Outstanding! A simple fix that doesn't require a days worth of work to accomplish.

I think the design flaw is that they should have run the pitch bungie cord from side to side instead of front to back. This would require less force for small movements near center while it would take more force for larger deflections where the bungie would have more of a V shape.

First of all thank you you made a very interesting video. I have the problem that in the dive it is really very hard . By simply changing the springs I should solve the problem right? The only doubt I have living in Italy and the length of the springs and the 0.4kg is ok or should I take a different weight considering I am looking for softness in dive and gyro. Thank you very much. Hi.

sorry for the late reply but YT failed to notify me of the comment. So, what i would recommend is to get 3 or 4 different springs with different ratings and pick out the one that suits you best. The only thing is if the spring tension is too low it will not be able to center the yoke.

Any tips on removing the lid ? I have taken off the eight screws but the lid seems hard to take off?

Thanks for the details! Which mod are you using for that vertical mounting of the table clamps?

I made a larger/wider mounting bracket out of a small piece of plywood which as you can see, allows me to put the screw clamps on top. This set up only requires clearance of 3/8”. I removed the 1” diameter center piece from the original bracket and installed it in the new plywood. If you would like PM me with an email and I will send some photos for detail

It has worked out great and I am very glad I modified it. After getting the spring lengths set so that it centers I have not made any other adjustments. And the springs have not came loose or stretched
