Thankyou for sharing your guitars with us, Dunsy. I enjoyed that. 👍🙂
Thank ya for checking it out - always good to document what’s here and then see what leaves and arrives over a year.
Like a pass through guitar center. More vintage please
What a killer collection! My favorites are the 1965 melody maker and that pink paisley tele. Appreciate the video my friend!🤘
Thanks Daniel, hope you're well. Yeah, that 65 is such a great guitar to play. So light and resonant.
Very Cool, Thankyou Dunsy. Stunning and interesting Collection. All the Best. Cheers
Thanks for checking it out buddy, much appreciated.
Dunsys guitar shop 😎you got some dandy geetars there mate. Catch up soon at a gig Dunsy 👍
Cheers Paul - playing Monday evening, actually, supporting Vision Video. Gothtastic!
That Yamaha SG is lush.
Used it at a couple of gigs - love it. Not going to change anything else on it or get it refinished. It’s unique as it is!
That 65 Melody Maker is a stunner
I love that guitar!
We need to start a Guitaraholics Annonymous Group Dunsy !!
Once a week meeting, live on UA-cam!
5:46 I have those too! The Paul with original Case.
Excellent guitars!
WOW…Dunsy…that is one super sweet collection 👍
Cheers buddy, I'm sure I'll end up back down to 1 or 2 again at some point. But I like having a few to choose from.
If you need to store some of them at my house thats fine though .
Careful what you wish for! 😂
Smashing and varied collection thanks for sharing.
Cheers Sir - always something coming in and something going out round here!
ALL THE BEST MATE
Cheers Sir. Hope yer keepin’ well 🍺👌
Yes we need all those guitars!
I wholeheartedly agree!
Excellent video so interesting to see such an eclectic collection.
Thanks sir - yeah, it would be fair to say I have a preference for elderly instruments with that lived-in look!
Awesome collection again! Your melody makers are my favs though!
I love those old guitars - they are so light and resonant. Easy on my back, for sure!
Hey! I like your channel, your awesome guitar collection, and your love and passion for all these wonderful vintage guitars !!
I think we all here are almost "vintage" guys who love vintage and old japanese nice guitars .......!!! ahah !!!
Cheers from France !!!!
Thanks buddy, appreciate you checking it out. Something for everyone!
Cheers Dunsy, Great Guitar Collection! I agree there is nothing better than a free guitar. I have always wondered about a mustang, never tried one, I may have to look at one, but I am running out of room in my studio. lol Rock on!👍
Some beautiful riffsticks there Dunsy
A right mixture - think I have everything covered!
Thank you.
Now when my wife complains I can point to someone with a worse problem than me!
I have a couple of friends who have more guitars than me, so I know exactly what you mean, as they’re the yardstick I use! 😀👌
Awesome video have a wonderful weekend ❤😊 also stay safe 😊❤
Thanks buddy 👍
Badass collection I love all of those guitars! The Melody maker and that blue special with the pinstripes are really cool!
Thanks buddy - yeah, I love those old Melody Makers, crazy light and so nice to play. I think the pinstripes on the Special only cost £5.00, or something. Some kinda automotive sticker. Just looked right on that guitar.
16:05 Nice Blue Tele!! Really. Super cool collection! Thanks for posting. Great accent, too. Scottish or Irish?
Yeah cheers from Del Rey California : )
Cheers Michael! Love that J Masic tele. Yeah, Bonnie Scotland, the home of heavy rain, lol!
Nice collection. Glad to see I'm not the only one with several nearly identical guitars :)
Some folks might think it’s just because Mrs Dunsy thinks they’re all the same guitar. As if, lol 😂
@@DunsysGuitarWorld lol. My friend used to buy new video games consoles and he'd just hook them up and insist to his wife they'd always been there.
Nice herd Dunsy. Which one is your desert island choice ?
The 65 Melody Maker (but I’d take the Steviecaster along as a spare 😆👌).
