PS:T!!! I called it correctly in my comment on your first video in the series. Anyone with Planescape: Torment as their # 1 game seriously rocks (pssst! I rock too.) Rayman surprised me, as I don't recall hearing you talk much about the series. Mass Effect 2, hell yeah! And I definitely have to get to V:TM. I'm sad to see this series end, but I look forward to seeing what you have next in store. Thanks for all the awesome content. Keep on rockin'!
Your #2 is my #1 since I first played it back in 2004. What a masterpiece. The regular characters, the franchise famous characters, boss fights, plot, quests, soundtrack, SFX, disciplines, everything is awesome in this game. So you convinced me, I will watch the other 19 videos :)
Great taste in games and I even want to play some I don't know about before. Was quite happy to see Doom and a few horror games on your list. Cant wait for Bloodlines 2!
I think your review of Torment was the first video I saw of yours. I would have to pick my favorite games by genre. I couldn't lump them all together. Maniac Mansion is my favorite point and click.
Mass Effect 2 is 100% improvement over ME1 in terms of story, characters, quests, everything. But man, that cover system in ME2 sucks major krogan ba__s (which I believe there are four of them). In the Legendary Edition, the button for cover is bound to 3 other actions: sprint, jump, and use. You can accidentally take cover when you want to sprint. And you can accidentally jump when you want to take cover. ME1 is the same way but it has no jump. I was hoping the Legendary Edition would improve the controls in this aspect, but sadly it doesn't.

Damn nice list, Only games missing that I can think of right now are original XCOM: Ufo Defence (UFO: Enemy Unknown in EU), Dungeon Master, Metal Gear and System Shock. Thanks !
I have never played an XCOM game, but my gaming buddies from the 80/90s always told me all the Xcom games are awesome. As someone who has never played any of the games, which Xcom would you recommend playing first? (or even an order to play them all)
Nice list. I like your taste. Rayman Legends and ME 2 are among my favorite games. Been reading a lot about Planescape and Vampire the Masquerade. Looking forward to trying them.
Very good list and videos you're very competent! Even if doesn't match fully with my top 100 I really appreciate watching and also discovering new games. The only game that based on your preferences I'm surprised to not see is Day of the Tentacle that for me is second only to Monkey Island in the genre
i just got all 700 teensies in rayman legends yesterday.. the game definitely had some challenging moments.. for anyone playing.. if u play the 8-bit levels, my tip is to run through the original versions a few times first.. if u do that then u will die a lot less in the 8-bit ones.. i think the absolute hardest level in the game though was "amazing maze infiltrated"... it was so hard that i had internal bleeding right under my thumbnail.. it was really sore and then it turned black
Stellar list. My personal favorite Games of All Time (one per franchise only): 1. Uncharted 4 2. Bioshock Infinite 3. The Last of Us 4. Far Cry 3 5. Chrono Trigger 6. Final Fantasy 9 7. Divinity Original Sin 2 8. Conker Live & Reloaded 9. The Walking Dead Season 1 10. Resident Evil 2 11. Donkey Kong Country 2 12. Castlevania Symphony of the Night 13. Ori and the Blind Forest 14. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 15. Banjo Tooie 16. The Darkness 17. Alan Wake 18. Timesplitters Future Perfect 19. Bulletstorm 20. Singularity 21. Battlefield Bad Company 2 22. The Battle for Middle Earth 23. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag 24. Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology 25. Killer Instinct Gold
There can be no question that Planescape: Torment is the gold standard for video game writing. There are a handful of games with writing that could be considered equal to it, but there are no games with better writing.
Planescape Torment. Played through it for the first time last year and it's now safely in my top 10 games of all time. Genius level writing. This video also gets me more excited to play Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, which I picked up awhile back but haven't started yet. Did you play it with mods? If so, which ones?
Hi Pam, below are the top 100 games in your lists. The ones with "-" are those I also own and have played. These are the best videos you've made, imo, as I've told you. Your top 5 are once again more great and interesting games that outside of Mass Effect 2, I haven't tried yet. And Planscape: Torment, while not the type of rpg I would normally play, seems to have the type of story and world I'm interested in exploring. As for my top games, the ones that come to mind are Shenmue, Shadow of the Colossus, Tekken 3, Pathologic, and Shining Force: Ressurection of the Dark Dragon. Congrats on completing this list series, I'm sure it was a lot of work and I really enjoyed these.
Of those I've only played Shadow of the Colossus. Pathologic is one I really want to get into though. I tried the very beginning, but never got past that. I've watched a lot of videos about it though.
I've only recently subscribed so I've come to this series late, but I enjoyed your picks (and the red panda shirt). How did you even rank 100 of your favourites? That seems like a mammoth undertaking in itself. I do a "favourite games" show on my channel every few months, and after 8 episodes I still have fears that sooner or later I'll run out of games to talk about ^^ I loved seeing Rayman Legends on the list. I played through Origins with a friend years ago. I need to see if he wants to do Legends sometime because my God those games are fun. I was obsessed with the iPhone platformer too. Do you have another year long project in mind? :)
Honestly, I make a list like this by not getting too hung up on anything, and understanding that favorites will change from year to year. This was just a description of my taste in games at one point in time. I made a list of games I love (or really like) and just shuffled them around on a spreadsheet until I was happy. No more year-long projects for a while, I don't think. I think I'm going to do a series of collection videos but those shouldn't take nearly as long.
