrade from the Huawei P20 Pro I got 2 yrs back...
Just wanted to recommend trying Casualis as a wallpaper changer. I thoroughly enjoy the app unpaid though paid does add useful but unnecessary features

where do you find your wallpapers? I see a bunch of neat ones in your videos. I couldn't find that steins gate one anywhere online either
I have been using gestures for over a year now and would never want to go back to a navigation bar. It's the best solution for a large phone screen. Combined with Nova Launcher's double tap (for my Google) and two finger swipe (for my music), the home screen is less cluttered. Stock icons are just depressing to me now.
Definitely, my instinct these days is to swipe to go back etc, so a nav bar just feels clunky

Got my oppo find X2 today, have to say the display is fantastic, audio is brilliant and the camera quality is phenomenal! The speed too! Corr! The design of colour OS 7 in comparison to 6 is great. They have really listened and the quality of the OS feels premium. I've only had this phone for 6 hours though, so this is my first personal review.. only cons at the moment is the haptic feedback is a little weird. Along with when I unboxed the phone the screen protector was installed awkwardly so I had to remove it. Only small little cons so far and they are quite picky. All in all, I can't flaw it yet.
Just wondering now a couple of months has passed , have you had any security/software updates ?
@@mikldude9376 A few days after I got the phone I did notice that for some reason call quality was a little off. However an update later in June it did sort that out. Other than that I did have an update on July fixing some bugs.
That's pretty much it. Bare in mind I have just the X2 not the Pro
@@ollie2459 - hello mate. Just wondering what the battery life was like for you. Would you say it was easily an all day battery?
I'm seeing very mixed reviews about it, some say they get a full day's use out of it up until bedtime, but others are saying that they charge it at least twice a day and they're only a light to mid use user.

@@Its_A_London_Thing heyia mate! Yeah the battery is becoming a problem. When i start my day at 8am with a little use of Spotify, texting and occasional social media - I'll have 40% by 1pm... However, some days I'll do the same and the battery will last all day. Seems to have a mind of its own.
@@Its_A_London_Thing However today for instance I was up and out by 7 been using Spotify, locations & maps, FHD 120hz mode, UA-cam, Instagram and it's 12.15 now - I have 80%.
Seems bizzare how the battery one day plummets and another day with more use it's fine...

Does it have the "accidental touch protection" feature as seen on Samsung phones? It uses the proximity and light sensor to disable touch input when its in your pocket (never found it reliable on Samsung tho).

How can you change the writing art?
Why does my quick settings swipe down menu look so different with that weird grey fade, how can I get this single colour option? Is it just colour OS 7.1?
If they are the same size phone's can they use the same size phone case?
My notification bar looks completely grey whenever i turn dark mode on in findx2 whereas yours looks completely black.
Hopefully I'm not getting my hopes up too soon, but according to the AOD at 6:23 - it looks like the people behind Color OS 7.1 are finally sorting out displaying of notifications when the screen is in either lock mode or AOD mode. I briefly owned the Oppo Reno last year but ending up sending it back after getting that fed up with Color OS 6 and it's inability to display anything other than the clock when the screen was either in lock mode and AOD mode. Really like Oppo phones for what they are and what they feature, and very much wanted one to be a keeper but always a big let down up until now because of Color OS.
Yep, you get icons in the AOD to show you what's pinged in since you last unlocked, so you know if it's worth your time checking it out :)

The biggest issue I have with the personalisation is the chaos of the accent colours.

Although its snapdragon over exynos for me any day, besides that faux leather back means increased durability.....the only issue is price....they didn't really differentiate from samsung....they could have dented samsung & OnePlus sales if this phone (pro verion) had come in at $899 and the regular at $700. They would have shipped more units which would have made up for the lower price.
RCS messaging...? Ability to change the launcher and messaging app to your desired choice...?
Obviously you can do that with every android phone
@@slonky821 not every, but almost. A lot of Oppo devices and a few others, don't allow users to change their stock launcher or messaging app.

Offers 'swipe up gestures' - the old school nav gestures used until recently, rather than the swipe from the side to go back, swipe and hold to open recent apps, effort.
