- First video in awhile... I promise I'm alive, I've just been doing lots of studying for midterms and finals haha (vlog this weekend to come, I promise!).

hey! hill and quad both have to share bathrooms. hill's are arguably much more cleaner though. I think rn with covid it's limited to 6 per a bathroom
Hi. My son is an incoming freshman and he is assigned to Kcech. Just wondering what is the size of the beds?
I've heard that Hill gets these private bathrooms (toilet + sink) in small rooms like stalls. Does Kings Court also have this?
Hi Catherine! I think kings Court is like your normal bathroom, where there are many stalls in one room (not private bathrooms)
Is it easy to feel isolated living in kings court if I'm not apart of a program community? Also, would you say someone who's living in a single has to make more of an effort to make friends? I like having my own space and privacy, but I don't want that to negatively affect my social life. Thanks!
Hey Carolyn! I have a lot of friends in Kings Court who aren't apart of the residential program and they love it there and have lots of friends in their hall :) Being in a single, I guess you have to put in a bit more effort to some extent, since at the start of the year you won't have a "buddy" to go around with but I guarantee you you'll begin to meet new people right and left. I have a single and I've still been able to meet lots of friends in my hall, in different clubs and organizations, in classes. I'd say definitely prioritize your own space... college can get really overwhelming being with people all the time so make sure you have your quiet place!
Hi Lilian! Which of the Quad houses would you say is the most "quiet" or not as "chaotic"? Do they have different "reputations"?
Hey Katie! I'd say, overall the three quad houses are the same all around... there are small changes between them but it mostly depends on your hall. I think Riepe and Ware have "nicer" rooms than Fisher, but it's all relative depending on luck of the draw with your hall. Reputations-wise, I think Ware typically is louder but my friend in Riepe says her hall is too loud, so it's definitely here and there. I would say if you're ranking the three, do Ware Riepe Fisher or Riepe Ware Fisher!

I’ve heard that there used to be a rat problem in a lot of dorms, is that still an issue?
hey! I've never actually seen a rat in my dorm space but I know other people have definitely seen rats/mice around :( penn definitely does do their best to send someone if you do see one, but I think it's inevitable unfortunately
Hi Lilian, was wondering how many years of guaranteed on-campus housing International students get? and the likelihood of getting all 4 years on campus after that?
hey! so nothing besides freshman year is "guaranteed on-campus housing" but there isn't too much demand for on-campus housing once you're a 3rd or 4th year. there's no difference between international students vs from USA with housing either! (although there is some specific housing dedicated specifically to international students like iHouse). I would say if you want to live on campus for all 4 years, you should have no problem doing that :)