Brilliant collection Dunsy 👍
Lots in and lots out this year 👍👌
Been a hectic 12 months in the used guitar business, that’s for sure!
A man can never have too many guitars!
100% Fact!
Very cool collection indeed mate! 😎👍
Loadsa quirky rarities in there - love it 👌
Love those old Melody Makers - so light and resonant.
😂at 9:40 that's not a bullet hole, it's a drill hole. Bullets are moving so fast that they splinter the wood when they go in an out.
Ah, makes sense.
👍🏻👍🏻 Sweet collection, Dunsy!
2 Strats for the Not A Strat Guy!
Very impressive collection
Thank ya - appreciate you checking out the video.
Very fascinating to see the incredible variety of these beauties!!! WOWEEE!!!!😲🤖
Thank ya!
Very enjoyable watch. Good to hear the Yamaha SG is getting a video of its own. Very cool guitar. Santana and Big Country memories from the 80’s. If I was to do a guitar collection vid it would take about 90 seconds. 😁
Crazy how good that SG plays and sounds given the condition it arrived in!
No Rickenbacker? Need to sort that out pal! Great video.
LOVE the sound of them - but the necks are too skinny for me. Beautiful guitar though.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld The 330-6 string is a bit roomier than the 360, but granted it feels a little tight on first play. However, once you get used to it you're off to the races!
Such a cool collection! Would be hard not to find inspiration!
Something for everyone, even Strat players! 👌
Hi Dunsy,
A great collection of guitars I enjoyed hearing and watching about your collection very much.
Believe it or not I have a 1982 Yamaha SG1000 in the same colour but much worse shape than yours.
Some one tried to burn It at some point in various places on it’s person during its life.
I found it very difficult to get parts so much had to be replaced with aftermarket parts and I had to make the back plates myself!
I wanted something like it due to my childhood obsession with Mr Adamson and his band Big Country.
Best wishes
Ian
What?! Tried to burn it? Jeezo, why would someone do that to such a nice guitar? I'm glad to hear that you've got it in playing condition, these are great guitars.
I got shafted as I bought it from Japan before realising how expensive and scarce parts are let alone import duty.
It’s got cigarette burns on the front and headstock but the back was burnt very badly which I sanded down as best I could.
I would like the correct pick ups but not at the prices asked.
It’s still a lovely instrument but really should deserves a refret… more money lol!
As always, Dunsy, totally inspiring! As soon as I have all of mine assembled in one place, I'll probably do something similar. Albeit, on a much smaller and less professional scale. 😜
Thanks again for doing what you do!
I very much look forward to that, Sir 👌
Great Video
Thanks for checking it out, much appreciated.
I presume you sold or traded that lovely white LP I was looking forward to seeing that one. I do like the Greco's they look solid and well built. Keep up the good work GAS is normal.
I think that was the Grandy? Yeah, sold to a pal. I did a video on it before it went though: ua-cam.com/video/ztbaeLvJ-iU/v-deo.htmlsi=hAZZYGOwIE0PmfU0
Great collection mate. Think I like the Junior re-issue best although the Melody Makers are very cool too.
That Jr is a lovely instrument. Such a great playing and sounding guitar.
Awesome collection now Dunsy.
I see you racked on the mustang.
Where's the squire avril's.
Have you retired them from tour duty.
Loving the Mustang! Yeah, both AL Telecasters are gone. I trade stuff all the time so it’s difficult to keep a track of what’s here.
I’d like to see your hat collection 🤣
That I might do!!!
I only 19 Geetars mate! I need to buy more to catch up. Ha. I think the Ritchie Kotzen has the same pickup as my Tele the Dimarzio chopper T
I’ll sell some! Yeah, same pickup - sounds fantastic.
Fantastic collection, regarding your Fender Strat you mentioned that you changed the bridge pickup to a bare knuckle Irish tour 74......is that reference to a Rory Gallagher pickup?