Rayman Legends is probably my favorite platformer too. It’s a good game to play with my nephew because when he dies (a lot) I can bring him back in as long as I’m alive. I also think it has one of the best soundtracks of all time... that underwater music gets me every time. I never hear many people give it the praise it deserves. This video showed up in my feed, I’m gonna have to check out the rest now. I’m sure you’re aware of it but Torment: Tides of Numenera is basically a spiritual sequel to Planescape if I understand correctly.
Went through your complete list. Hmmm, I think at most ten of these games I've actually played. Super Mario Bros. 3 would probably make my top 100, while Gabriel Knight 2 maybe my top 20. My list would have more Sega Master System and Mega Drive(Genesis) games. The game platforms I grew up with were(in order) arcade, Commodore 64, IBM PC, Amiga, Sega Master System and Mega Drive. Played a bit of NES and other computers/consoles, but those listed I either owned or had a lot of access to. In the late '90s I either outgrew gaming or gaming outgrew me i.e. the majority of games got CD-ROM sized.
My #1 has long been Phantasy Star 4(Dec. 1993, MD/Gen) though I don't care too much for the first three games of Sega's PStar series. Really enjoyed the story, which is told in the form of comic strip with text. Going through my fave games from the computers/consoles I know best, Rolling Thunder(Namco, '86) is an arcade fave and the original Shinobi(Sega, '87) was like a ninja adaptation of the spy-themed Rolling Thunder, platformer with the same stealth concept, leaping up or down out of harm's way or to catch one of the baddies off guard. So those are probably my top two arcade.
On C64 Impossible Mission(Dennis Caswell, Epyx, US) is a real 1984 standout, in fact Epyx' 'Games' series, starting with Summer Games in '84 had some of the best C64 games my fave being World Games('86) and after that their Street Sports series, particularly Basketball, was pretty cool. So come to think of it I reckon Epyx was probably the most consistently good C64 game source, but I like there were a lot of UK amateur programmers successful at publishing and selling C64 games, Clive Townsend along with Durell Software made Saboteur, a ninja/stealth game in '86. British gamer Mark Cale co-founded System 3 Software and conceived another great C64 ninja game, The Last Ninja, first released in '87, spawning a couple of sequels. Small, London based Microsphere, a married couple plus their friend, had a hit with Skool Daze for C64 in '84, a "school adventure" and puzzle game where naughty schoolboy Eric has to steal his report card from the headmaster's safe. Richard Branson expanded into games in '83 with Virgin Games Ltd. and one of the early ones was Ghettoblaster(C64 only), based on a real life London rasta and his ghettoblaster, you go about London looking for tapes, trying to spread music around the streets, getting people to dance, avoiding the unappreciative e.g police, gangsters, visiting shops for stereo maintenance, eventually taking a successful tape to a record company. Other US made C64 I favour are Ghostbusters(’84 just after the movie, Activision) and Skate or Die(Electronic Arts, ‘87). Both those were ported to NES as well as Epyx’ World Games and California Games.
My dad got his first home computer in '87, a PC clone by Taiwanese, Exzel Corp., cheaply supplied by Computer Imports Ltd., NZ, not really intended for games, though it did have IBM's CGA 4-colour graphics and 640 KBs of RAM, a lot for the time. Of course in '87 soundcards were only starting to be sold for PCs, so we had the standard bleeper. My impression was that you couldn't even play games on this type of computer, but around Xmas '89 I asked my dad if I could get a computer game and he got me a 1984 DOS-only game called Icon:Quest for the Ring by Macrocom(Rand E. Bohrer & Neal White III, Georgia USA) for about $20 at our local Computer Village. Much later I realised just how unique this game happened to be. Simplistic graphics, a good story, mostly text in between levels, but they used a graphics technique noted in the IBM PC manual, but rarely used in games, to get 16 colour graphics on a PC with a CGA graphics card, which generally only allowed graphics to have four colours. This was '83-'84, before the IBM PCjr and the Tandy 1000 with 16 colour standard graphics or IBM's EGA 16 colour graphics cards. Was a top down adventure based on Norse mythology, one of the best games of '84 and still a DOS favourite. I got into text-adventures in early '91 when I was persuaded to buy Police Quest:In Pursuit of Death Angel('87, Sierra). While I became a Sierra fan and played many of their other text adventures, Police Quest 1 along with Space Quest:The Sarien Encounter are my favourite graphical text-advents. My favourite point & clicks were Loom('90, LucasArts), Beneath a Steel Sky('94, Revolution) and Gabriel Knight 2('95, Sierra). I also played some of Infocom's text only adventures particularly liking Zork 1:The Great Underground Empire('80) and Planetfall ('83). And there were a couple of standout strategy games, Sun Tzu's The Ancient Art of War('84, Evryware/Dave and Barry Murray, US for Broderbund) and Defender of the Crown('86, Cinemaware, US). Oh and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? released for DOS first I believe(’85, Broderbund).
