    Tendu is the second most important step of Ballet! Learning correct form for this "stretched" movement sets up the foundation for strong, gorgeous, graceful legs. This video takes you through the basics so you'll get the most from your ballet barre. Enjoy!

    Just clarifying when you talk about the "to the side" tendu going slightly in front. Is it supposed to follow the direction your toes are pointing when standing turned out?

      Excellent question! Yes, slide the leg in the direction of the toes (as opposed to taking it directly in line with the ear). Tendu side will be different for each person depending on their proper turnout alignment. :-D
