BTS debuted in 2013 as a HIP HOP IDOL GROUP from South Korea. They were supposed to be a rap group in the beginning, but the project changed and dancers and vocalists were added. Their core is HIP HOP, and their influences are heavily Western influences like Eminem, NAS, J-Cole, Warren G, and more. Also R&B/POP influences like Michael Jackson, and Bruno Mars, etc. They have studied Hip Hop and other music genre's, and they are passionate about their art. You will find that they are like Brothers too. They support each other and work well as a team. BTS are all multi talented. They can rap dance and sing, but they each have different roles in the group. BTS are have out-grown the niche market of K-Pop. They do many different genre's and they are Global superstars now. They are amazing in the group, and all seven of them also have successful solo careers. But the group always comes first. Their CEO gave them artistic freedom from the beginning, and they write and produce their own music. 4 of them (RM, SUGA, J-Hope, and Jungkook) are full members of the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), and the other 3 members (JIN, JIMIN, and V) are Associate members. They have a discography of over 400 songs, and their fanbase (BTS ARMY) is over 300 million globally, and very diverse and protective of BTS. A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 - ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
Suga's parents were not happy he went into rapping and were disappointed in him, that's part of why he says "sorry" in the mom comment. Now he's a global star so hopefully they aren't disappointed in him any longer.
They were afraid for him and you need to know the Korean economy/society to know why. Mind you he was suicidal at different points in his life. But his parents did support him.
@@ruthfischer7615 His parents started supporting him eventually, after BTS started to succeed, and he told us they've now worked hard on their relationship and genuinely mended things as adults. But he was also very clear that things were bad when he was younger. He talked about having difficulty through his whole childhood, and the relationship broke down completely when they forbid him from making music, took all his notebooks and burned them. That's why he left home and was surviving by himself at 16. He's talked about this a lot in his lyrics and a few interviews... so I think we should be careful how we talk about it for sure, since family issues are personal, this stuff is in the past now, and there's so much context we'll never know as outsiders. But also don't take his trauma away from him and say "ohh it's just Korean culture, it's not a big deal, that's just how it is over there." The other members don't have those experiences and they're all Korean too.
@@shockofthenew That is not quiet true. They went with him to therapy in Seoul - not their hometown - when he needed it at 18 (?) - It's in Yoongi's song "The Last" (also doolsetbangtan). They also drove him to Seoul and the building he needed to be (it's a quote from him in BTS official biography). They commented to him about it. I'm not taking his "trauma" away. But it seems his anxiety/depression became bad when he was already in Seoul - enough to need therapy - in a country that has still trouble believing that is normal. I'm just pointing out that his parents had reasons to be worried. In Amygdala he talks about how what happened to them is also traumatic to him. Honestly they may have needed better communication skills because there is a lot of guilt in him from being a child and his mother essentially telling him that the pregnancy with him is responsible for the "ticking" of her heart. I doubt she ment anything by it since she was holding him close at that point - just honestly answering his question. If I remember correctly Yoongi spoke about how his brother often stood between them/"translated". They love(d) him/were afraid for him. They did not understand him/understood his love for music. Which is the reason why he did so much training of his own without the (financial) support of them. Yes, he spoke about not being "loved" enough (People Pt. 2 I think). What a child needs from their parents may very much be diferent what their sibling needs and what one child can deal with may be very problematic for another. He would probably be confused why some people have such a bad opinion of his parents. We have highlights of his relationship - I'm not saying there were not bad things done by his parents to him - with his parents but daily details are missing. His true trouble seem to have surfaced after the move though.
I've been to bunch of Aoki shows. He plays club remix of Mic Drop every time, and before he does that he asks "does anybody know BTS?", and i scream my a** off, people look at me weird 😂
As an English major, I’m curious what you’ll think if you delve deeper into BTS’ discography. They are exceptional lyricists and there’s usually a lot of meaning to dive into. 💜
Most of their songs have a deeper meaning. There are even explanation videos for most of their music videos (made by bookish theories and dkdtv (english explanation by a Korean - he explains the cultural references well).