Never owned an Amiga, but a close friend had one with lots of games, however I found a lot of them looked and sounded better than they played, except for ports E.g. Sierra and Lucasfilm. Some exceptions were games that were made for the Amiga and it's main competition, the Atari ST or Apple II-GS and proving popular were ported elsewhere like Test Drive('87, Distinctive Software, Canada for Accolade Inc.), Impossible Mission II('88, Novotrade, Hungary for Epyx), Rick Dangerous and the sequel('89, '90, Core Design, UK for MicroProse), North & South('89, Infogrames, France), The Immortal('90, Sandcastle, US for Electronic Arts), Another World/Out of this World('91, Delphine Software, France), Flashback('92, Delphine Software, France). Impossible Mission II, North & South and The Immortal were ported to NES.
Got my first Sega Master System at Xmas '91 after the price had come down a bit, 'cause I knew there were a lot of arcade ports to it and I think as much as I enjoyed adventure games, still preferred the fast pace of the arcade. My fave SMS games are generally not arcade ports though, Hokuto no Ken aka. Fist of the North Star('86, turned into the slightly more plain Black Belt outside Japan), Ashura('86, turned into Rambo II and Secret Command), Alex Kidd in Miracle World('86), Kenseiden('88), Wonder Boy III:Dragon's Trap('89), Spider-Man('90, Sega of America), Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse('92). Got my Mega Drive at Xmas '96 when the Play Station and CD-ROM was taking over and 16-bit consoles and carts were being cleared out. Ultimately I was happy to have something slightly superior to SMS, a lot of its games were too easy and short and video stores still rented a lot of Mega Drive games. Apart from Phantasy Star IV, I enjoyed adventure RPGs like Shining in the Darkness aka "Shining 1"('91, Climax) and Shining Force("Shining 2", '92, Climax). Climax had anther great RPG/adventure game Landstalker('92). Jungle Strike('93, High Score Productions for Electronic Arts), Puggsy('93, Traveller's Tales, UK for Psygnosis), Rocket Knight Adventures('93, Konami), Red Zone('94, Zyrinx, Denmark for Time Warner Interactive).
Great list, Pam. With this series and your adventure game rankings, I have found about 15 games to my Steam wishlist. Also, you got me appreciating smaller, well-written games. I´ve mostly played AAA and AA games before, which is a bit strange since my music and movie taste isn´t at all mainstream. But yeah, have to dig deeper into this artform too. So, thanks again. Great channel, I really like what I´m hearing and seeing in your videos.
Hello. Thank you very much for these great videos. Of course I can't agree with anything, but all the games I know in this top 100 are good or very good. Planescape Torment number 1 is fine with me, really my favorite CRPG of all time. As a big Sega fan, my biggest regret is the lack of great Sega games. By looking at this list, I understand that you are not a big fan of arcade games which are Sega specialty, but have you tried Sega RPGs like Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force, Skies of Arcadia or the more recent Valkyria Chronicles series ? They are very good. Also you seem a fan of JRPG and my favorite one is not on your list : Valkyrie Profile. Have you tried It ? Of my favourite games of all time that are not on this list with very good stories that I think you could like if you have not played them : Deus Ex, Nier Automata, Sanitarium. KOTOR is on your list and not KOTOR 2. KOTOR 2 was completely broken but have you tried it with the restored content (which you can install on Steam Workshop) ? With the resotred content, it is a far better game than KOTOR and really one of the best Star Wars game of all time.
I'm so happy to see a top 5 that doesn't have the obligatory Square and Nintendo love-in! Thanks for sharing a great list of games. PS: Out of your top 5 my number 1 would be X-COM. Such a good series (even the original Amiga game). :)
After watching the entire series of your top 100 games I will say this...your list has to be one of, if not the most unique of these kinds of video game countdown videos I have watched on youtube, with only a handful of triple a games or obvious choices that would be on most lists. That said, only a mad soul would not include Mass Effect 2 in their top 100! While this made many of the games unrelatable to me, it was fascinating to see a list of games belonging to genres I am simply not familiar with. Anyway, it was a wonderful countdown that had me watching all the way to the end. Not to mention that making a top 100 favorite games of all time list is no easy task. I know, I've tried and never can seem to finish it. So, all in all, just wanted to say great job and look forward to your coming videos!
Mh, damn, now I'm torn between replaying Vampire or Torment...I guess it really speaks volumes about these titles if a mere couple minutes of someone discussing them can reignite the will to sink another 40-60 hours into games, which I've already completed multiple times.
