    I’ve had mine for about a year now and after 1500+ rounds this gun has NEVER had a single malfunction. Great gun

      Josue Hernandez Yeah purchase mine about two months ago haven’t had anything but problems right out of the box perfectly brand new unit that just really did not meet my expectations now the customer service is phenomenal but was very upset when I picked up my DB 9/4 GEN

      @@ditzwinkle Hmm.. I am just about to buy one of these in a 10.5 inch barrel. Does it not run good out of the box or something? Does it just need to be broken in?

    I'm tired of 9mm ar-15 styled rifles being listed at like twice the price of an equivalent ar-15 chambered in 5.56. This DB is one of the first ones I've seen that has a reasonable price tag on it.

    I've owned the same one for a couple years. Few thousand round through it, runs great. No issues after a few hundred rounds of break in. Great gun and a lot of fun

    When I bought my DB9R in June 2017, there wasn't any UA-cam reviews of this rifle. But because Diamondback has been in the manufacturing business for almost 30 years (building air boats) and both receivers are made from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminum, I felt confident in the quality of this firearm. A local FFL had this gun listed $150 below the MSRP, so my cost with tax was $803. I have four Glock 33-round polymer magazines (including one in the box) and they all work perfectly.

    Sweet! I'm glad to see these 9mm ARs becoming popular. I remember seeing some in a pawn shop a few years back and they just sat on the shelves, I think because no one knew what they were or what to do with them (hello Glock 33 round magazine?).

    Excellent review, as usual. The details are well explained. Is the threading for the muzzle device 1/2 x 28 or 5/8 x 24? Thanks.

    Will a slidefire stock for traditional AR work?

    What is the thread of the flash hider ? I want to put a muzzle brake on mine ? I have frozen shoulder and and any recoil reductions would help the pain level 😎

    I have a DB 5.56mm pistol. It's wonderful. I believe that I got a good deal, and thousands of rounds through it WITH ZERO ISSUES.

    How does this DBR9MM compare to the FX9 from Classic Firearms. I already have a Diamondback Elite ar15 and thought the FX9 was next but now their DBRBB has caught my eye. You've done reviews on both; any direct comparison info Highly appreciated. PS the DB-10 eventually will added to the list.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  7 років тому +1

      +Kevin Williams the DB10 is the best value AR10 we've ever seen. I'd say the FX-9 is more compact, but DB9R more traditional AT sized. You really can't go wrong with either, just keep in mind that most 9mm bolts aren't compatible with aftermarket triggers.

    • @kevsoberkev
      @kevsoberkev 6 років тому +1

      Thx the Fx9 9mm it is. Then the DB10 18" FDE change the stock to the adjustable magpul, PA 4x14 ACSS scope! I did the $20 trigger upgrade by the way the JP Enterprises silent captured recoil buffer spring has been by far the best overall improvement. Maybe you could do a review. I saw your Blitz recoil video. Thanks

    Does steel casings like tulammo feed finely in the db9r?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 роки тому

      Feeding isn't the risk with steel as much as extraction. I don't recall any issues but it's been a long time

  • @josephgregoire2275

    Is the DB better quality in any way or more reliable than the fx9?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  5 років тому

      They're both reliable, but replacement parts or Gucci parts will be more readily compatible with the Diamondback

  • @sjohn_8627
    @sjohn_8627 5 років тому +2

    Which one seems better... Diamondback carbine or FX-9 carbine????

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  5 років тому

      The Diamondback is more standard AR-sized. The FX-9's receivers are about an inch shorter.

    Which one would you reccomend the diamondback or the fx9?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  6 років тому +1

      I've had this question often. The DB9R is closer to an AR in size and feel, the FX-9 is more scaled down to 9mm, so it depends on what you want. They're both great guns.

    • @rcjewells
      @rcjewells 6 років тому

      Does quality of it vs the FX-9 justify the $200 increase if size isn't a factor?

    • @DrWho-jy7lo
      @DrWho-jy7lo 5 років тому

      Not familiar with the FX-9, but I own a DB9R and both receivers are built from T6-7075 aluminum which is a high-quality metal used in aircraft and defense applications, so it's durable and shoots great; never had a jam.

      mozzberg Yes you do. It's fun to shoot, cheaper than 5.56NATO to shoot, and doesn't feel like a wimpy compromise like a .22LR drop in kit.
