They mistreat others, I’ve known married pastors to cheat on their wives, divorce and remarry other women in their congregations. Lots of church folk have not been taught to have healthy comparisons. It’s offensive to those who have not been taught to value themselves.

I wish ppl would stop conflating being a part of the 'church' with being a part of a congregation... Ppl need to understand there's a huge difference in the two. You can be a part a congregation for a lifetime & still not be a part of the church.
I know plenty of (lukewarm) 'church girls' who could be defined in Bey's song line for line... But I also know some CHURCH girls who have been saved, sanctified & filled with the Holy Ghost, who have abandoned their lukewarm, double-minded lifestyles to take their spiritual walk with God seriously.
They don't look for rebellious ways to challenge what the scripture says God abhors & then defend it, either.

Maybe that is the problem with some of these denominations, they look for individuals outside of the world to blame instead of teaching what is in the Bible . Too much opinion and finger pointing! We should not have to have a strategy to get people to God and believe in Jesus; that is pure, that work needs no strategy. If we preach it straightforward and Holy, that is all that is needed, it is up to the person to accept it as such. We can’t water down God and Jesus for anyone. The kingdom of God is like pearls and we can’t throw it to pigs.

You raise a good argument about what women in ministry have gone through. I think it is important to keep Beyonce lifted because it looks like she has experienced some of the same challenges in the secular world. Beyonce may have issues with patriarchy and despises God. If you listen to her music you get hints. She sang a song called if I were a boy. She sang about resentment. It is alleged that her husband cheated and she has had business issues maybe even personal ones with her dad. Beyonce need to understand God is not like man of the flesh. God's patriarchy is not designed to abuse and misuse women. Feelings of rejection can cause Jezebel to creep up. Maybe that's where this song church girl came from. In the song she even mentions having a good time without men being involved.
I would love to see a Pace Sisters biopic but I know they wouldn’t okay it. It would be great though.

I'm not a Beyonce fan but I think she opened doors for people to listen to the early works of the Clark sisters material. In my opinion the movie left a lot on the table. The church community is too judgemental. The old guard are just trying to stay relevant. If the clark sisters themselves are not offended by the sample no else should judge.

We should fight because the Bible tells us to. God doesn’t need a new strategy to win people over. His word says that no man can come unto the Father unless the spirit draw them. Beyoncé is operating with another spirit that is not of God and she’s leading many astray. You have crossed over into compromising and are trying to find a way to justify your thoughts. Why would a worldly singer, consider offending God’s people, when the enemy is using them to destroy the church? Her ultimate goal is to turn the hearts of the people away from God. She has offended God’s word on many occasions and will continue to do so as long as the world and some in the church condones it. The enemy is a deceiver and it’s very obvious that he’s doing his job well. There is a scripture that combats most of this post. Major in the minors because the Bible states that it’s the small foxes that destroy the vine, or a little leaven leaveneth a whole lump. These small little nuances are devices that are aiming for an ultimate goal, the destruction of the Church. It’s ok for everyone to fight for what they believe, but when the church does it, everyone is in an uproar. It’s great to see that the church is finally rising up again to defend itself. The frustrating thing about that is, the church is divided on the issue, but though the divide, the wheat and tares are slowly being identified. God’s word is being manifested right before our very eyes and it is imperative that we pay attention.