Never played the XCOM series, but will definitely try it now. Great reviews, thank you! P.S. I'm also in the party that thought the original Mass Effect 3 ending was fine. :)
I ran into this series today and just watched through the entire series at once. Thank you, Pam, I found a lot of interesting games I didn't know 😀 I went to GOG and Steam to grab some of those interesting games. It happens to be holiday season now and could find some nice deals.
Hey Pam I'd love to see some videos on the Sonic games, the first 3 and Spinball are my favs. Other series I'd love to see you talk about are Megaman and the Pokemon R/B/Y games
V:TM just suffered from a very unfortunate release date sadly, otherwise we could have had sequels, remasters, remakes, who knows. Instead we have a cult classic. I don’t know which is better. Kudos regardless.
New sub here because of the AVGN video. Sorry for what happened to your Aladdin...anyways, you got nice taste on videogames. Gonna binge-watch all your videos.
Great list. Love how you gave a nice summery of each game. There were were quite a few games I have never heard of. Appreciate your hard work. I haven't seen anything at all from the Max Payne series from you, would be curious what you think of that series, as Max Payne 2 is one of my top 5 favorites.
I stumbled on your channel and then had to watch all your top 100 . Great list,, so many of my top games are in it, minus the nes ones which i dont know or have played since I owned an Amiga back then (and played Loom and all the lucas arts/sierra etc there). The thing that drew me watching all of them is the fact that its an honest top list, most youtubers fall in the trap of playing it safe and keep mentioning the same games,.not all of them though, fortunately. I will be watching your videos since I know now that I will find something of interest to me.
With the amount of time and effort you put into this list and the videos, part of me was hoping you would cap it off with: "And my #1 game of all time is... Flappy Bird. Be sure to like and subscribe!"
I recently got Planescape: Torment because of all the praise it has gotten. I'm still very early in the game (only just got out of the mortuary) and I haven't touched it in a little while. With it being your #1 game, I think that's more than enough praise for me to start it up again.
Enjoyed these videos Pam. #5 was a surprise, but the others I guessed before starting the video. Ha ha! Shows that I am paying attention to your videos. Congratulations on seeing it through to the finish line my friend!
Is Enemy Within, not just an upgrade of Enemy Unknown? I was told so and it had all of Unknowns DLC, the AMIGA/PC version is still my favorite, but I do like the new re-boot, if you know if there are any major differences between those 2 versions I'd be intrested to know. By the way nice orginal list, I am so bored of seeing the same old number 1 being Occarina, not that it's bad far from it, I'd place it further down as you did. Some of the ones that would make my list off the top of my head are WORMS TETRIS UFO ENEMY UNKNOWN ROAD RASH II SYNDICATE UTOPIA MASS EFFECT 2 STARFLIGHT FRONTIER ELITE II FIRE EMBLEM MEGA MAN 3 R-TYPE SIMON THE SORCERER TONY HAWK'S 2 CHRONO TRIGGER SUIKODEN II CONTRA III RESIDENT EVIL
Wow! You have a great taste in video games...plus,you are extremely cute too! 😉 Great video as always! ❤ It's very hard for me to make an all-time top 5 favorite video games list...but here we go: 5) "Vampyr" (Xbox One) (Just finished the game, and absolutely loved it) 4) "Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic II" (XBox) 3) "Jade Empire" (XBox) 2) "Final Fantasy 7" (Playstation) 1) "Metal Gear Solid" (Playstation)
Cannot be Tamed The graphics aren't the greatest and there are long load times, but I loved the whole gothic look of London. I also enjoyed the RPG elements to it.
Really enjoyed the list! I think I really do enjoy your channel and this list for the intro to games I never knew existed. I didn't grow up with a PC so seeing all those games are really fascinating, and also the FMV games that I did know exist but didn't have a SEGA CD or know anyone else who had one. Mass Effect 2 being in the top 5 also felt right as it's definitely in my top 5 :D
I don't think anyone out there has an exact same top 5 as anyone else. That doesn't make anyone wrong. Just different! Mine are 1. DragonForce Sega Saturn 2. Secret of Mana Super Nintendo 3. Fallout 4 New Vegas Xbox 360 4. Shining the holy ark Sega Saturn 5. Rainbow 6 Siege PS4 Honourable mentions Hunter Commodore Amiga, Spyhunter ZX Spectrum 48k, Legend of Zelda a link to the past Super Nintendo.
I have so many of these games already, but the list kinda makes me want to play them again. There were also couple new ones that I may have to check out.
I held off on the last five entries in your series so I could marathon the last 25 games. What a wonderful, diverse list. I have absolutely no idea how I would go about assembling a personal Top 100 games list. I know my number one would most likely be The Secret of Monkey Island, but there were also games in your list that I have had in the backlog for decades. Perhaps it is time to finally play a few. I can only imagine how much time you put into planning, playing + capturing, shooting, and editing this series. Well done. Well done, indeed. Where do you go from here?
It was a lot of work. Probably about 10 hours an episode. Glad you enjoyed it! As to what's next? I have a some retro reviews planned and would like to do a few system-specific collection videos.
