Greetings from Northeastern Alberta just finished getting my rx 73 running hasn't ran since 07 runs an cuts awesome they made rx 63 to rx 95 in this series
When I was a intern at Kibble Equipment John Deere a rx75 was the first thing they made me fix. Replaced the little brake pads and readjusted the spring so the clutch would actually work and away she went. Nice machine!
Lift your seat you will see 3 bolts in a row the middle one will be 1" 1/8 loose the 3 nuts that are 1/2" then turn the big nut to adjust the deck same on left hand side close to the front will be another adjustment like under the seat hope this helps someone out con only lift or lower front or back of deck the wheels some what adjust it side to side just did mine last night cuts as level as you will get
Glad to see someone correctly shitting down the mower… always drop the throttle to lowest setting before shitting off. You will do the engine a favor instead of suddenly shutting off in high gear
Hey Mister! This video was cool!! Thank God i find your channel! I have just buyed one today from a friend of mine. Same type, RX75. I have never owned this kind of tractor in my life. Can you tell me what viscosity of oil should be used in the engine?
@@ontariotube i will check it, promise. 🙂Thanks again. You have a great knowledge for making a usefull channel for these mechanical things. God bless you. Greetings from the other side of the world... Hungary, middle Europe.

Just picked one of these up as my first ever riding mower. Super helpful video. Thanks!
You're Welcome
Rear engine riders are great. Too bad no one really makes them any more.
I just received one of these for free yesterday. I'm gonna run it today.

Any tips on changing the spark plug? No room to work with a ratchet unless you remove the chassis I'm assuming.
I think the RX75 is in fact the smallest mower made by JD - what a cool machine. (Referring to the video description)

The manual says John Deere Torque-Gard Supreme "SAE 30" for warm weather.
@ontariotube Thanks a lot Sir! 80W-90 oil whould be good for the transmission under the body? What is your opinion?
@@RudolfDiesel86 Yes. 80W90 is shown on a receipt I have for the transaxle rebuild.

@@RudolfDiesel86 The transmissions in these don't use oil. They have a bentonite grease in them from factory.
Thanks too much fun
I had that mower - it was awful.
What's awful about it?
75 hp!!...lmao!.....its 9hp...
I trust you detect my dry sense of humor.. ;)
@@ontariotubeI think maybe not. My favorite was the safety switch you were “maybe” going to fix.
