She will bring a power ballad with a strong message and will try to get a new victory for Israel at Eurovision 2024. Mainly in English but with a part in Hebrew, Israel will need to perform first in one of the semifinals to make it to the grand final on the 11th of May in Malmö.

Every time I listen to the song I cry for those young people who went to dance at the Nova festival and were murdered. One of them was my student "Tahir". One of them was the nephew of my neighbors "Ofek". Boys and girls who just wanted to dance. You felt the pain through the song. We live with this pain.
As part of the Jewish community (green wig), I suffer that pain as well. Even if we are from another country, far away… we are a family. That’s why I couldn’t hide my tears. We wish Eden the best of luck 🎗️
I live in Israel now and I cry every time I hear the song, I am very touched that most people feel the same way.

Eden is phenomenal!! The lyrics are sublimely meaningful and simple. I have watched this over a hundred times (no exaggeration). I actually listened to it in one day, alone, from morning to sun-down. How can a song and the singer evoke the same trembling traveling upwards from the spine accompanied by weeping. Are the angels weeping with me? Is this song divinely inspired? Eden's singing these lyrics alone transcends Eurovision. A Masterpiece!!

This is a song about loss and grief, and the longing to keep each other close. A song tributing those who died before their time but also a song to let others around the world, you know what? It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to feel broken, we’re right there with you, feeling scared and uncertain of our future, but as long as we hold onto love and each other we can survive this, we can see a light at the end of the darkness.
Regardless of whether Israel is capable of actually winning this competition, it’s a win to be able to share something that’s touched the souls of so many. To continue to show solidarity with our community through music and art.
It’s a shame that people find the need to not only excessively shame her and send threats but also dehumanise her, isrealis and Jews around the world. People forget that Eden is 20yo woman, who dreams of singing on stage, she has absolutely no involvement with the war or global politics. She’s just a girl who wants to sing. It’s incredibly brave of her to stand tall in a competition she knows she has no chance of winning, just so she can share her love and her music. Any other year or competition, this song would have made no 1.

The thing is… was her invited? I know that she wasn’t invited to the one in Madrid as the organizers prefer politics than music. Few years ago, they didn’t mind when they hired IMRI as a host… they were drooling for obvious reasons 🤤

But not to the one in Madrid for example. I understand that the best right now is not attending to those pre parties for security reasons. But there are other ways to participate, for example, online. How many preparties have suggested that option? We will never know...
