I remember 2 years ago watching him in summer league and thought to myself he got to make the team. Because that year Heat did not have any draft picks so Dunc was the only rookie that made the team. Even though he did not play that much that season he and Wade came off the bench for the Heat and had a great chemistry right away. His stardom was highly anticipated. So Happy.

Duncan Robinson is one of the amazing results of the three point era. Amazing video and analysis. But this actually heightens how much of a threat Golden State is. If Duncan Robinson feels dangerous when discussed in this video, just imagine how much more terrifying Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are. Plus, those two are on the same team. Can't wait to see Duncan match up against the duo next season.

The real work begins for Robinson because now he's a known 3 point assassin.
I'd be super curious to see stats for (average possession time : average points generated per possession) -- Duncan could hold the ball for all of 10 seconds in a game and have 12 points!
You can't improve from being poor to being excellent, only to being decent. You just don't have the tools to do it. Improving to being decent on D does not make someone a 3& D.

Klay had 60 points with only 11 dribbles, as well as the NBA record holder for making 14 3s in a game. He is the definition of a catch-and-shoot player. Duncan Robinson is really good, but he basically is a cheap Klay that nobody knew about. That's why last season people didn't defend him properly. This season teams have figured him out. As far as I remember, last time Klay played before he got injured, he's still shooting 40%+ even with defenders on his face. Oh and don't forget that Klay is a really good defender, one of the best 2-way / 3-and-D players in the NBA. Also, Klay has 3 rings with very impressive clutch playoff performances (Game 6 Klay), while Duncan has 0. They should've made a Klay video first.

Unfortunately, teams figured out how Duncan Robinson moves under the screens on the floor, which gives him less room for shots like he was taking in the 2020 Playoffs, but I like how Robinson plays inside more often than he has been before. He's just a solid 2020 average NBA player.
Another undrafted player who grinded for an opportunity, got one, and is having a ball with it. The fact that he's already up there with Steph and Klay as far as 3pt shooting efficiency after breaking out just last year shows his potential.

Didn't think after Wayne Ellington left we would have another great 3 point shooter for a long time. Duncan Robinson filled that void and then some.