Yeah, I double checked and Bare Knuckle just call it an “Irish Tour”, I must have added the “74”, lol! Great sounding pickup.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld brilliant 🤘
I call first right of refusal if you ever decide to sell that Greco gold top with the P90s!
100% that, my friend!
14:30 😂 Is not blocked off, it's just you lost all the parts and can't use it.
Most definitely! Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure it never had those parts when I bought it, previous owner must have binned them for some crazy reason.
Looks like you've had a big rotation since the last update. A lot of zenmarket guitars gone?
Yeah, a whole load of stuff traded in at my local guitar store - "consolidation" as I call it. I only have room for a certain number of guitars, so I have to turn 3 or 4 into a single guitar. Got a couple of Zenmarket videos going up soon and a couple of Zenmarket guitars arriving in a few months.
I keep telling myself that I'm not getting any more guitars, but then I do! I bought two more guitars last month. 🤦♂🥴
I'm liking your style!
Wow!
I don’t have a problem, honest 🤣
Do you find that Herman Miller mirra chair comfortable? I was thinking of getting one.
That’s the Greco version - made in the Fujigen factory. They got an original in and reverse engineered it.
Take one of each build type that you play often, and put those aside. Now, look at the ones you know you hardly ever touch and group them together.
There may be some fall between those groups.
Keep the first lot, sell the other two groups. Buy yourself anything really nice not related to music in any way. Maybe buy something for someone else.
If you move it will be much easier, storage will be easier and you will play the guitars you kept.
By the way, as you read this, please remember that someone watching this video is trying to find where you are.
This is great advice, thanks.
What happened to your two Avril Lavinge Squier Teles?
Both traded in for other stuff - like most things end up!
That's a guitar infestation dunsy 😅😂 .. I had to stop at 11 😂 my guitars go to 11 😅😂
I’d be the first to admit that I do have a problem, honestly. I’ve run out of room, lol 😂
Have Gibson made a Melody Maker model in recent times?
The reissue them every now and again - I think the original run stopped in the early 70’s. I’d love to get one of the late 60’s ones where they went to the SG shape. Nina Gordon from Veruca Salt used one of these.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld maybe Gibson should do a Korean made Melody Maker? 🤔
I bet when you were a kid in the 70s you had 30 action men plus all.the gear...
max of 2 action men at a time, but I got the tank for my 11th birthday (I think). Always wanted the helicopter though.
Nope. But if you’re not playing them they need to be in hard cases. Or it’ll be switch cleaner all over the place.
Dv247 do some amazing cases as good as Gibson ( no really) and 70.00 each.
I could probably squeeze in 1 more! Think I have a dozen in cases, another lot in gig bags in a cupboard. (Almost) Daily Drivers are out in a couple of racks.
Where is the Harley Benton guitar`s?
Traded in a while back to get new stuff to review - one of my friends is going to drop of his SC500 for me to make a video on.
I love guitar porn vids. Simplest way to get a rough date on Fender Japan is the Letter at start of the serial number. Each letter lasts about 1-2 production years so, IMO, that's close enough.
Appreciate you checking out the video - yeah, I found a chart with a list of the letters/years - was much easier on Greco’s etc when they had the actual production year as part of the serial number.
Don`t you know, that you have a Moderne copy?
Yeah, I got it a few months back - spur of the moment decision.
@ 13:13 that grecco bass is a copy of Hamer bass guitars.
Yeah, definitely looks to be.
Far too many…I’ll take some off ya!
Hoping to bring the Schenker V to the next show! 😆👌
Nice!
Too manyp?...😂😂😂😂
Not possible! 🥳
There is no such thing as too many guitars.
Only too little space! But that can be sorted 🍺
Glad to see no Ibanez and other ugly pointy-assed guitars in your collection! My two favorite (favourite) are the '63 Melody Maker and Gibson Custom Shop LP Junior!
No point shredders - I'm not sure what I would do with them!
