Your going to have to keep them now phill its a no brainer😉 and definitely you should use them with the grouper for the holecrop be much faster and interesting to see if there be any loss of grain
@@hughcarrigan7824 I cut mine with a 10ft mower conditioner a earlier then phills crop but there was still some loss under the row but nothing worth talking about was fair glad to have it done before that rain all weekend
Great vid Phil and good honest review How long did it to knock that 38 acres remember back in the late eighty's cutting 40 acres with a Massey Ferguson 165 and 188 with 2 five foot 6 mowers was a big job only butterflies in the fields them times were flying 🤣🤣🤣
Low levels of N means your crop stresses quickly so in an attempt to stay alive, the plant sends up a stem with a seedhead to reproduce if the main plant dies. This i see is going to be a huge disadvantage of using lower notrogen levels going forward as quality will suffer drastically. Organic lads will say that in time clover will fix N so thats how they keep quality in a sward. If you have a chance in a field apply extra N on a few runs and see which part will grow better quality, and then try put figures on the N savings, the lower yields and subsequently the lower performance of livestock from lower quality feed! Great videos as always, but one needs more hp to drive them butterflies!!
Hey buddy Loved the drone action and music firstly Thought your review was honest and thoughtful I used to run a TM190 with super steer. If you haven’t used/tried super steer with a front mower it’s hard to explain but it seeing is believing. On the back I had two 2.5mtrs mowers under one frame on the right side.Total width was 8 mtrs. I was a Krone guy and while Krone are more expensive they are worth every cent. Groupers are a waste of time, money and weight! Keep ‘em coming mate and if possible can you tell the Irish rugby team to move on with the NZ test series win😂😂😂😂
I'm telling you Phil,a nicely worded letter to Santa. 😉 It's serious kit and fantastic you got such use out of them,I really hope you can gather the cash you need to make them your own. 👍🍀
Great video Phil.savage amount of ground cut in over 2 hours.ur some mover in fairness.i have a feeling u have the maths done in ur head and the mowers will be staying put.clear out under the mattress😂🤣😅.u might give a shout out to my daughter on a video cause I'm been asked did farmer phil say hello to me.her name is chloe naughton from kinvara County galway.thanks Phil.keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
Hello to our favourite farmers in the world after a busy hot day we think your all wonderful so we’re going to settle down with Farmers Phil and family.Good luck and GodBless. We love Ireland 🇮🇪
Maybe you should drop the front mower off and swap with the Kuhn to see how the back pair work with a narrower mower. If it’s good then go away and buy the rear set only without groupers. That’d cheapen the job.
if your still struggling to get insurance I would try getting in touch with some local tractor clubs, they will often have their own insurance for hosting events like working days
I hope you do well with the cattle sales and with any luck diesel prices come down a bit (wishful thinking on the diesel part). And with the time savings if you do get them next year your father will have plenty jobs lined up for you with all that extra time on your hands 😂
Hi Phil Liv and family your vids are great no matter what job your doing keep em coming, dont despair Phil about about your vintage field show something is in the offing that will alter this crazy world and let us live a good life whatever we choose to do cant explain further other this would be the longest comment in history just to say it's not far off things will change for the better in every level of life for the Good so hang on and bate on all the best
Mighty mowers grouper 8s handy in dry year on insurance we run tractor run out of yard here I ask about insurance they told me once you have public liability on farm I was covered
Great video Phil , would it be cheaper/cost effective to buy a second hand big m like what Drew’s farming life in Scotland has , given the acres you’d cover in year
A self propelled machine that sits 8-9 months of the year in a shed vs a tractor that works all year round and the mowers sit in the shed? The tractor would be the wise man's choice
The Samasz has impressed me, from what I have seen before these mowers actually looks like they are made very well, I have seen some older Samasz mowers without the conditioners and very "fragile" looking :) Would love a butterfly outfit myself, but not sure yet what to go for, new Samasz or maybe an older Kverneland or Claas :)
Farmer phil non brainer keep them contracted grass cutting!@@!!! LOL what is the name of the band that song running outta time??? 6499 the beast!!@!! Bate on.....
Hi Phil, Sorry to hear about the vintage silage day being cancelled over insurance. Not sure if its applicable to yourselves but if the people that wanted to go and watch the day were to be remained in a vehicle like a bus or something would the bus insurance not be used instead of public liability insurance? Again I'm no expert on these sort of thing so research will be needed. Either way I hope things work out will for yous.
Shame about the vintage harvest day. Looking forward to meeting you and father Phil at the harvest day in Cork next week. Should be a great day as long as the weather plays ball 👌
Hey Phil, fab video as always. What a great piece of kit those mowers are. You need to get the cheque book out. hopefully we will see them again next year. keep up the good work. 👍
Reason for the seed heads is because of drought - the grass becomes stressed due to lack of water and heads out as a means of survival
Your going to have to keep them now phill its a no brainer😉 and definitely you should use them with the grouper for the holecrop be much faster and interesting to see if there be any loss of grain
I'd think you need to cut early with the mower ore else you'd lose a lot of grain.
I always cut with mowers.it cuts lower and the conditioner needs . to run at.low speed to reduce Grain loss but you will have grain loss!

