    So this time I use the tiny Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32 to navigate Ableton, preview, load and play virtual instruments. This is not supposed to be full tutorial, but rather a beatmaking video and a demonstration of the keyboard's playability.
    But let me know if you have any questions on using the keyboard. The functions are basically the same as the Komplete Kontrol A25 A49 A61.

    You don’t have to hit record with Ableton 10. Just play, when you play something you like Ableton remembers what you just played. It’s an awesome new feature in 10

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  5 років тому +3

      That’s true, however the Capture feature only remembers the last 16 bars you played, and it only works for midi and not for audio recording. So hitting record is still not obsolete.

    Thanks for the tutorial! I am very new to everything in this video (M32, Komplete Kontrol, All instrument plug ins and Ableton Live) but found this tutorial really easy to follow :) Few basic questions if you see this -- 1. which synth did you end up using for the recording starting from 4:58 ish? (the one you tried finding using preset buttons) 2. also I found any tracks that I record get overwritten by new instruments i choose as I don't know how to save the recorded track and create new one to overlay on top of it. Should be able to control on M32 as you don't use mouse at all - how do you do this? Sorry for the super rookie questions but thank again for your awesome lesson!

      @@angelolovato6739 You can't set buffer size for a plugin, just the buffer size of the DAW. I use Ableton Live and you can have only one project open at a time. Btw 64 buffer is very low and prone to cpu issues, so you may try higher values. I think it mostly depends on which plugins you're using in KK and how powerful your CPU is. RAM is only a problem with huge sample libraries.

    KOMPLETE KONTROL software is absolute garbage !
    I am stuck for about a week not able to use the software at all (as I have endless problems either with plugins or content libraries).
    Every time I open Native Access it goes out of the screen. Many interfaces opened in Kontakt on my 4K screen are completely unreadable (to small to blurry). Support ticket wizard is the worst thing I have seen in my entire life. No way to track tickets directly through the site. Now way to register/unregister single products from KOMPLETE and Native Access interface (which BTW endlessly keeps asking for an update). Major features which users ask for years are not added. Upgrade policy sucks - meaning - if you purchased a single product from NI and not it is part of the KOMPLETE suite they want you to pay for it twice and you end up with 2 licenses and SN). You will not get a refund or discount.
    NI support replies about every 3rd day so after a week they asked few dozens of questions and no help, no resolution, no nothing. I paid in last 5 years $5k+ for their hardware and software and it was the worst musical decision of my life. While the 3rd party libraries and sounds are mostly OK or even excellent, everything else about this company simply sucks. I would never buy any NI products again nor recommend it to a friend. I really wish that one day Kontakt is replaced with some "real software" by some other competitive company. Perhaps the reason that this company is so bad is that they have grown so big and they believe there is no competition for NKS and alike.
    The bottom line is: when it works it is OK (jut ok but not god) but when even small problems arise you are on your own and you waste tons of time and energy. Not worth the price.

    Hey, thanks a lot for the video! Really helpful. Beginner question: Do the M32's knobs correspond to the Monark VST's knobs because it's both Native Instruments? Or does for example the Launchpad Mini MK3's knobs do the same thing?

      Yeah, you can control any NKS enabled VST with the knobs, not just the Native ones
