It’s everything anybody needs, for under $30 (on sale)! Who needs flippers? Who needs locks? The copper scales on nested SS liners give the Culpepper a solid feel, which together with its mirror-polished blade makes it seem very high-quality. I love mine!
I like the fact that unlike most traditionals (in my very limited experience with traditionals), the Culpepper is put together with Torx screws, like most other modern knives, in fact, I regard the Culpepper as being in most ways a modern knife.
Nice modern traditional and I do like a Barlow. It's good that they have retained brass liners instead of steel. It's not just there for aesthetics. Thanks for the good review. 👍
Heyyyyy...that's my knife!! I had it for bout 2 weeks and dropped it in the river while running a trot line back in January...I magnet fished for that thing for hours...still sitting there. Thanks for sharing
Good looking knife. Wish it was 12C28 steel but at 25 to 26 dollars can't complain too much I guess. Thanks for showing this. Like the look. Reminds me of a bigger Boker Tech Tool that I got not to long ago. Thanks for sharing that clip point traditional.

@@BigRedEDC your welcome.. Ive been on YT since 07 seems the edc community grows & shrinks .. But its larger than its ever been now what time do you go live ?? I cannot possible catch up with everyone but im trying to watch alot of them
lol when you dropped the knife and the camera started shaking I thought "oh man, Nellie finally got him with the frying pan!" Great looking knife, thanks for showing it off!
Right on Eric! Its not called a Barlow anywhere but has that look it but elongated! I have not heard the term grandmother Barlow before. Thanks for watching!
BigRedEDC I made up the name, but it’s a long-clock reference. If a large floor standing clock is a grandfather clock, a mid sized version is known as a grandmother clock. Therefore, as this isn’t long enough to be a Grandaddy Barlow (5”), but is noticeably longer than a standard Barlow, a grandmother Barlow would suit perhaps?!
I really really like it... And I really hate to sound like a steel snob. But I wish they would have put a little bit better steel than the 7cr.. it doesn’t need a super steel or anything. Something like 9cr, n690, or vg10 would have been perfect!!
I've been looking for a slip joint, and was considering this one. 7cr17 is an ok steel for the price (currently $25) but for $4 more I decided to go with the Artisan Biome in Sandik 12c27 and carbon fiber. Overall the build quality seems similar, but the upgraded materials, plus the addition of a half stop on the Biome, makes the choice a no brainier for me.
Right on brother! So excited to see you post this... I've got one incoming this week. It's definitely a cool looking slip Look forward to your full review!
That’s a good looking offering from kershaw! I’m coming back around to liking a lot of their knives. I would have loved to see a half stop on that though. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for showing this one. I wasn't interested when I read G10 on a traditional, but this polished handle looks really nice on a video. Steel could be better, but it depends how much it will cost when it gets here. Can't be worse steel than Rough Riders 440, and they aren't bad for the price.
What a nice looking knife! Looks as though Kershaw has finally taken notice of Rough Rider's success, though they are not competing with the price. You said G10 but the covers looked more like the black micarta on the RR Work knife which I would put this against, 7Cr is comparable with 440A so I think Kershaw is pitching the price a little high, if they went up to 8 or 9 Cr it would definitely be worth it. As it is I still want one but I like to moan a bit.
***Additional Info*** Overall length is 7.4" with a 3.25" blade and a 3" cutting edge
Very nice traditional from Kershaw.
Thanks for watching david!!

Right on Fubar! Thanks for watching!
Reminds me of the Brother. Typical Kershaw, behind the curve on blade steel, as if 8Cr wasn't bad enough, they had to go even worse.
Thanks fro watching Len!

The G10 feels pretty good. Has a decent amount of grip to it. Rough Ryders are hard to beat for the cost! Thanks for watching!!
How long is the handle and blade?
Handle 4.15"...7.4" overall. More to come in the full review!!