(panting and gasping for air) okay... Finally made it... End of the line... And no Wilbury in sight. You say in this video you like it when people tell you you showed them a game they never heard of, well then you'll love me. Lady, almost every game you talk about is a game I never heard of before. Which is why I started watching your videos. That and because UA-cam keeps trying to jam your content down my throat, but I'm not complaining. Other than my nephew's videos on my account, I really don't play games, but I decided to get games in case there's an internet shortage, yes I'm paranoid, or something and I would like to have things to help pass the time since we're still in a plague so it's not like I'll be able to just go out. Most of my wishlist and games that I've purchased so far is due to your videos.
@@Cannotbetamed1 same here, cause if I don't... (shaking fist) One series I picked up cause it reminded me of a game I've seen you talk about, Monkey Island, but I don't know if you've mentioned this game before. It's called Deponia. If it sucks and you've warned us in a video I haven't seen, I'll have no one to blame but myself😢 but the series was on sale so I don't mind the risk.
Very good list, also on elaboration, so i expanded my wishlist. Funny, pst and bloodlines are also in my top 5. I will give you a few recommendations in case you didnt play them: -Valkyrie: Profile (ps1) -Valkyria Chronicles (ps3/pc) -Shining Force III (saturn) Those are like crack!
I still have to beat Torment. It's sooooo big and seemingly has like 2 million hours of dialogue. At least I beat those other Black Isle RPGs, Baldur's Gate (+ Addon) and Baldur's Gate II (still need to beat Throne of Bhaal), which are very high on my personal top 100. However, my most favorite game of all time is Fallout 2.
@@Cannotbetamed1 May I reccommend the "Killap's Restoration Project Mod" for Fallout 2? It adds a lot of previously cut content and restores it to what the developers wished to release, if it hadn't been for time constraints. www.nma-fallout.com/resources/fallout-2-restoration-project-unofficial-expansion-windows-installer.10/ All in all, it adds a few HOURS worth of additional gameplay.
I havent been keeping up with the entire list, but I am going to go back and have a look at it! Interestingly, Ive never heard of your number 1 game - I will have to look into it. As far as my own personal favourites, there are games I have found memorable, for their emotional content - at least one of which you introduced me to (stasis and its sequel, I can't remember if I heard about The Swapper from you or if that was someone else, either way brilliant stuff). The first is Silent Hill 2, I think. I can think of few games that inspired such emotion and such a sense of immersion (maybe because I have depression, and I think it touches on that very very well). Everything, from the music to the story to the visuals to the sound effects its just creepy (the first time I played it I could rarely play it at night) and, revisiting it I got a great feeling of sadness from it, tinged with beauty. The Swapper and the Stasis games are on the list too, mainly for their uniqueness. Another would be Knights of the Old Republic, hasnt held up that great in some ways but it was amazing in its day. Doom 3 I like because it scared the crap out of me, and first 3 Mass Effect games (havent played Andromeda, and yes - I like the end of 3, its about sacrifice and how whatever choices we make in life, we still get screwed, lol). The first Streets of Rage on the Megadrive/Genesis, ecap attack on the same system, I should probably make a video - maybe one day, lol. Either way, what I have seen of your series has been very insightful, and I will be going back and watching it all - you have a very discerning eye, and I think we have similar sensibilities in some ways, so I look forward to catching up on the other entries. Hopes this finds you well, Pam - thank you for the list. :o)
I've always wanted to play the Silent Hill games but I've never been able to get into them. I turned off 1 out of fear of the radio very quickly and haven't spent more than a few minutes with 2. Maybe I should watch a Let's Play of them so I can get the story.
Yes, the radio is a very creepy feature. Very well made games, the first three really are very good. Later in the series they did seem to lose their way a bit, but the first ones were very effective. Actually, your piece about women in videogames recently - Maria in SH2 is an amazing female character (although she isnt a mother). What all the female characters in SH2 represent are incredibly complex actually - worth watching a lets play for that reason alone, perhaps. And then of course the player character in three is a young girl, though its debatable if shes a mother figure - she certainly can be seen that way by the end of the game. Worth checking out. :o)
Wonderful list and thank you for sharing it. I really do have to play PST one of these days, it just looks so overwhelming though. And happy to see my fav as your number 2, Bloodlines will always have a special place in my heart. The current developers are teasing a sequel, which I can't wait for.
I went through your top 10 list, kinda browsing your videos to see if Armored Core made it. Wasn't that epic of gameplay, but I really enjoyed being a robot bounty hunter and the storyline had some interesting plot twist. Not sure if you are familiar but it was pretty cool! 😊
@@Cannotbetamed1 It's for the PS1. I can't remember if part 2 was ps1 or ps2. But definitely worth a look if you would enjoy a robot equipped with a jet pack and fly around collecting bounties. 😊
Hi Pam, thanks for this great series. I've been inspired to try a few of your favorite games. Curious if there's any games you've played that were highly acclaimed but you felt disappointed by? Thanks again
Hey Pam, I'm a new fan of the channel and catching up on a bunch of your older content. X-Com as your number 3?! Can we be best friends? Sorry to get weird right there. It's rare that I find anyone with my love of X-Com. I've been a fan since the original DOS game from MicroProse. Firaxis has done an amazing job with the newer versions. I've never played your number one pick (in fact, I didn't even know it existed), but I have played the table-top version of Planescape in AD&D 2nd edition. It was a very unique D&D campaign setting and knowing there's a video game set in that universe, I'm going to have to track it down and check it out. Thanks!