@@brayisa2112 3:05 "sorry mom your son is killing it" that's because his parents were not supportive of him when he pursued a music career. I don't know where I heard this but some say when he was still in school, his parents saw his notes (written songs) and ripped it to shreds. They say he shouldn't be a musician because it's not one of the prestigious or safe jobs in South Korea but of course he didn't listen to them and became a millionaire. So that line is pretty much a clap back line (But don't misunderstand, he loves his parents, and vice versa, his parents just want him to have a secure life)
@@brayisa21124:27 I think when reacting to BTS, reading the lyrics is a must but KNOWING the context behind these songs gives the song more depth. BTS were mocked and looked down upon when they first started since they weren't part of the Big 3, but from a small company near bankruptcy, and they didn't started of as a Kpop group either, and their were below average in Kpop standard. And in terms of exposure & production, they were quite inferior to other Kpop groups since they lack resources. So their diss tracks hold more weight. For example the bars "Our concert has no empty seat" The actual Korean translation is actually "Our concert has no scattered grapes" Meaning "Their concert are densely packed" cause grapes 🍇 if they not scattered, they are densely packed together. It's a very poetic & complex way of saying their concert is always full but unfortunately, it cannot be directly translated to English. Cause it wouldn't make much sense. So they had to simplify the English translation. The reason why he wrote a bar like that is also a clap back to those haters who are skeptical about their success. 2017, when BTS was still not popular, some Kpop fans say they're never gonna sell out a stadium. And it's only a pipe dream. Only for all BTS stadiums tours to be sold out in less than a day. Believe me or not but the skeptic claims were reasonable since BTS weren't even the most popular group in South Korea. Due to South Korea's media play and bias solely focusing on groups related to the Big 3 (3 Biggest Entertainment Label). Those 3 Labels basically the Kpop Industry due to their power & influence. BTS, who were not from the Big 3 nor have any support from K-media, is ironically insanely popular overseas, to the point that when foreigners think of Kpop, they'd immediately think of BTS. The bars, "Did you see my bag? Did you see my bag? It's full with trophies and it's hella thick, what you think about that? I bet it got my haters hella sick Is another clap back to those haters who mocked BTS for having little to no relevant awards despite being a group for 3 years. Little did they know BTS would become extremely popular surpassing their fav groups and became the biggest band in the world. "Another trophy, my hands carry them, too many that I can't even count them" Another BTS bar that make sense because they're now officially the most awarded artist in history surpassing MJ & TS. "Baby, watch your mouth it comes back around" Meaning every mockery they receive throughout the years will come back around.
RM, the rapper that was rapping in English, he's the *Official* leader of the group, and he taught himself English by watching the American sitcom FRIENDS, when he was a young boy. He's the only member fluent in English, even though all the members can speak some English. They have gotten better over the years, but RM is still the only one fluent. They can all speak Korean, Japanese, and English.
I'm at 6:00 but stopped to say- there is not even one in that group that is not talented. Because of their military service they will be able to release music together starting next year, but in this timeframe (they didn't enlist at the exact same time) they all released solo albums and did amazing as solo artists. They had some solo music even before this break, some more than others. Because it is a different culture and industry, it will take a bit of time and patience to understand some stuff , but if you are interested there a video by the channel Taylor Mari- A guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7. It's 47 minutes but trust me people will watch with you, it is well made and it goes really fast, not boring at all and very well edited and informative. That is a good introduction and knowing a lil bit will help to understand their music. 7:20 "he speaks a lil english "😅 Btw, this song is like 70% in english, just the first 2 rap verses and the bridge were in korean, if you listen again you will notice. They all know a lil bit of english, they can sing in english, but only the last rapper (from the ambulance) is fluent. He learned by himself, all of them are from Korea and lived there all their life. Usually kpop groups are put together by entertainment companies- short version: they audition hundreds of people, select maybe 20-30, train them (dancing, singing and so on) and select 4-5-6-7 whatever to make a band. BTS's story was a bit different than the usual, but they were also formed like this (put together through auditions)- it's the industry usual standard to do that. "No way they all get on a song"- but they do, they did it on this one, 3 rappers and 4 singers that all sang in rotation and also together. They do this in most of their songs (they just have a few songs with only the rappers or only the singers- but the reason was not that they can't all fit in a song)
@@brayisa2112 honestly more complex that you can imagine. I got into them out of pure curiosity to see wtf can be that special that they have so many fans. Now I'm a fan too 😂 For some reason your video didn't enter the youtube algorithm, but if you are curious and will try to know /listen to more about them, I think more people will notice.
