Payo, idk who your Dolphins friend is. The obvious...just because Chris has the SHULA name, does not mean, he is the next coming of his grandfather. I remember when so many Fins fans thought the same with Mike Shula (offensive coach at various levels and positions) and Dave Shula (offensive coordinator and head coach). Both never became this "next coming of Don Shula". In fact, quite the opposite. I think only Dave Shula was ever a head coach in the NFL, the Bengals, and produced a non-winning record. Even Don Shula had to put his time in the trenches, over a decade, before he got a head coaching position. What Chris Shula is doing in L.A. is good to really good, but, let him stay there away. Let's see how he develops players, builds that defense, and finding talent not only in free agency in the draft, but UDFA's and outlets like the CFL, USFL etc. The thing with Don Shula, is, he had an eye for talent, and he looked in a lot of places. A hall mark of a good coach is when he can develop one position well. I just roll my eyes when fans are so quick to crown a coach after one year. Even IF the Rams were a top three defense this year, the whole "did he just get lucky this year/one year wonder", or how does he continue going forward? Every year, we hear of some "Oh, this coach would a good coach, and yet, has minimal experience "talk. Last year, it was Mike McDonald (Seahawks coach now). It was Eric Bienemy for a few years. I remember when Fins fans were crazy of Kris Richard. Heck, I hear it now with Anthony Weaver is going to be a head coach talk. Not sound like a jerk, but fans really need to pump their breaks with this kind of "I want him to be a head coach talk". Plus, Miami has a head coach for the next few years. Whose Casa?
Agree, its a simple problem - gotta keep the Rams Offense on the field as much as possible. GO RAMS!!