Congratulations on the milestone episode, and thank you for sharing! By the way, loved Mass Effect 2; Mordin quickly became my favorite character in the series.
Mass Effect and Xcom series are some of my favorites of all time (I'm still playing the heck out of Xcom 2). And I agree with you regarding Vampire: Masquerade's haunted hotel segment; it always scared the shit out of me every time I got to that part.
Thank you! I knew you'd guess my number 1. We have good taste!
Cannot be Tamed True dat!
The MASS EFFECT series is phenomenal.
Enjoy!
Great list. VtMB is in my top 10 for sure.
Thanks!
Great taste in games and I even want to play some I don't know about before. Was quite happy to see Doom and a few horror games on your list. Cant wait for Bloodlines 2!
Incredibly unique list and top 5 in particular. I need to give Planescape a full playthrough asap!
Original UFO Enemy Unknown is my best gave ever! Looks remake it's in your top 5 :) Nice
My top 5
1. Shining Force III

Only played Rayman it was good - we've had alternative journeys im our gaming lives.
🙋🏻♂️
Damn nice list,
Only games missing that I can think of right now are original XCOM: Ufo Defence (UFO: Enemy Unknown in EU), Dungeon Master, Metal Gear and System Shock.
Thanks !
mass effect 2 is the best mass effect,i agree
I have never played an XCOM game, but my gaming buddies from the 80/90s always told me all the Xcom games are awesome. As someone who has never played any of the games, which Xcom would you recommend playing first? (or even an order to play them all)
I'm surprised I never heard of that vampire game before. Looks pretty good.
I bought it a few weeks ago and finished it once, started a new playthrough too. Great game, play when you can.
My personal favorite Games of All Time (one per franchise only):
1. Uncharted 4
2. Bioshock Infinite
3. The Last of Us

21. Battlefield Bad Company 2
22. The Battle for Middle Earth
23. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
24. Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology
25. Killer Instinct Gold
Divinity Original Sin 2 was so good. I had already finalized my list when I played it though.
I just used the unofficial patch for Bloodlines.
excellent choice for #1. such a great game, and you're right, the writing is top class throughout
Planescape: Torment the 🐐
I remember crying for like 5 minutes straight at the end of it.
Hi Pam, below are the top 100 games in your lists. The ones with "-" are those I also own and have played. These are the best videos you've made, imo, as I've told you. You play a wide variety of games, not just indies and retros, and that's one reason I subbed you.

Cool, looks like lots of overlap in what we’ve played.
I noticed Oddworld Abe's oddysee / exoddus is not on your list. Have you not played it or just don't like it?
Great job with the series, I fully expect your top 100 video games you hate list by tomorrow. ;)
Ha! I will be making a video about popular games that I don't like.
I am so late, you'll probably make a revisited list soon :)
Would love to know your Top 10 video games to have on a deserted island.
Very unique list. Found some games I would never think of trying. Thanks.
Awesome!
Never had a pc so I missed out on alot of these ive only played like 10 of the games on your list 😂😂
I've watched a lot of videos about it though.
i don't see even pokemon red/silver,nor super mario land 2 and super metroid
I've only recently subscribed so I've come to this series late, but I enjoyed your picks (and the red panda shirt). How did you even rank 100 of your favourites? That seems like a mammoth undertaking in itself. I do a "favourite games" show on my channel every few months, and after 8 episodes I still have fears that sooner or later I'll run out of games to talk about ^^
I loved seeing Rayman Legends on the list.
If you check out the rest of this series, you will see Torment Tides of Numenera :)
Thanks for watching the whole thing
Aww so sad that it is over now a top 100 adventure games list please
Great list, Pam. With this series and your adventure game rankings, I have found about 15 games to my Steam wishlist. Also, you got me appreciating smaller, well-written games. I´ve mostly played AAA and AA games before, which is a bit strange since my music and movie taste isn´t at all mainstream. But yeah, have to dig deeper into this artform too.
So, thanks again. Great channel, I really like what I´m hearing and seeing in your videos.
Thanks for watching!
I never played much Sega growing up, didn't own any Sega consoles until the last few years.
Planescape... fuckin' nailed it. As good as crpg's get.
"The Final Countdown!" 🎤🎸🎶
We're finally here. It's been emotional.
Now that some will be in my head all day.
I'm so happy to see a top 5 that doesn't have the obligatory Square and Nintendo love-in! Thanks for sharing a great list of games.