I first saw them in Ellen and they sad they were the biggest boyband.. from that i had to go and listen to them to see what the hype was all about. That was in 2018 and been a part of army since then. The boys are so talented and fun. 💜💜💜💜
3 rapper's 4 vocals, the leader is RM the guy who came out of the ambulance. He is a rapper J-hope is the guy who rapped first he did the foot thing at the beginning. He can also sing. Suga is the second rapper that you see, the one who said "sorry mom ......." He has white hair. And is the 3rd rapper JK is the one you see first dancing and singing in the room with a mirror black hoodie, black camo pants he is a vocals V is the second person that joins JK in the room with the mirrors leather jacket headband black shirt with skull on it he is vocals Jimin is the third person to join them in the room, black hat black pants with white stripe down side he is vocals also Jin is the last member, when it's the black and white scene he is the guy standing in the front wearing a leather jacket white shirt and black pants. Vocals also. If you are really interested in learning more about them there is a introduction video of them bangtan 7 by Taylor There are many but I recommend hers. 💜 Borahae
@@brayisa2112I definitely recommend the above mentioned introduction to the boys if you want to learn about how they were formed, and who the members are, and what their role and skills are. It is slightly long, but it is so much more fun and rewarding to enjoy their music when you know them a little bit. And ARMY will definitely watch long videos of your reactions to them, so don’t worry about that. Just be aware that you will need to read quite a lot, and that pausing or rewinding will be necessary to take it all in, and to avoid missing important information while talking and commenting on things 🙂 As for who is the most popular I couldn’t say. I have my biases or favourites as do most fans, but all seven of them are genuinely amazing, both as artists and as human beings, so it is impossible for me not to love them all. No matter which member you bring up I could give you a list of reasons why I love him, and what makes him so special 😂 Welcome to the most beautiful rabbit hole of BTS, I hope you enjoy your journey even half as much as I did mine, because if so you are in for the ride of a lifetime 💜
After BTS performed at the 2017 AMAs, and then again and again at all the awards shows in subsequent years, the western industry started crapping its pants. They saw the fan reactions to the performances and the western artists saw what the bar really was. Since then, there's been an explosion of western artists upping their game and kpop groups trying to turn BTS's authentic success into a formula.
All 7 member can and do sing they all can dance, they a group of 7 song writers, 7 composers, 7 producers the 3 Rappers are being the biggest's song writers their Leader RM (Rapper from the underground Hip Hop scene as a Rapper) also writes for other artists. Suga (AKA Agust D) Rapper also writes and and Produces for other artists.(He's also a Rapper/Producer from the the underground Hip Hop Scene) J Hope Rapper was part of the Underground Hip Hop scene as a Street Dancer with the Street Crew Neuron). They are the biggest Global Group not just the biggest Kpop Group. Oh yes and I should add they are 7 solo artists who together are BTS. (BangTan Sonyeodan which is English translates into English as 'Bulletproof Boy Scouts.)
RM is Korean. He learned English from watching the TV show Friends. 😊. Check out 2018 & 2019 MMA Awards show. RM is the leader Rap, Rock, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Latin Songs in Japanese Each member has their own Solo albums as well. First all English, Golden by Jungkook, collaboration with Usher, Lazzo, Jack Harlow Look for live performances, Billboard & Grammys New Years Time Square V - check out his Singularity & Stigma live & his Tiny Desk, 4:02 he does soulful R&B, he’ll take you back to 70’s era Feel better!
If you want to take a deep dive into BTS I suggest the Guide to BTS by Taylor Marie. It's accurate till May 2022, right before their break. Since June 2022 they released solo albums up to their enlistment in the mandatory Korean military. 2 members got discharged from the military recently. BTS will reunite in June 2025. They pre-recorded a lot of music before their enlistment, so there's still content released all the time...
RM (the leader/main rapper of BTS) released a song (a collab) with Megan Thee Stallian recently. It's called Nevah play. He also released an experimental solo album (different sounds, genres, beat changes) 'Right Place, wrong person' not so long ago. It has gotten great critics and is a contender to become the album of the year in America. If you're interested to check it out... The music videos (especially Lost and Come back to me) are great and have won prices. The also have a deeper meaning...

As a 90s boy band kid where each member had it’s one or two things and that was it….i get assuming that there would be that one member riding the caboose of the high speed train. But I can tell you that all of these guys are stupid talented. They make them different over there…aka they go through some of the most insane training before they even become a group and then they train even more crazy before they debut. No one works as hard as K-pop artists. Blows my mind. Not to say that artists elsewhere aren’t working their butts off too!😅
Bro, the journey is amazing. This song was done for those who hated & doubted them. Suga, rapper, songwriter, producer, his didn’t want him to do this. Army64
RM is the OFFICIAL leader, but that is not the same thing that you think of. That doesnt mean he takes the center position all the time, that means he IS the leader. He takes care of the team, talks for them, organize, communicate with the company, etc - all that boring stuff. About who is "the leader" as you mean it, there is no one.... everyone of them have their time in the center and the limelight! They are very democratic! And they also have solo songs, duo songs etc within the concept of the group... Everyone of them have time to be the center of attention.