@@bloke755 oh Jesus ya it took a swart and a half really speed the job up🤣
Lovely video.Good critique on mowers. The stemmy grass possibly a result of reduced fertilizer and the dry conditions.

Good man I like the setup and the job that the moors done it is a good job and the Massey has some power to run them moors 🥵🥵👌👌💪💪💪💪😎
Cheers for the mention Phil I was the young lad that landed with the box
Great Video Phil!! And great job remembering to do the two intros so close together😅 could see uncle Ian pushing the wholecrop in the background👍👍👍😁

wil not work the space between the back mowers is 3meters

Alot of people over in nz groupe the wholecrop then just pick it up with normal grass header
Would I not loose a lot of heads?

If you are doing a lot of contract work for others then I whould say keep them but if only doing your own bits then no.

I think the lads have enough hardship without one of those around the place.
A self propelled machine that sits 8-9 months of the year in a shed vs a tractor that works all year round and the mowers sit in the shed? The tractor would be the wise man's choice
You’d need to be cutting a hell of a lot of acres to justify a big M. Several thousand.

Great review Phil...hope Santa comes early and you can keep them...
Some great footage there. Thank you
A lot of second cuts seem to be like that, consequence of a long dry spell i think.
Can imagine the hot weather had a lot to do with the stem seemed to put a lot of grass under pressure
Great video phil great review
no manure Phill
Lovely outfit and very well presented
700 acres later and you still can't afford the deposit on the mowers. An awful lad for crying you have no 💰💲🤑💸. 🤔🤪
Class video again Phil 👍
Grass,short, stress of some sort
Its amazing how every inch of the mower is used, very nice 👌
Nice
Ah no, was really hoping the vintage silage day would happen this year. Pricks of insurance companies....
Great video Phil
Cracking video Phil!! Best mowing video I’ve seen all season 👏🏻👏🏻😍😍 please keep the mowers their used now so they be going for a song 🤔😂
Amazing video, superb explanation into how those mowers work and your costs and time, plus well done for controlling 3 mowers and a drone, top job.

Excellent video.
Thank you for the walk around machine and explain what the nuts n bolts off the mowers. Great information.
Get the auld lad to spend the money. Its only dear the day you buy. Saving time is money well spent. Another great video btw.
Great looking job them mowers do Father Phil will have to get the cheque book out or you could ask santa for them phil Christmas is coming.
id go with groupers phil,u get a catchy year weather wise alot of farmers want it dropped in 30s and lifted, cant rely on irish weather 😂
great vidioe phil the samasz mowers are the right mowers for you👍(also you missed a couple of bits lol)
There's no moisture in the soil might be a bit short also on nitrogen, reason for poor growth
The mowers are fast they should turn a profit in your AG business money in the bank.
You’ll have to sell the 3690 Phil the mowers make more sense
Hi Phil keep the grouper u should try u fusion in light crop in 30ft row u be surprised
Nice video Phil that's s fine mowing outfit what do the triple retail at approx.
What a great job the mower did Phil will you keep them 👍👍😂😂🤣🤣
