that's a good point. By end of day 3 crore shares were traded i.e. sold. And company did not list at a premium. Therefore who sold. Either the HNIs or retails or maybe insiders who were holding ESOPs. But 3 crore figure was surprising. Nobody was expecting any major listing gain but such high trades on day 1 has left me surprised.
Seeing how there was no room for listing gain, Hyundai has to be viewed with the same lens as its peers and it is abundantly clear that the auto sector is currently unwell. So there is no point in buying or even holding on to Hyundai shares(despite its rock solid fundamentals). Let the anchor investors and anybody else with lock-in periods sell their share, and only then buy Hyundai with long-term intentions. Needs sometime to cool off.
Thank U Hyundai. This IPO will bring good competition specially Big sister Maruti lying low presuming if Indians r interested to buy let them buy else we don’t bother to opp attitude. This will also make Tata more efficient a little bit for their premium cars though Hyundai is no where closer to JLR. Time Hyundai launch India specific high end cars considering SITA Tax on axle weight and CC.
South korea land mass and Population just equal to South Karnataka... But they have mega Comapnies like LG, Samsung, Kia, Hyundai... But we Indians have only Tata, Mahindra, Lava, Jio.😢😢😢😢 Shame on us
Even after strong hands 26.5 lakh shares have been sold in 4 hours