Please react to more BTS I recommend Black Swan MV, Fake Love, Let Go Live, Zero o clock live, Outro Tear Live, Fire MV, Run Japanese Version, Disease Live, Baespsae/fire/Run Live, MMA 2019, BTS Festa Live 2021 The members names are RM, Jimin, Jhope, Jin, V, Jungkook, Suga(Agust D) and they all have solo music as well. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists
They all get equal chances to sing. They all dance. You should watch an introduction video by Taylor. You'll be shocked how much they write and produce their own songs unlike most Kpop groups. That's why they're so successful!
Rm learned english by watching all 10 seasons off the sitcom Friends, the other 6 is learning english. the have sold out Stadium concert all over the world, usally sold in 30 min -1 hour. after pandemic the had 4 sold out Stadium concert in L.A and 3 months later the had 4 sold out concert in Las Vegas, the have sold out 2 nights at Wembley Stadium. The have performed evrywhere in America, Grammy 2022 Song Butter, Ama the won Artist Off The Year and Best group there, Jimmy Fallon, America got talent, the voice, James corden New Years Eve, Good Morning America, the have collab whid Lil nas, Juice, Wale, J-cole, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Charlie Puth, Lauv, zara Larsson, Steve Aoki, Coldplay
They are all awesome and very popular and can perform tremendously well. There’s some songs for just the rappers and vocalists but most of their songs is with all of them. 3 rappers & 4 vocalists and I’m ready to watch your journey into the rabbit hole.💜
I agree on watching 'A Guide to BTS.." by Taylor. Even though it would be long, ARMY will watch it. I can't tell you how fun it is to watch someone else discover BTS. We can't do it again, but we can share the joy and watch you learn about them and love them as much as we do.
mom comment comes from Suga's parents disapproval of him going into music for his career. In fact his entire family gave him a hard time. Now he supports them all.
They started with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists but now all 7 can really do everything. About the lyric "Sorry mom your son is killing it". He could be apologizing because they are so busy and global that they don't see their family.
Please react to BTS's Born Singer (homage to J Cole's Born Sinner). They have a live performance from their 2021 Proof Live COVID-times performance. English subs are available. It's an older song from them, so when one of them says "3 years ago," it's more like 12 years ago.
K-pop is actually an industry started and encouraged by the government for music and drama to exportto earn money for Korea. Companies contract talented young people and train them, put them in groups, and compete them. Music can be of any genre, pop hiphop, edm, ballad. Kpop is visually oriented in video production and style for film. BTS is Korean and one is very fluent in English, the others are learning and speak a little. Most songs are Korean with a bit of English. There is a Guide to BTS by Taylor Mari that would answer many of your questions.
Untrue. When laws changed and SK became more democratic in the way we understand by getting direct election right - 1987 - Koreans could enter the clubs that were exclusively for the US soldiers and got in contact with more Western music. To this come Korean Americans - quiet a few - having actually lived in the US - that brought these genres into SK. The true breakthrough - away from underground groups - into mainstream is Seo Taiji in 1992 and that is were K-pop begins - and labels - SM Ent. among them - begin develop the Idol System - debuting in 1994 H.O.T. (and a group named Idol). At that point the government still condemned this newly developing art as "satanic" etc. - you know the drill. But in the late 90s the economic boom broke thanks to Wallstreet destroying the Baht which swapped over to other countries including South Korea. It led to a lot of bankrupt companies, labels (the ones that had no background in muisc just capital) & ended lifes. So SK politicians thought about how to balance the Korean economy better and began - among other things - create an environment were artists could also thrive - like a ministry of culture, entertainment & sports. The truly intresting thing a politician did was smuggle a K-Drama into - I believe - Hong Kong. The Chinese market was starved for something new and interesting for youth and they jumped onto it - surprising the Chinese politicians among others - think a bit like Beatle Mania - so they began to talk about Hallyu (a Chinese Word) - the Korean Wave. Especially since it swept into all cultural aspects including food, make-up, clothes etc. . The Korean government did not start any of the entertainment industry just encouraged it a little for market diversity - and it surprising proved that soft power came from that. They did create legislature and looked the other way when "some" labels went "creative" to move forward.
