I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my password. I love any help you can offer me.
We sure do! First, you can reference the percentage guide for each fragrance located at the bottom of each fragrances page. It will list out the 10% for perfume, candles, soaps etc. And then you can use the oz fill of your base and plug in here to find the % in oz. makesy.com/pages/fragrance-percentage-chart
This was great! What would be the difference in making a perfume versus a cologne? There are a few scents I love from you guys that would be great for men.
Hi, can I make my perfume with a carrier oil instead of alcohol? also in one of your videos how to make a reed diffuser you use witch hazel. Can it be used for perfumes as well? Last for linen spray what do you recommend the best? your sugarcane alcohol or witch hazel?
Yes you can! It's very common. And yes you can make a witch hazel + alcohol room spray/body spray! We recommend the witch hazel one for linen sprays as well. You can learn more here: ua-cam.com/video/y7A9CFNhcAc/v-deo.html
Any chance you might do a video on making SOLID colognes & perfumes? I've got several recipes, and some I really like I think, but I've never quite matched some of my favorites from places like Fulton & Roark and such. Thanks in advance!
If I want to combine 2 different fragrance oils for a perfume (let’s say one IFRA limit is 50% and the other is 25%) would I be able to use both or would this mixture have to be rerated for an all new IFRA skin limit?
Hi Wooden Wick! I purchased your cane alcohol for perfume making about 2 months ago from Amazon. Will you guys be coming back to Amazon? and also I was wondering is it possible to add glycerin and or witch hazel for skin conditioning properties to your perfumes? If so what would be the percentages of those items? Thank you so much! I absolutely love your channel and products! ❤️
Hi there! Yes we hope to be back on Amazon soon :) You can purchase from woodenwick.com as well! Yes you can add Glycerin! 2-5% normally is quite moisturizing. Witch Hazel would normally be added more so in a body spray formula, but you could use it in a perfume as well. It may cloud the formula, which if so, you can add the fragrance to Polysorbate-20 first to solubilize it. Hope this helps!
I’ve been having trouble with my Soy candles. When I lit them and they’ve been lit for a few minutes the wax will melt and drown out the wick. And when I say a few minutes I mean a few minutes! I’m goin nutz here LOL
Sounds like it could be two different thinks. You may need to wick up (Crackling Booster .04 is the best for soy!) or you may need to trim the wick a bit closer to the surface of your wax. We suggest .2" above the surface. :)
Some alcohols can be irritating to the skin or have a pungent smell. We suggest using our Organic Sugarcane Alcohol or a perfumers alcohol for best results!
I'm no professional but based on my basic chemistry knowledge I would say no. Your typical fragrance oil doesn't really have anything in it that would go rancid, and essential oil, as long as it's kept properly is fine.
For room sprays you only need to use 3-6% fragrance load, although you could use up to 10. We also suggest using our Organic + Wildcrafted Witch Hazel as the base for that blend!
Check each fragrance you plan to use for it's maximum safety levels! At woodenwick.com, you can view this on each fragrance product page under "More Details". Select the IFRA Data Sheet to view each application type.
@@bettinaterramani1005 Gotcha!!! Thank you You make it so clear But where can I secure that type of alcohol what's it's chemical name, Can we also make it a water base type. One last request mam can you send your answer to my account , Benny Cuarez. Thank you so much.
Don’t order from this company! This video was super fun to watch and made me want to order some stuff but now I’m just discouraged because you charged my account for something you didn’t have in stock! I would like to be refunded for the items you don’t have and get everything else shipped please!!!!
Hi Berryhill! We are so sorry to hear about any frustrations. We would be happy to help you! Please let us know your order number so that we have a way to contact you.
I've been watching all your vids BUT this one has the music way too loud for your voice. Just a note.
MRG PRO I agree
I absolutely love this. By far the simplest breakdown I’ve seen so far
Can you guys do a room spray video please
This is the easiest DIY perfume I have ever seen. It made me want to make my perfume now
This is a game changer! Opens up so many avenues. Thx Charlotte for sharing 💞
Absolutely!!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost my password. I love any help you can offer me.
For your room sprays do you use the same ratio?
It's hard for me to calculate the percentages. Do you have a fragrance calculator on makesy page?

Good question! Same as for a perfume, but obviously with more masculine scents. Best of luck, thank you Melissa!
Thanks for the video!
I wonder if it is ok to use this spray on skin?
Yes of course!
It’s perfume! 😂
Thank you but the music is louder than it should be

Love this idea! We will input it in the video shoot for our next round of videos. :)
Hi what’s the difference?
Yes. Beeswax with combination of soy wax. I love having solid perfumes
Thank you. How long will the perfume last with the natural alcohol; what about with the witch hazel?
It varies based on fragrance load and person to person! But it is best with the Sugarcane Alcohol!
Or use ever clear
Are Cedar wood oil will compliment in Coco oil? Miss Beautiful, Is it allowed to do it or not?
Can the organic sugarcane alcohol also be used to make room and linen sprays?
Yes! Just be mindful that the smell won't linger the same way due to the alcohol's evaporation.
If I want to combine 2 different fragrance oils for a perfume (let’s say one IFRA limit is 50% and the other is 25%) would I be able to use both or would this mixture have to be rerated for an all new IFRA skin limit?
Good Question
Just do 20-25% total because it’s in between both IFRAs. Always use the middle limit when mixing

How long to let it age ? So that oils blend with alcohol, or can we use it immediately
She said in the video you can use it as soon as you’re finished !

