Hi. I plan to stay in this unit with my friend. If we want the exact specifications in your video (toilet and kitchen are in the room unit), is there a specific email we can contact?

Hi! A high rise dorm is just a suite/apartment style dorms in a pretty tall (hence high) building.

Hey! I am a student at the University of Edinburgh who has been offered the chance to exchange at Penn - is it true that lots of exchange students end up in Harrison? What is your advice for exchange students and accommodation?

Hi! I think in general exchange students end up at any one of the three high rises (Harrison, Harnwell, or Rodin), but I also know there are a lot of exchange students who live at Mayer (my current dorm right now). All of those are apartment style so you should have a shared kitchen, living room, bathroom, and single/double depending on your room preferences.
I know that in general exchange students really take advantage of being in America since they are here for only a semester, and they do a lot of traveling and love it haha. The class load tends to be a little less (hopefully) so you'l have more time to engage with extracurriculars on campus and meet more people! Let me know if you have any other questions :D

@@LilianChen Thanks for the reply! Cool to hear that the living situation sounds quite reasonable (if a bit more expensive than the UK). Really looking to have a private bedroom here at a minimum as the idea of sharing a bedroom is very alien for anyone in Europe!
The exchange programme at Edinburgh is actually an entire year so I would be at Penn over the course of 2 semesters, hence why I am giving this as much thought as possible! What do you study? I study Computer Science