@Bray isa! Hello from Germany.... Hey! BTS is a lot and they are deep. You cannot compare BTS with back street boys or any other boy band. And then again: they are very deep for casual listeners and also, they are dangerous.... 🤭 So, if you don't want to be too much in trouble.... I would recommend you not to listen to them anymore... Also, never ever watch their variety show. Save yourself!!! But thanks for the reaction anyways. Mic drop is a classic reaction song🎉

Thanks for your reaction. Well worth your time looking into them, especially if you value intelligent lyricism. Doolset has the lyrics in Eng with cultural explanations. You could do that after the video. Also DKDKTV (from a Korean perspective) and Bookish Theories have explanations as we Westerners tend to miss a lot. Especially with the rap songs like Ddaeng, Ugh etc. 2 of the rappers (RM & Suga - as in Shoo gah) were underground rappers. All 3 are real MC's some reacting rapper mentioned, whatever that is! 😅
Doesn't MC stand for Master of Ceremony, or something to that effect, like the m in A.R.M.Y? Also just wanted to add that Doolset Lyrics is a website, and both DKDKTV and Bookish Theories are YT channels. 💜
Group Leader is an official position. The leader is tasked with leading the group in interviews and in public, with interceding between the label and the group, and with helping mediate conflicts within the group, among other things. RM is the Group Leader. The guy in the Mastermind T. When RM was signed by tiny, indie label Big Hit who were building their first ever group, he was 15 years old. Mr Bang, who put BTS together, knew when he met this genius rap prodigy from the S Korean rap underground that he was going to make him the centerpiece and build his group around him. RMs remarkable maturity and emotional intelligence also contributed to making BTS a success. RM is also Lead Rapper and part of the Rap Line of BTS. Most times in KPop, Group Leader is simply the eldest member, following S Korean age hierarchy in their culture. But RM is right in the middle in BTS, with three older members and three younger. He wasn't signed first either. j-hope was signed first. Believe me when I tell you that every member of BTS is a super star and tops charts and breaks records as a soloist and is equally beloved by ARMY (the BTS fanbase.) In terms of popularity with the general public, outside their fanbase, it's probably the Maknaes (youngest) members, Jimin, V (Taehyung) and Jungkook, who are currently reigning on the charts. But that mostly has to do with how they marketed their solo music and the styles they chose to do. Each member marketed their solo work differently and their styles are incredibly diverse. There is no jealousy among the brothers (they consider themselves brothers) and they have always supported one another's solo work, even collabing on each other's albums, or helping write or produce, making cameos in MVs and going to each other's solo shows.
They know each other very well they live together share on tiny bedroom in bunk beds due to their company being almost bankrupt and took that company to become the biggest Kpop Company which bought out our Scooter Braun's label and just bough out another USA Hip hop Label.
Mic Drop is a diss track to their many haters. They are the most award artists in the history of modern music. They are sell out the biggest stadiums on the planet in an hour of tickets going on sale. The General public can't get tickets you have to be signed up just to get into the que for a chance to buy a ticket. I've seen them live at Wembley Stadium on their second night. I've watched their Busan Yet To Come Concert live via their worldwide live stream. Then month's later I saw that one at the cinema's (movie theatres for Americans.) They are incredible live I've seen some of the biggests bands, artist in concert over the years but BTS are leagues above them all.
If you like the vibe of this song, I recommend ON Kinetic Manifesto. They are ALL popular. They all have solo songs in early BTS albums and now solo albums. They all have brand ambassadorships.
ARMY HAVE LONG ATTENTION SPANS. Watch twice. Some watch the official mv, then the explaination by someone like DKDKTV for non pg translations historical and cultural references. Songs that need DKDKTV because they are multilayered are DDAENG BAEPSAE UGH DAECHWITTA BTS do like to wrap up scathing social commentary in a catchy hy tune and hilarious choreography... plusany MVs are so cinematic it's too distracting as you spot the symbolism. Always end with a live or concert performance. BTS is one of the very few better live.
Oh yes all 7 members can play at least one musical instrument in fact some play more than one. eg RM piano and saxophone, Suga Piano, and guitar, Jin Piano and Guitar, both of these 2 have played and stage. V Saxophone and Trumpet he's the jazz lover.
You are asking a lot of good questions! Here in the United States I would say that the most popular second language is Spanish. In South Korea it is English. English is the most spoken language in the world. So it makes sense for KPOP groups that want to reach a larger audience to put some English lyrics mixed in. BTS also has 3 all English lyrics songs. South Korea has a huge Western influence because of the Korean war...... We were on their side. North Korea has a bigger Russian influence. So you can find more of our influences in that part of Korea because of the longtime alliance. BTS has a great message. Hope you keep watching them. They are really amazing.
I'm not sure if you are into rap...... But one of the rappers (Suga) aka Agust D has a bad ass rap song called " Daechwita". But I'm not sure if you can read that fast! Lol! BUT!!! It's REALLY SO GOOD. There's even a explanation video that's in English that breaks it down.