PS: Out of your top 5 my number 1 would be X-COM. Such a good series (even the original Amiga game). :)
Glad you liked it!
Tbh i didnt expect to see rayman legends in the list. Such an underrated game
Thank you for watching them all.
Mh, damn, now I'm torn between replaying Vampire or Torment...I guess it really speaks volumes about these titles if a mere couple minutes of someone discussing them can reignite the will to sink another 40-60 hours into games, which I've already completed multiple times.
Play both :)
Never played the XCOM series, but will definitely try it now. Great reviews, thank you! P.S. I'm also in the party that thought the original Mass Effect 3 ending was fine. :)
Yay!
I ran into this series today and just watched through the entire series at once. Thank you, Pam, I found a lot of interesting games I didn't know 😀 I went to GOG and Steam to grab some of those interesting games. It happens to be holiday season now and could find some nice deals.
Awesome, hope you picked up some good stuff!
Hey Pam I'd love to see some videos on the Sonic games, the first 3 and Spinball are my favs. Other series I'd love to see you talk about are Megaman and the Pokemon R/B/Y games
I'm not a Sonic fan.
V:TM just suffered from a very unfortunate release date sadly, otherwise we could have had sequels, remasters, remakes, who knows. Instead we have a cult classic. I don’t know which is better. Kudos regardless.
Troika had a way of making very interesting games that were riddled with development and release issues.
Bloodlines 2 March 2020 hoping it will be as dope as the original
New sub here because of the AVGN video. Sorry for what happened to your Aladdin...anyways, you got nice taste on videogames. Gonna binge-watch all your videos.
Hello!
Great list. Love how you gave a nice summery of each game. There were were quite a few games I have never heard of. Appreciate your hard work. I haven't seen anything at all from the Max Payne series from you, would be curious what you think of that series, as Max Payne 2 is one of my top 5 favorites.
I played a tiny bit of the first game, but that's my entire experience with the series.
I know this video was done 3 years ago but have you played Disco Elysium-The final cut ?
I played the initial version when it first released, haven't played the final cut yet.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
With the amount of time and effort you put into this list and the videos, part of me was hoping you would cap it off with: "And my #1 game of all time is... Flappy Bird. Be sure to like and subscribe!"
hahaha
I recently got Planescape: Torment because of all the praise it has gotten. I'm still very early in the game (only just got out of the mortuary) and I haven't touched it in a little while. With it being your #1 game, I think that's more than enough praise for me to start it up again.
Yeah! Have fun with it.
rayman 2(PC version) is MUCH MUCH better than rayman legends, lol
Ew, no.
Enjoyed these videos Pam. #5 was a surprise, but the others I guessed before starting the video. Ha ha! Shows that I am paying attention to your videos. Congratulations on seeing it through to the finish line my friend!
Thank you! And good job guessing 4 of them :)
yeah, I know I'm 3 years late, but seriously, no Shining Force in the top 100? hope Daria wasn't too disappointed with you
Never played a Shining Force. Don't tell her.
Check out Phoenix Point if you haven't already. It's from Julian Gollop, the father of the X-COM franchise.
Oh, that looks cool. Not out for a while though.
the evil within, donkey kong 3d. will have to check out xcom
Some of the ones that would make my list off the top of my head are
WORMS
TETRIS
UFO ENEMY UNKNOWN
ROAD RASH II
SYNDICATE
UTOPIA
MASS EFFECT 2
STARFLIGHT
FRONTIER ELITE II
FIRE EMBLEM
MEGA MAN 3
R-TYPE
SIMON THE SORCERER
TONY HAWK'S 2
CHRONO TRIGGER
SUIKODEN II
CONTRA III
RESIDENT EVIL
Enemy Within is an expansion pack for EU.
@@Cannotbetamed1 Cheers.
Wow! You have a great taste in video games...plus,you are extremely cute too! 😉 Great video as always! ❤ It's very hard for me to make an all-time top 5 favorite video games list...but here we go:
5) "Vampyr" (Xbox One) (Just finished the game, and absolutely loved it)
4) "Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic II" (XBox)
3) "Jade Empire" (XBox)
2) "Final Fantasy 7" (Playstation)
1) "Metal Gear Solid" (Playstation)
I liked Vampyr as well... not sure where it would fall in my list though. I usually need a bit to think about a game.
Cannot be Tamed The graphics aren't the greatest and there are long load times, but I loved the whole gothic look of London. I also enjoyed the RPG elements to it.
Did you play the original xcom games from the 80s? I still prefer them over the modern versions. But both series are very good.
Not really. They really just throw you into it with zero explanation.
I love Masquerade and Xcom too. I think I will add planescape to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing!
No problem!
Great list. I'll have to check some out.
I have Xcom Enemy Unkown and have never played it. I'll try it now.
Have fun, hope you enjoy it!
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed and that I could introduce you to some new games.
Could not be more different than the typical top 100 list. Well done and congratu!ations, young Miss.