Great video. Can I ask, will the oil and the alcohol not separate when left to stand in the bottle?
No, but make sure its 96% alcohol

this turtorial is the same if i want to make a room-spary?
For Room Sprays we suggest using 3-6% fragrance load, but you can use up to 10%. Use with our Organic + Wildcrafted Witch Hazel!
So no water needs to be added ?
so inspiring and beautiful! the music was way too loud and repetitive though, got overwhelming
Noted! Thank you for your feedback :) Always appreciated here!
Can you use any alcohol or does it just work with your brand? Also does the perfume have to sit for a while before use?
Some alcohols can be irritating to the skin or have a pungent smell. We suggest using our Organic Sugarcane Alcohol or a perfumers alcohol for best results!
Do I need a preservative? If I do which preservative would I need for a perfume?
I'm no professional but based on my basic chemistry knowledge I would say no. Your typical fragrance oil doesn't really have anything in it that would go rancid, and essential oil, as long as it's kept properly is fine.
Can all of your fragrance oils be used for both perfume and candles?
Yes of course!
I bought this kit from you guys and the alcohol was overwhelming and over powered the scent. How can I get rid of that alcohol smell in the spray?
Hey there! Which kit did you buy? Also wanted to confirm you are smelling it when sprayed, not straight out of the bottle. :)
Have you ever made a perfume with IRIS Absolute - 75% in 25% please and if so could you provide some advice? Thank you in advance.
Hi! do these sprays need maceration before using?
I Can I Use This To Make For Baby Mist Perfumes?
The fragrance and the alcohol wont mix together they keep separating, even though i have stirred them for more than 2 minutes! please help!
I saw another video and they used 94/95% of alcohol and the fragrance amd alcohol mix well
Can you use any of the other bases to make perfumes?
The others can be used for body sprays but for perfume, only the Organic Sugarcane Alcohol would be suitable!
Can I use a perfume that I feelcdoesnt last and add fragrance oil to it?
Will this separate or become cloudy in a clear bottle?
It's possible, but you can use Polysorbate-20 to fix the seperation and cloudy-ness!
I have 10 amber 2oz bottles to make perfumes with. So should I do 1oz alcohol and 1oz FO or 1.5 to .5?
Hi Keesha! I would suggest 1.5 to .5 :)
@@makesyofficial thank you doll 🤍
I thought you mixed the fragrance oil with another oil?
Hi! All thats needed is fragrance oil and a perfumer base such as our perfumers alcohol or organic sugarcane alcohol :)
Can I add distilled water to this recipe?
Yes, absolutely.
@@makesyofficial what would be the right amount of distilled water for a 4 oz ounce bottle ?
Love the video, but it's hard to hear what you are saying with the music.
Sorry about that! :) Shouldn't be an issue with our new content.
Can you use 99% isopropyl alcohol with this? Thanks 👍
We've never tried it! If you do, please let us know how it goes :)
Love this.💜
Hi are the scents long lasting
Yes :)
Hello
Can I add fixative yo make it last longer
Yes you can use polysorbate 80 to increase the shelf life and solubalize the fragrance :)
Please can you tell me how to prepare body mist
Check out our video here! ua-cam.com/video/y7A9CFNhcAc/v-deo.html
Can this formula also be used for linen sprays?
We recommend using Witch Hazel as your base :) Check out this video ua-cam.com/video/y7A9CFNhcAc/v-deo.html
Do you use this same recipe for room sprays?
For room sprays you only need to use 3-6% fragrance load, although you could use up to 10. We also suggest using our Organic + Wildcrafted Witch Hazel as the base for that blend!
What’s the difference between this base and the perfume base?
Hi Mrs. Bee! Actually the perfume base would work just the same. It's just personal preference!
All of your fragrance oils can be used on skin?
Most can! Check the details section of each fragrance for its usage levels 😊
Is the alcohol diluted with distilled water or left pure?
It is pure alcohol!
Where did you get the scale from?
woodenwick.com/candle-making-supplies/essential-supplies/digital-scale :)
Is this denatured alcohol??
What if I want genetically-modified-sugarcane alcohol?
We unfortunately do not sell genetically modified sugarcane alcohol!
What if the of choice fragrance oil only has a max load of 15%?
Then you use whatever the max load is :)
Do you guys have room spray tutorials / ingredients I can purchase ?
For room sprays we suggest using our Organic + Wildcrafted Witch Hazel base with 3-6% fragrance! :) Otherwise it is the same steps as perfume making.
@@makesyofficial Hello , is it greasy? i have used AUGEO for room spray and it is greasy. thanks

How long do these perfumes last?
Typically, perfumes last 4-5 hours depending the fragrance and concentration you use. :)
Hi! What about body oils? 🥰
We will add this to our list to make a tutorial video on! Thank you!
Can normal isopropyl alcohol be used ..?
We would not recommend it as it can alter the smell of the fragrance.

You need a carrier like propylene glycol otherwise your fragrance isn't gonna last for shit.
This particular video is for making a more natural spray. Our favorite preservative is a little bit of polysorbate 40
Why not just mix in the perfume bottle to begin with?
You could if you were just making a single bottle!

An emulsifier is not needed since we are just blending alcohol and fragrance. :)