7:50 RM, the leader, is the only one who speaks English well. He learned from watching friends, the sitcom. And yes, they are all talented, all on this song, and there is no weak link. Very different from other bands. Hence they are the biggest act on the world today. And damn… once you get to know their personalities and watch how they interact, you’d fall in love with them even more.
Please understand BTS has 7 all star artists who have solo work within BTS albums and as soloists. All 7 have very different musical tastes from Jazz, R&B, hip hop rock etc. So BTS songs are incredibly diverse. Tell us what you like we will try to send you down the right rabbit hole.
They are all singing or rapping on the song. RM is a polygot eg he speaks 3 languages his native Korean, English and Japanese. He often sounds American when speaking in English he's extremely intelligent with an IQ of 148 he's a genius and lover of Nature, Art and literature. He started writing poetry at age 11 and discovered Rap via the OJ's of Rap and became a Rapper at age 13years old in the underground Hip Hop Scene were he was out Battle Rapping much more established older Rappers.
Hii.. I hope u read this. I just wanna say that, people hardly know this but BTS has a very strong Hip Hop element on their music, especially old school hip hop. 2 of the members came from underground rappers (RM and Suga/Agust D) and 1 from hip hop street dancer (j-hope). So yea.. they're really good. And they really were and still are the students of the game. This list right here are some of their best songs and tracks. Please react to these : 1. *Monster* by RM (og track from Grown Simba, J.Cole) 2. *Hip Hop Phile* (here they pay homage to the legendss. Talkin abt Tupac, Biggie, JayZ, Nas, Rakim, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg (also specifically talkin abt the album Illmatic, The Chronic, Doggy Style and 2002 too) they also mentioned KRS-ONE, Kendrick Lamar, Gang Starr, Pete Rock, CL Smooth, J.Cole and a lot more. They are all popular as a group theirs no ego on this group their are humble but don't get it twisted bts fans are every protected careful what you say
They all Can Read Write and Understand English , Just by learning from RM !! Now their are More Members that Speak Better English almost Fluent , Jimin , V’s English Has Improved A lot , but next in line to Be Fluent I would say Jhope Jin and Jk and Yes they all Speak 3 languages as well as When they are on Tour they work Very Hard Practicing to Speak a little bit in what ever Language that Country they are in at that time is Speaking, If they Travel to Germany they will learn Enough German to speak a little to their Army and so on !!
@ that is true, I just meant that RM even after They all Graduated, continually helped them Learn and Practice their English, Especially for interviews He would always Get them to say a little Something in English just to keep practicing 💜
I suggest you watch on UA-cam "a guide to bts members the bangtan 7" from the author Taylor Mari, also after watching BTS hardships 2013-2021, after these videos that I came across in the recommendations, I fell in love with this group forever and respected it. I also advise you to watch not just a music video, but also an explanation of them, they are such geniuses, I applauded standing up
this guys climb from a small company whid little money to today there company is now the biggest music company in Korea, the bring in 4 billion dollar to Korea a year
Most of this song is in English bro.... There is no most popular member. All of them are amazing. Every one of them is a multi-talented, record breaking, award winning super star as a soloist as well. For real. Yes, there are some positions, like Main Vocalist (Jungkook), Group Leader (RM), Dance Leader (j-hope) etc, but they all share time in songs and on stage in a pretty balanced way. Every one of them has songs where they take the lead part and solo songs on their group albums. Yes, they all are in their songs. Every member of BTS was born and raised in S Korea and are native Korean speakers. The guy in the Mastermind T that you asked about is RM, the Group Leader with a literal genius level IQ. He taught himself English as a child from tv. Yes, some other groups have international members. Most are ethnically Korean, some are other Asian nationalities like Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese or Thai, etc, and a few are not Asian or are mixed race. Labels will go to other countries to scout, and hopeful trainees will also go to S Korea to audition. BTS have 20 group albums and 15 solo albums among members since their debut in 2013, plus many other singles, collabs, OSTs and covers. Their discography is many hundreds of songs deep. Normally your description of how KPop works would be fairly accurate, but not really for BTS. They are less a "boy band" and more an artist collective of 7 genius performers, singers, rappers, dancers, songwriters, composers, and producers. All of them sing, dance, write, compose and produce. All of them are brilliant as soloists too. Their musical diversity and creative artistry are top notch. They are famous for their complex storytelling choreography, their insane stage presence and live performance skills, the creativity and technical complexity of their composing and production, the depth and complexity of their lyrical storytelling, which is being studied in colleges around the world (though this particular song is not terribly deep) and other things. The 3 in the rap line are among the best rappers in the world, no joke. One