Thank you!
i binged the whole series and found plenty of games i want to play and some i love already! good stuff
That's awesome, thanks for watching the whole thing
I don't think anyone out there has an exact same top 5 as anyone else. That doesn't make anyone wrong. Just different!
Mine are
1. DragonForce Sega Saturn
2. Secret of Mana Super Nintendo
3. Fallout 4 New Vegas Xbox 360
4. Shining the holy ark Sega Saturn
5. Rainbow 6 Siege PS4
Honourable mentions Hunter Commodore Amiga, Spyhunter ZX Spectrum 48k, Legend of Zelda a link to the past Super Nintendo.
I kind of want to replay New Vegas.
Cannot be Tamed it's my favourite. 👌
Rats... I lost $20 from myself because I was sure #1 was going to be Felix the Cat. :)
It got kind of close.
I have so many of these games already, but the list kinda makes me want to play them again. There were also couple new ones that I may have to check out.
Awesome
You need to try Eternal Darkness on Gamecube.
my favorite game of ALL TIME is Warhawk, and there's no second close.
I've never played that
very good list! makes me want to play some more Planescape:Torment...
It makes me want to as well.
Vampire the masquerade looks wild, I’d love to play it. What console was it on?
PC
I hope you like the games you've picked up because of my videos!
@@Cannotbetamed1 same here, cause if I don't... (shaking fist)
One series I picked up cause it reminded me of a game I've seen you talk about, Monkey Island, but I don't know if you've mentioned this game before. It's called Deponia. If it sucks and you've warned us in a video I haven't seen, I'll have no one to blame but myself😢 but the series was on sale so I don't mind the risk.
I have discovered a lot of PC games, thanks for all your lists. Greetings from Peru.
Glad to introduce you to some new games :)
I really enjoyed watching all these top 100 games video you have some really good taste in game :)
Thanks for watching the whole series
Very good list, also on elaboration, so i expanded my wishlist. Funny, pst and bloodlines are also in my top 5. I will give you a few recommendations in case you didnt play them:
-Valkyrie: Profile (ps1)
-Valkyria Chronicles (ps3/pc)
-Shining Force III (saturn)
Those are like crack!
I haven’t played any of those
@@Cannotbetamed1 cannot blame you, there are so many games out there...
I need to reapaly the Fallouts sometime, it's been a while.
@@Cannotbetamed1 May I reccommend the "Killap's Restoration Project Mod" for Fallout 2? It adds a lot of previously cut content and restores it to what the developers wished to release, if it hadn't been for time constraints.
www.nma-fallout.com/resources/fallout-2-restoration-project-unofficial-expansion-windows-installer.10/
All in all, it adds a few HOURS worth of additional gameplay.
I keep hearing of possibilities of new World of Darkness games. I hope something happens (and that it's not an MMO).
Indeed, Werewolf the Apocalypse should be out soon enough. I don't know how interested I am in playing lycanthropes but we'll see.
I went through your top 10 list, kinda browsing your videos to see if Armored Core made it. Wasn't that epic of gameplay, but I really enjoyed being a robot bounty hunter and the storyline had some interesting plot twist. Not sure if you are familiar but it was pretty cool! 😊
I've heard of it, but don't know too much about it.
@@Cannotbetamed1 It's for the PS1. I can't remember if part 2 was ps1 or ps2. But definitely worth a look if you would enjoy a robot equipped with a jet pack and fly around collecting bounties. 😊
I've been debating starting your number 1. I think I might just take the plunge.
Yeah, go for it. The enhanced edition is good.
Hi Pam, thanks for this great series. I've been inspired to try a few of your favorite games. Curious if there's any games you've played that were highly acclaimed but you felt disappointed by? Thanks again
I have a video planned on that very topic.
Awesome, I look forward to that!
Awesome picks for number 1 & 2!!!
this is the sexiest top 100 games list i‘ve ever seen.
Congrats on finishing this ambitious list. Some great and original picks!
Thanks!
I saw a gamer girl and I played the video.
Hot taste! (If thats even a word haha) great series keep on rockin CBT !
Thanks!
That's a fine choice for your #1. I agree that it is the height of videogame storytelling, there's never been anything like it since.
i don't see resident evil 4(gamecube version) here
Then you didn't watch all the videos.
I loooove your taste in games... mostly because we have exactly the same taste haha
Haha
I love Mordin! The continuation of his story in 3 made me cry :(
Excellent videos. I'm new and subscribed.
Hello! And thank you
Wow... I have the same opinion with 4 of her Top 5 picks. My only change would be Beyond G&E for Disgaea.
Comparing your list to mine makes me feel stupid
Everyone likes different things
wonderful series Pam learned of a lot of games i never herd of good work
Thank you!
Mass Effect and Xcom series are some of my favorites of all time (I'm still playing the heck out of Xcom 2). And I agree with
you regarding Vampire: Masquerade's haunted hotel segment; it always scared the shit out of me every time I got to that part.
Every time someone mentions XCOM I want to play again. Like I want to play XCOM2 now with all the DLC.