of them did a solo world tour last year that was the biggest and most lucrative tour for a rapper in world history. BTS is built different. There are very good reasons why they are the biggest band in the world. If you dive deeper, you will see. They are now the most awarded musical artists in world history (1400+ awards.) BTS were considered misfits in the KPop industry from the start, for many reasons, and now they eclipse KPop utterly. You won't find anyone else like them. By every metric: awards won, records broken, streaming and sales, views, etc, they are bigger than all the rest of KPop combined. In fact, they have outgrown their country. They are global artists. They belong to the world, and their fanbase is global and super diverse. Their fanbase is majority 30+ and almost half are men, and they span many, many countries. The three rappers are the only three rappers in history to EACH have albums with 110 iTunes #1s (meaning each of them have albums that are #1 in 110 different countries.) If you are truly interested in their lyricism, I recommend Doolset Bangtan, a website that offers BTS translations with language and cultural context notes. I also recommend some "explained" videos for some of their more complex songs or MVs. xCeleste, DKDKTV and bookish theories are some good channels for explained videos. Don't neglect their B-sides, which can be viewed live or as lyric videos. They have no bad songs. They are also that rare animal that is: performers who are even better live than on their records. Enjoy BTS More is a good YT source for live performances with accurate subtitles. Many lyric videos are inaccurate, so take care with that. Dial6137 is a good YT source for accurate lyric videos.
Why are you obsessed with finding the weak one ? They are all 7 stars in their own rights. They are the biggest band in the world, they aren't carrying anybody.
It takes a little bit but you get used to managing the visuals, the lyrics, and the music. But it’s ok to stop rewind or watch it a couple times. ARMY~ what BTS fans are called ~ will watch longer content from reactors if they are being authentic and not just clickbait hungry. Be honest about your thoughts, be open, and ARMY and BTS will be with you on this adventure.
stpå calling it K-Pop the sre not so mutch K-Pop anymoore, the are the biggest group in the world the have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 and 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 and 12 Billboard awards, the also have many Guiness records and 2 members solo song also got into Billboard 100 as nr 1 Jimin Like Crazy and Jungkook Seven ft Latto. Brs write and produced there music, the are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist and all dance
And they have all solo albums aside to BTS (the 3 rappers also released mixtapes in the past)...
@@shockofthenew
That is not quiet true.
They went with him to therapy in Seoul - not their hometown - when he needed it at 18 (?) - It's in Yoongi's song "The Last"
(also doolsetbangtan).
I'll check it out!
Most of their songs have a deeper meaning. There are even explanation videos for most of their music videos (made by bookish theories and dkdtv (english explanation by a Korean - he explains the cultural references well).
But not the english ones.. they are for just fun and feeling good.
For example the bars "Our concert has no empty seat"
The actual Korean translation is actually "Our concert has no scattered grapes"
Meaning "Their concert are densely packed" cause grapes 🍇 if they not scattered, they are densely packed together.
I bet it got my haters hella sick
Is another clap back to those haters who mocked BTS for having little to no relevant awards despite being a group for 3 years. Little did they know BTS would become extremely popular surpassing their fav groups and became the biggest band in the world.
"Another trophy, my hands carry them, too many that I can't even count them"
Another BTS bar that make sense because they're now officially the most awarded artist in history surpassing MJ & TS.
"Baby, watch your mouth it comes back around"
Meaning every mockery they receive throughout the years will come back around.
7:20 "he speaks a lil english "😅
Btw, this song is like 70% in english, just the first 2 rap verses and the bridge were in korean, if you listen again you will notice.
Super complex it’s pretty cool ngl
@@brayisa2112 honestly more complex that you can imagine. I got into them out of pure curiosity to see wtf can be that special that they have so many fans. Now I'm a fan too 😂
For some reason your video didn't enter the youtube algorithm, but if you are curious and will try to know /listen to more about them, I think more people will notice.
Great comment, saved me from repeating 😅
@@georgiana3112 Yeah I am definitely going to react to more of them.
He is a rapper
J-hope is the guy who rapped first he did the foot thing at the beginning. He can also sing.
Suga is the second rapper that you see, the one who said "sorry mom ......." He has white hair. And is the 3rd rapper
JK is the one you see first dancing and singing in the room with a mirror black hoodie, black camo pants he is a vocals
V is the second person that joins JK in the room with the mirrors leather jacket headband black shirt with skull on it he is vocals
Jimin is the third person to join them in the room, black hat black pants with white stripe down side he is vocals also
Jin is the last member, when it's the black and white scene he is the guy standing in the front wearing a leather jacket white shirt and black pants. Vocals also.
If you are really interested in learning more about them there is a introduction video of them bangtan 7 by Taylor There are many but I recommend hers.

@@brayisa2112 your welcome 💜
@@brayisa2112I definitely recommend the above mentioned introduction to the boys if you want to learn about how they were formed, and who the members are, and what their role and skills are. It is slightly long, but it is so much more fun and rewarding to enjoy their music when you know them a little bit. And ARMY will definitely watch long videos of your reactions to them, so don’t worry about that. Just be aware that you will need to read quite a lot, and that pausing or rewinding will be necessary to take it all in, and to avoid missing important information while talking and commenting on things 🙂
As for who is the most popular I couldn’t say. I have my biases or favourites as do most fans, but all seven of them are genuinely amazing, both as artists and as human beings, so it is impossible for me not to love them all. No matter which member you bring up I could give you a list of reasons why I love him, and what makes him so special 😂

Dayummmmm!! Man you dropped this 👑
As a 90s boy band kid where each member had it’s one or two things and that was it….i get assuming that there would be that one member riding the caboose of the high speed train. But I can tell you that all of these guys are stupid talented. They make them different over there…aka they go through some of the most insane training before they even become a group and then they train even more crazy before they debut. No one works as hard as K-pop artists. Blows my mind.
Not to say that artists elsewhere aren’t working their butts off too!😅
They the best group of K-pop Bts no body else!!!
Bro, the journey is amazing. This song was done for those who hated & doubted them. Suga, rapper, songwriter, producer, his didn’t want him to do this.

I would recommend watching first then a second time for lyrics
You are going to find out quickly that the Army searches for reactors who talk more about BTS than they do about themselves .
Bts debuted 2013 before tiktok was created it
@Bray isa! Hello from Germany.... Hey! BTS is a lot and they are deep. You cannot compare BTS with back street boys or any other boy band.
And then again: they are very deep for casual listeners and also, they are dangerous.... 🤭
So, if you don't want to be too much in trouble....

@@RainbowSunDrop Yes it does
Group Leader is an official position.
I don't like kpop
Bts is exceptIONAL
They are different
And i love all 7
#ARMY
same not a Kpop fan I'm a music fan as a vocalist and musician myself so I'm a BTS fan I'm ARMY.
Just another FYI:
Most BTS members also play musical instruments.
K팝 리액션 너무 감사합니다.😊💜💜💜
If you like the vibe of this song, I recommend ON Kinetic Manifesto. They are ALL popular. They all have solo songs in early BTS albums and now solo albums. They all have brand ambassadorships.
ARMY! 💜
ARMY HAVE LONG ATTENTION SPANS. Watch twice. Some watch the official mv, then the explaination by someone like DKDKTV for non pg translations historical and cultural references. Songs that need DKDKTV because they are multilayered are
DDAENG
BAEPSAE
UGH
DAECHWITTA
BTS do like to wrap up scathing social commentary in a catchy hy tune and hilarious choreography... plusany MVs are so cinematic it's too distracting as you spot the symbolism.
방탄소년단의 안무도 꼭 확인 해 보세요!😊
Bts the biggest band on earth!!!
They all sing in their songs
Thank you for reaction 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Please react to these :
1. *Monster* by RM (og track from Grown Simba, J.Cole)
2. And they basically telling their stories of how they got deep into the culture).
3. *Cypher pt.1-4* by the Rap Line (straight up Cyphers, and pt. 1-3 they added some old school Boom Bap typa beat)

💜💜💜💜
you should react to BTS- ON KINECT MANISFESTO, is fire
They all Can Read Write and Understand English , Just by learning from RM !! Now their are More Members that Speak Better English almost Fluent , Jimin , V’s English Has Improved A lot , but next in line to Be Fluent I would say Jhope Jin and Jk and Yes they all Speak 3 languages as well as When they are on Tour they work Very Hard Practicing to Speak a little bit in what ever Language that Country they are in at that time is Speaking, If they Travel to Germany they will learn Enough German to speak a little to their Army and so on !!
Actually Koreans learn English starting in elementary school. Kind of like we learn Spanish in school here!
The three rappers are the only three rappers in history to EACH have albums with 110 iTunes #1s (meaning each of them have albums that are #1 in 110 different countries.)
If you are truly interested in their lyricism, I recommend Doolset Bangtan, a website that offers BTS translations with language and cultural context notes.
💜💜
Make the subtitles bigger
